Is this channel focused mainly on Ulster irish or irish in general. I want to focus on the Munster dialect but can't find a good channel on youtube to help since there are no Adult irish learning classes in my area. Most channels I came across seem to be mainly Ulster or does this all matter as I want relearn Irish from the beginning and speak it with family in the South when I visit them.

This channel focuses on Irish because it's all the same language and we really shouldn't be getting excited about dialects. I would generally use standard Irish with a Munster flavour if that helps.

My pleasure, the best way to begin is to begin. One word at a time, one phrase at a time and one verb at a time. Enjoy and embrace. Forget about any nonsense about dialects.

I’m so happy for these vids especially in the Munster/Leinster tone! My ancestors were from Cork & Waterford over 6 generations ago and I plan to master the language in my lifetime! Go Raibh Maith Agat!

I have been watching your videos. I like them. I and my family have spoken "Connacht" Irish all of our lives, and I have heard speakers who criticise your pronunciation. I do not criticise it at all. I like your simple, straightforward, easygoing method of teaching and I find quite a lot to learn from your methods. I believe that anyone who learns Irish your way will be understood by all, and will understand the language quite well at the end. They will gain an appreciation of the language. The positive comments tell their own story. Fair play to you, and the best of luck!
Bím ag breathnú ar do chuid físeán. Is maith liom iad. Labhramar Gaeilge Chonnacht lenár saol agus chualas daoine a chaith anuas ar do bhealach labhartha. Níl mé féin a chaitheamh anuas ar chor ar bith air. Éinne a n-éireos leo an Ghaeilge a fhoghlaim an bealach a mhúineann tú í beidh siad in ann labhairt go soiléir agus beidh siad in ann an teanga a thuiscint. Gheobhaidh siad tuiscint ar leith don teanga. Tá a scéal féin á inseacht ag na moltaí anseo. Lean ort agus nár lagaí Dia thú!
