I have to say, this line-up is getting better and better. I've seen them live earlier this year and they were magnificent. Sadly I didn't get to hear Yours Is No Disgrace or Siberian Khatru though.

They must have been poor before then

I have to say they aren’t. Slow tempos, sloppy playing, awful albums. I hope they disband very soon

@@ivc5150 Have you listened to this? Your ears may be working, but your hearing seems to be damaged. Their playing is phenomenal in this show, and on the others from this tour. But, I suppose that's the nature of trolling, just derision and negative opinions just to get attention.

@@johnmorrell I watch and listen and this collective band of musicians are just terrible. I’m not against there being a Yes band, just this bunch are not good. And I listen with clear ears, and not a pre conceived notion that everything they do is great.

@@ivc5150 Point taken. But I would ask you to listen to the classic Yes line up at Montreux, and you'll hear that they are playing way slower than here. This show is well on point. I realize time has taken its toll on the remaining members of Yes, but to be fair, this is a great show and Steve Howe for a man in his 70's is incredible. The argument about sloppy playing and slow tempos is just bogus. What do you mean by sloppy albums? Have you listened to the set list from this show? Drama, Going for the One, The Yes album, Close to the Edge? Fragile. Are they sloppy albums? Did you actually listen to this all the way through? I beg to differ with you, this is a powerful Yes set, and they are really starting to gel as a band after Alan and Chris's deaths. That's not something that comes overnight. I really would like you to specifically point out the 'slow tempos' and 'sloppy playing - not mistakes - which happen - but genuine sloppy playing and slow tempos during this show. I'm curious to know what you are actually hearing with your 'clear ears'. Siberian Khatru is played even faster than on Close to the edge here. YIND is exactly the same tempo as the album, as is Machine Messiah and Roundabout, and Starship Trooper. Going for the one and ISAGP are about 1 or 2 beats slower than the albums. Practically unnoticeable. Feel free to check by yourself.

To all the trolls, just listen to the audience reactions to how Yes - they are cheering their heads off during the songs and afterwards.

there are days when you wake up and listen to close to the edge from chord to chord...and there are days when something like this appears and cannot help but wonder wtf happened...why do bands have to part ways with key members and replace them with, in the case of vocalists, sound-alikes...
this is total bs...but, the truth is, it's no longer for the fans...part ego, part financial...

You have to replace like with like. Barry White was never going to be asked to join Yes. Jon Anderson is a rare breed of alto tenor with an unusual English accent. Jon Davidson is an exceptionally talented singer, and can even hit notes that JA struggled with live. GFTO is a good example. What do you really expect bands to do when one member decides they want to do something different? Should the whole structure just collapse because people leave or die? When it comes to financial, perhaps you should look into Jon Anderson demanding more money that anyone else in the band when they planned a tour. Perhaps the 'Yes left me' story ought to be 'Yes left me because I was acting like a self-centred Prima Donna'. (I'm not discounting his illness brought on by touring and breathing dry ice and smoke machines on stage) Listen carefully to this show. It is outstanding.
