Thank you very much for this video. I'm debating subscribing to Descript and this has helped me understand a bit more what it might be able to do for me. I don't feel like I'd be going in completely cold now. Subscribed.
Thank you - I really love Descript but it changes at a pace that is hard to keep up with. I sometimes don't use it or a few months and then so much has changed it's like a new platform - so thank you for this - I really appreciate your work and the simplicity of your instructions
Thank you for the kind words and glad you found it useful! Yes, I hear that almost daily. In fact, my little business probably wouldn’t exist if Descript didn’t update so often 😅 but I hear you. It’s a lot to keep up with. I’d imagine at some point the pace of change will slow down but they’re still in the building phase it seems like.
Thank you for the tutorial - how do you undo something? I just crossed-lined some words and am not sure what I did but now a few scentes in the area are blurry 😯 and I could not figure out how to undo it nor did I understand what I did. The video was fine but I can't see the words anymore and I don't understand why?
To immediately undo, you can press Command + Z on your keyboard (on Mac) or go to Edit > Undo. If you’ve made several changes and need to undo a lot of steps, you can click the Descript logo in the top left corner then go to File then Version History. From there you have the option to restore earlier versions of your project. If it’s of interest, yesterday I released a more in-depth tutorial you might find useful: Complete Descript Tutorial [Dec 2023] ua-cam.com/video/1eqTC7Usc5c/v-deo.html
Oh, and if the words are crossed out, that means they are ignored. You can un-ignore them simply by hovering your mouse over them and a little back arrow appears over them to restore them.
i have some flicker in the video of a gopro footage for a podcast . do i need to fix that with final cut and some plugins or does ai have a way to deal with it too ?
Depends on the flicker. What’s the cause? Is it from the lighting? You’ll want to play around with the effects setting if so. Does it affect the whole screen? If not, is it possible to crop what is messed up. Is it constant or just every once in awhile? If it’s intermittent, you could always just put b-roll over those parts.
its because of frames per second recording and LED in the back that refresh kinda the same so yes entire screen for entire recording. there are some difficult and pricey ways how to deal with it but i was wondering if ai could fix in descript.@@DescriptMastery

Excellent! That's what I'm here for :)
Thank you! I have watched SOOO many Descript tutorials and yours is by far the best! Better than Descript themselves!
Thank you for saying so and I’m glad it was useful!

Hey so sorry for the super late reply, I somehow missed your comment. Unfortunately there's not a way to fix the FPS flicker using Descript.
