Hysterical! Seriously though, add a bagette and that would be enough for a family breakfast or lunch. I’d be very happy with that box. 😊
Oh yes, we made good use of it… sausage and mash for dinner, bacon sandwiches- delicious! Thanks for watching 🙂
(34) Bacon or sausage, lettuce and tomato baps. A good slop of mayo and "Bob's your uncle".
We went for sausage and mash for dinner, bacon sarnies used that up - delicious !!
That thumbnail confused me "Pork Markets" ? Sure its a lottery with these TGTG but surely they are extracting the urine with just bacon and bangers.. Glad you saw the funny side.
It was a bit funny just to get a box full of pork products, but we had a great dinner of bangers and mash, so all good !!
Now that's the kind of TGTG bag i'd love to receive Greeno... You could snack on a few of those Rashers of Bacon... And also a few of those Pork Sausages... And then take the rest of the box home... And put them in the fridge... Then later on... Grab a large frying pan... Half a Dozen Large Eggs... And a handful of Grated Cheese... Chop and dice the Bacon & Sausages in the box... Add a knob of Butter to the frying pan to melt... And crack open six Eggs and whisk them together in a bowl... Add in the chopped Bacon & Sausages... And pour the mixture into the hot frying pan to make a Meaty and Cheesy Omelette... And once it's almost cooked through... And ready to fold in half... Add on the Grated Cheese to melt slightly... Before folding the Omelette in half... And serving it on a plate piping hot. 😋👌
Sounds delicious, I'm coming to yours for dinner 😂
@@GreenoEats 😂👌👍
Hi Greeno 👋 really love ❤ those Mystery bags mate! 😅 Wow 👌 love ❤ the box you should of asked Gary around he loves his snags (sausages) they would be great with BBQ Sauce Greeno....I was 'weaned' on BBQ Sauce lol 😆 😋 😅
It was an unusual bag/box, with such little variety but we made good use of it!
Hi folks - hope you all had a good weekend (I did until around 9pm last night ha ha!)
I hope you enjoy the video - even if I did put Liz Truss on the thumbnail !!
Baron and sausages are always a nice treat ❤ Hope you are not very sad hat England has not won the euro 😢
@@jessicanippes1730 I was expecting us to lose, so it wasn't a surprise. We had already gotten much further into the tournament than our play deserved! And agreed on bacon and sausages - the humble pig always delivers great food !!
It’s not coming home Greeno…. Hey at least we somehow took it to the last game!
@@theabandonedhunter3604 We got much further than we deserved to Smithy! It's a shame though that we didn't play better with that squad. I saw a stat that said throughout the tournament we had a lower Xg than Croatia... And they were knocked out in the group stage!!
I have never laughed at to good to go bag until now that’s made my day 😂
As someone who loves sausages and bacon it made my day too !!
You could even make a kind of 'Meat 🍲 soup' especially with the bacon 🥓 ❤😂
Oh yes - even use the bacon for a "pea and ham" soup kind of thing
Bacon and sausage butties ooo a kings ransom with brown sauce.
Where sausage and bacon are concerned, brown sauce has to be first choice doesn't it !!
Not gonna lie Greeno, but the bacon looked like the pigs ears you get for dogs! 🤷
Ha ha - they were better than they looked - although I do like my bacon well cooked !
But tastes like bacon I'm sure !
Those sausages looked good chap….i love sausage sandwiches with hp sauce 👌👌😋😂😂
Sausages and brown sauce, it's a match made in heaven isn't it !
I always enjoy these bags . We dont have them here in NZ that i know of . . I love the surprise . .
You need a little " bag to go " action kit for different chalenges . . Containing bread butter sauce kife n fork . Towel . Ready for any bag . .lol .
Till the next time take care
Bye from NZ🍻👋🇳🇿twa
I should have delved into my "car sauce" ! I always collect the condiment sachets when we are at fast food places, and I keep them in the car to use when we are out and about!!
I once got a to good to go from Morrisons cafe, it was cold food and sandwiches, I received 7 cheese sandwiches, 9 bags of crisps and 42 gingerbread men I took them in to work, nothing went to waste. they are not always that random but usually very good. Unfortunately my Morrisons is closed for some repairs, hopefully it will open again soon.
