Yes, just drag it into the project and from there you can edit it the same way you'd edit any other sound track

That must've been an older video. Descript consolidated the Project files & Compositions into the "Projects" tab. So, all your files are there under Projects

oh and sorry, I think I misread your comment. to Organize the Projects THEMSELVES, you can create "Folders" and that is done from the Drive view (the view you get when you first open Descript). But, it can be only done from the WORKSPACE tab. Hard to explain without being able to attach screenshots but hopefully this makes sense!

It defaults to filling the entire scene that you applied it to. So if your whole video is one scene, it'll fill the whole video

In that case, you can bring the audio file into Descript just like you would bring in a video or image. It'll be a new layer and you can place it wherever you want it go at the end of the video.

You are correct, if you're not publishing your transcript, then there's no reason to waste time fixing up the transcript. I do have some videos about fast ways to do it but ultimately, if you're not using captions or publishing the transcript, I recommend skipping it.

No, I've never had a problem with the files...sorry not sure why that would be happening.

For a non-editor looking for transcription, Descript has some serious advantages. You can get started with basic recordings quickly and use the transcript to edit everything.

Hello, yes it does! When you bring the tracks into a project for editing, you'll get the same transcription prompt as any other project. And, be aware, it will transcribe each guests' track so that could eat up alot of transcription time if you're ever cutting it close on the monthly limits.

It's great and doesn't break the bank!

If you use Studio in your phone's browser and put the phone into desktop mode, you can see it that way.

I agree!

After accepting the clips, there's no way to bulk change them. What you can do instead is create a Template for the clips that is in landscape. Then, select that template when you're applying the Underlord effect.

But, if you do want to change your existing ones one at a time, you'll need to change the aspect ratio for each one using the button in the top left of the editor window.

@@DescriptMastery thanks, I was afraid of that. Dang, I had trouble changing that ratio, always found myself screwing it all up. lol. I do want to use a template in the future though! what do you use to create your template? Canva?

On the cell phone browser, go into settings and check the box that says "desktop version" or similar. This will force the browser to get the desktop version of the site and it should work. It's recommended to use desktop if possible though so you may have issues from the cellphone
