      Im not sure, I took it more as one of those situations where when someone is very suicidal, but the moment the jump off the bridge, or kick the chair, they instantly regret it, and those that survive, like the rope breaking or just not drowning, end up completely having a different view of life. And I think that was expressed with her happily greeting her husband in the photo

    By trying to kill her, the assassin saved her life from the game & the game saved her life from the assassin. Meaning, if she didn’t have a loaded gun in her hand about to play Russian roulette, then the assassin would have been able to shoot her. But if assassin didn’t come to kill her, she would have shot herself. So the two deadly forces canceled each other out.

    That is such a complex emotional twist man!
    Imagine having set up a game years ago from poor mental health, a degree of deniability for your unaliving thoughts, an all or nothing adrenaline rush for when you "need" it.
    And imagine you go to follow through, about pop yourself in the dome unknowingly. If it had happened, it would have been an betrayal of god, or just a brutal reality brought by her own hand, either one a valid interpretation.
    But imagine that complexity in the moment, feeling like it's time to put it all on the line, someone tries to take your life instead of your choice, so you take the chance to shoot back and the bullet meant for you to fulfill the purpose you sent into motion during times of mental illness, turns out to be your salvation.
    Thrilling.
    Then finding out shortly after that someone loaded them all that day.

    • @NationalDevin
      @NationalDevin 3 місяці тому +45

      So she went back to her previous game, the one prior to the attempt on her life. She initially plays, shoots the man and thinks that it's the loaded one of the three. She realizes that she picked the loaded one, we see her thoughts work as she connects that she would have died if she actually shot, then gets to realize she grew afraid for her life being taken and then the gun in her hand was the gun that would have also killed her.
      Russian Roulette is meant to only have one gun loaded, as she says and as we see in this very video, as she survives. After the "Mess" is cleaned up, she returns to her desk, finding the remaining two guns and fires them. They both fire, which means they're loaded. The person responsible for loading them, if it's an assigned role, loaded all three guns to fire. Regardless if you want to argue we only saw the gunpowder flash, that flash would still have killed her, so regardless, someone primed each pistol for her Russian Roulette game to fire. IF they are all able to be fired, it's someone taking abuse of the game to get her to kill herself. Had the assassin waited two minutes longer, she would have been the victim of someone else's plot.
      She doesn't need to mention it, because we as the observers should be there with her as she clearly does the math, giving us a chance to pause and consider the events unfolding too. And if you've binged the series, you see people trying to kill her and others aaaaall along the trip, so what's yet another attempt among many?

      Even if it's a movie and not a show, Schindler's List comes really close to what happens when someone takes a bullet to the head. Look for the forced labor camp construction scene where an engineer is executed for arguing with the Nazis. I've (unfortunately) seen countless videos of executions over some 20 years on the internet and that bit during the scene was frighteningly realistic since the actress that portrayed the engineer was an actual gymnast.
      She falls down exactly like people do in real life, like a robot that suddenly ran out of battery and just slumps to the ground. The only thing avoiding her folding up like a pretzel are the tendons and joints that can't fold in ways they aren't designed for, even using residual energy stored in the muscles to bounce back up a little bit like I've seen some people do.
      Even the way the blood shoots out of her head looked like it was real, I'm absolutely sure that whoever was in charge on that set watched some of the same videos I did to use as reference for the way she reacted when shot.

    I mean, it wouldnt really work with these guns since in order to shoot the gun you needed gunpowder on the flap up top (i have no clue what its called) so when it comes smashing down it makes a spark, which ignites the powder inside, which fires the gun. If one of them was loaded, then the one with powder on the metal flap would be the one you dont want to choose.

    Roulette="little wheel". Russian Roulette is played with a revolver because you can spin the chamber (i.e. little wheel). What she's playing here is not Russian Roulette. It's just a deadly game of chance with three single shot black powder pistols. The "roulette" part is key in Russian Roulette! You play it with one revolver and spin the chamber and pass it round and spin the chamber before pulling the trigger.
    What shes playing doesn't make sense if she's the one loading the ammo since they are single shot...she would know which gun has the ammo (assuming she was the one who loaded it) and defeats the purpose of luck altogether. Playing real Russian Roulette randomizes the chance every time the chamber is spun.