I do love the randon TGTG bags - sometimes you just have to giggle at what you get!
if u were skint that would make a whole family a meal a few potatoes for mash and a bit of veg n gravy good meal there
That’s exactly what we did for dinner with the sausages 🙂(bacon went to bacon sarnies)
Do not worry about trawling the back catalogue to see whether you have been to Morrisons before for a TGTG; that is my job! 😝
OK, with the well known premise and idea behind TGTG, we should never be too surprised or disappointed. However, 14 sausages and 10 rashers of bacon but literally nothing else is taking the idea of "you get what you get" a bit too far. Even an egg or 2 would have made a world of difference. You basically had a pig in a box!
You mention the idea of giving some of the sausages to the Greeno daughters for their packed lunches and that is a very good idea, but if you also included some bacon and (as mentioned above) boil up some hard boiled eggs, then you have the most way there to a breakfast sandwich.
We had sausage and mash with onion gravy for dinner, and bacon sarnies the next day, so it all got put to good use! I did think it was an amusing TGTG experience though 😂
(BTW Gary, do you ever sleep ha ha 🙂)
Yes acouple of family meals for 2.50 thatsgreat
Absolutely, we made some mash, peas and gravy - that took care of the sausages! Bacon sarnies too, perfect!
Top video Greeno, that’s a bargain! My local Morrisons is a small Supermarket unfortunately so wouldn’t get anything like this. Done well there Sir… All the best …..Smithy
@@theabandonedhunter3604 Cheers Smithy... Yep, bangers and mash, bacon sarnies, we certainly did alright with our £2.50 bag!!
That box was 5 very generous sausage and bacon barms , sorry you're darn sarf...I meant rolls 🤣
Even with the cost of the seeded buns you'd be looking at less than £1 for a brecky barm 👍
Barm, roll, bap, bread cake, I'm easy, call it what you like :-) But yeah, you're right, could have made some cracking breakfast baps, espescially if I'd picked up some eggs in store too !
what time of day do they come out for sale
It varies from store to store, region to region. If you download the "Too Good to Go" app then it will show you what is available in your local area, and when.
The sausages would be great on a toasted bun with a scrambled egg and melted cheese. Great deal.
We had sausage, mash and onion gravy for dinner - yummy !
@@GreenoEats Well done!
You lucked out on that buy mate.
I think it was a good result, although a little lacking in variety! Sausage and mash for dinner, bacon sarnies the next day - yum !!
That's like a piglet worth of bacon and bangers haha brilliant!
With the delicious sausage and mash plus bacon sarnies we had, the piglet did not die in vain!!
My best TGTG from Morrisons Cafe was 2 cooked pies, a stash of bacon, several sausages and a pot each of baked eans and mushy peas, mushrooms. For £2.49 it was a veritable treasure trove of goodness.
Can you remember where you got your car tray Greeno?
That sounds like a really good haul you got there, fry up and pie & peas, brilliant!
The steering wheel tray I got off Amazon, was only about a tenner!!
Morrisons sausage are beautiful, good vid thanks greeno
Definitely a step up from what you'd expect ! Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
I think this idea came about in the great virus
..it's lived it's life.. time to let go..😅
I still think the idea is solid, saves in waste, the company makes a little bit of cash and the consumer should get a decent deal. Doesn’t always work that way of course!
oh yes jack pot for 2 50
Absolute bargain... sausages went with mashand onion gravy - bacon into sarnies - spot on !!
I hope thats a family meal. If not it's a "heart attack" special 😅
We had bangers and mash for dinner, and bacon butties the following day 🙂
Nice sausage sandwich !!! 😅
We had sausage and mash, and bacon sandwiches!
its has good number but not that you have to like over cooked bacon you have 2 packs of bacon and one 15 sausage bag
why do you have sausage when I am eating a sausage in a bun at the time.
6 bacon is £1.45 a pack now all you need is forks and knives and sauces etc in a travel food bag
I always have spare sauces in the car that I have picked up from fast food places - my "car sauce" as I like to call it. And since filming this have now put some camping cutlery in the glove box. With the new steering wheel tray table I am prepared for anything!
8 of 10 and looks tasty and value for money.
Definitely good value, if somewhat lacking in variety!
My mother in law's local Morrisons, cheers!
Is that so? It's a pretty good one I reckon - butchers counter, fresh pizzas, salad bar and hot food counter as well as the cafe.
