    More episodes please. We have multiple Doosan machines in our shop and
    these make a great reference for our machinists. Your competitors
    (Haas, Mazak, etc.) do a greeat job of making videos available, you are
    missing an opportunity to build goodwill with your customers.

    These are great! Keep them coming! Thanks! Ironically, I made a video of how to do this just days before this posted. This is much better!

    Great video! I'd love to see a calibration for the lathe tool setter!

      We have been asked about doing this and it is on the top of the list for lathes. Thank for the suggestion!

    Need to make more videos like Haas does. Might also help to have someone in the videos that know what they are doing, the indicated tip was almost perpendicular to the probe.

      Maybe, or maybe some needs to get you some education on how to use an indicator* (and spell check). Perhaps maybe you can't see how he has the indicator on the stylus?

    Do you need to indicate the ring gauge to have the spindle exactly over the center of the ring before running the calibration routine?

    • @philtru
      @philtru Рік тому +1

      Not sure if you already figured this out but no. The machine will do it for you

    • @Itsdirtnaptime
      @Itsdirtnaptime 10 місяців тому +1

      I was taught to always indicate the ring. I started doing without,and didn't notice a difference. You don't have to indicate the ring.

    • @markchristopher5809
      @markchristopher5809 7 місяців тому +1

      The routines in the very first part of the calibration cycle figure out the center of the ring gauge and you have given it the diameter of the ring gauge in the calibration cycle page before you started, so there is no need to indicate it in. Good question though. I apologize for just now answering it, but hopefully this answer helps someone else down the road.

    why don't you cailbrate your probe to the machining table?

    • @Itsdirtnaptime
      @Itsdirtnaptime 10 місяців тому +1

      A little late to say this, but most probes don't reach the table. My probe stops about .625" above the table before the soft limit switch is triggered. (More for future readers who see this comment.)
