- After our controversial video for ‘The Best Fish And Chips In Whitby’, we decided to see what the town of Bridlington had to offer.
We based our choices on a combination of factors, choosing from Google, Trip Advisor and recommendations from our Instagram page.

I love all your cool videos but this is my fav I am going to Bridders this Sept for a week with my gf Kathryn looking forward to eating at these great fish n chips and hopefully the greek stand close to the pier thanks for your great video and please dont look at Leala in an angry matter 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've lived in Brid for twelve years, but the best are at Inghams in Belle Vue Crescent, Filey. Sorry, they're better than Pride of Brid or No.149 in my opinion.

I personally stay clear of Busy Bees "Think they have 3 shops in Brid" Been a few times in the past and much prefer other Fish & Chip shops in the locality

@@MeatsAndCheatsAs someone else said, Ship To Shore on Flamborough Road. And on a nice day, although more expensive due to the location and its costs, North Beach Fish and Chips is a pleasant place to sit out with a great view.
I thought Quay Road was the best when I stayed with my son for a few months!!

We went to harbour fisheries and loved the fish and chips,did try jacks I think it was and they were nice also,this was only last week🦈🦈

Jacks is a friend of the family they are ok but buys second class fish, sorry jacks plus you can not buy a small portion even if not a pensioner 😂( can at any other)

Last shop you said they don’t do minis, what was the sign behind you that said small fish and chips £6 something? Was that a different chippy Nextdoor. Also does no where do curry or gravy in Brid?
Funnily enough, when we were editing this video, we hilariously saw the sign behind us. The minis weren’t on the menu but they did do a mini. 😂

Audrey’s in Brid is really nice. Definitely worth a visit.
You missed a trick at Pier 6 though, their slush’s with a double gin thrown in are lush 👌👌

We had originally planned to go to Audrey’s but it was sadly shut when we arrived. Same with Allens.

@@MeatsAndCheats we did go to Bridlington but didn’t go to the chippy, we went to Apollo’s instead 1/10, would not recommend. Absolutely shocking.

I stopped going to 149,bought fish an chips and got fish tale and chips, stopped going.Paid full price,big tall over weight fish fryer ripping off customers expecting award winning fish and chips.
Beef dripping is the key. Where i live the chippies are all run by musselmen, and they do'nt use it.
Forget the sea front, if you want real good fish and chips try 149 Marton Road. Nearly as good as Billy Murgatroyds Yeadon, nearly!

The World’s BEST Fish & Chips are made by Indians, as our Fish & Chips are cooked in generous amounts of hot chillies and a variety of Indian spices; whereas the way white British cook Fish & Chips renders them bland as ice-cubes. In fact recipes for ALL British savoury meals need to be re-written with the addition of hot chillies and a variety of Indian spices
Ya think Murgys at Yeadon is good Kempy ? Only live a short way away. I thought they were bland, especially the chips. Only been once, mind. Might have been an off day !
Although the mushy peas are deelish at Brid Bay, North Marine Drive, in Bridlington, the VERY BEST chippy is North Beach fish & chips - at the most northern end of North Marine promenade. They are cooked to order and always delicious; expect a LOOOOOOOOOONG queue at meal times.
We had a trek down there and was gutted that it was closed and it was our last day! We’ve such good things about it!

The VERY BEST fish and chips in Bridlington? The North Beach fisheries. Consistently delicious. Tip: if it's not a meal time or there's no queue, the quality will be poor.

@@MeatsAndCheats You're welcome. North Beach fisheries, North Marine Drive promenade, opens at 11.30am. Limited opening times general offer better quality food.
Also, malt vinegar is the best option. Cider vinegar can ruin the taste and cause bloating or indigestion. Finally, as your viewers may not be British, dip chips in mushy peas, pour mushy peas onto the plate and spread mushy peas on the batter/fish, occasionally. American vloggers treat mushy peas as a side, eating them with a fork. They seem unable to understand that mushy peas, gravy, curry sauce or baked beans are part of the meal.
The best is Gabbys on High Street in the Old Town part of Bridlington - only locals know about it. Ask for 'large cod' - maybe ring in advance though, in case busy.
Ahhh now we didn’t manage to get the time to hit up Old Town so we definitely need to go back. We fell a little bit in love with Bridlington whilst we were there so any excuse to go back is gonna be welcomed
Got to agree, I'm from York and always go either there, or Jacksons just up the road on Kirkgate - equally good.

Please don't ever call bridlington "bridders". Just don't please. Busy bees total shite go to the trawl, basic but great food, also make their own fish cakes and the staff are brilliant.
Laura, on behalf of M&C’s, I can only apologise for Leala’s major faux pas! Bridlington deserves much better! We loved our visit and during this taste test, we ran into a lot of issues with shops being closed but we have every intention to return as we fell in love with the town! Those fishcakes sound amazing! We LOVE getting recommendations from our viewers as we want to enjoy what YOU enjoy!

Harbour fisheries is the best we have been coming to brid for8 yrs as ex service persons and never tasted better roger from leicestershire.
That’s one mighty fine reason to speak so highly of Harbour Fisheries! We hope to come back to Whitby soon so we’ll have to get stuck into a tasty portion or two! What’s your go to order?
never goet your food in the harbour in Summer the seagulls will just take it from you without asking, how do i know i live there. The Bizzy bees have a few the one you were in we had to go there recently but was quite deer for the old ladies as no pensioner specails, the one at the top of the harbour is best and by the premier inn can get a small for £6.50

"tons of potato" in a piece of potato shocker. Take this review like my chips. With a pinch of salt.
😂 when you put it like that, it is pretty hilarious. I think what we were trying to convey is that some chips are so overcooked, it practically fries all of the potato out of the coating.