You could have put a hot sausage on your ploughman's
Mow why didn't I think of that :-)
A bit of colemans mustard ,ketchup and onions greeno and ya good have a scrumptious hot dog 😋, thought pickford was great in the final and gave a respectable scoreline in the final and kept England in the game up to the 86th minute, not sure if he gets enough praise ,the players kept passing it back to him while he was trying to will the players forward Spain class though
Oh yeah, hot dog would have been good, we went with bangers and mash. As for England, we got further than we deserved to in the tournament. It’s strange getting to a final, and yet not thinking too many of the players had a good tournament. Pickford did well in my opinion, although I was surprised to see him dive wrong way for Spain’s winner, I think if he’d been braver and dived at the feet of the attacker he could have stopped it!
@GreenoEats yup possibly could have been better for sure greeno ,bangers n mash 😋 had it last week in my local washed down with a pint of ale 🍺
Pizza Express are opening their first Pizza Express 'pod' concept in Tescos, Bursledon, Southampton in the coming months.
If you're ever nearby.
Pleased you have found the steering wheel tray helpful.
Pizza Express pod? Does this mean that you can get a hot pizza in the supermarket? Was it yourself who suggested the steering wheel tray, apologies, I was scrolling through to find the original comment but couldn’t find it. It’s a pretty cool thing, so thank for the tip!
@@GreenoEats I think it will be hot Pizza Express. Maybe good for the yt algorithm with them being the first....and rolling out more.
Yes it was me! hope it helps the channel.
@@nigel8499 yeah, it would be good to get there and try it. Can't find any details about opening dates as yet - let me know if you hear anything !!
That would be heaven for me lol
Initially I thought it was kind of funny to get so much with so little variety. But as we all had sausage and mash, and bacon sarnies I came to think it was a really good one to get 🙂
Plenty of protein in that meal!
@@Ste yes, although also plenty of saturated fats and salt too... Still, that makes it balanced doesn't it?? 🤣
That looked great to me !
If you like sausages and bacon then it's a winner !
Amazing Value at £2.50.
100% !!
Well done Greeno. True you can add Baps and some Greenos and some brown sauces to make wonderful snacks for at least 10.
Yep, we used the bacon for sarnies, the sausages went to bangers and mash with peas and onion gravy - simple yet delicious (and cheap!!)
Meat feast!
Wasn’t it just!
And we relive the past again. Galent but unlucky England ect ect ect😢 But, what a banging box you got. Almost a family breakfast. And all for under £3.00👏🤗👌Morrisons didn't have much of the London trade until 00's then they brought Safeway Supermarket's And now I've got a very large store about 15minutes drive away. Do like to snack out in the restaurant & my lad loved " going posh " for a lunchtime treat🍴😊😋( be fair, he was only 8yrs old 🤗 16yrs ago🤔) Like the stearing wheel tray, should be standard equipment for the trade🤔See thee in the next video Allan&Family
I think England got further than they deserved to in the tournament, but to be fair getting to the final however you did it is an achievement! The steering wheel tray is pretty good isn't it, a tenner from Amazon, bargain!!
Wow !!
Certainly good value :-)
That is so good! 14 sausages 😛 After some really disappointing/poor value TGTG offers, this restores my faith. The bacon's a bonus. What can I say? Oh yes - 14 sausages!!!
What it lacked in variety it more than made up for in value didn't it!
Bloody lovely
Just needed a couple of fried eggs, some beans and a fried slice and I'd have been set!!
You can feed the family with sandwiches for 2.50. That is absolutely brilliant. If you brought all that, it would cost well over a tenner. Brilliant, well done. Great video.
We made some mash, peas and onion gravy, plus used the bacon for sarnies. Probably spent another £2.50 on that, so 2 good meals for a fiver in total, bargain!!
Haha not watched yet but going by thumbnail it’s full of rotten lettuce ?
I like the way you think!
Excellent value there. Here's a tip from a former meat eater. Reheating pork is a difficult business, but provided it is recently cooked you can take leftover bacon, pop it in a deep frying pan and reheat for a few minutes in shallow water, perhaps with some pepper and some good mustard. Then use some good quality gravy granules to thicken the water and use the bacon as the meat for a "cooked dinner" with vegetables, spuds and the like. The bacon moistens and softens, and the resultant gravy is excellent. Obviously season the vegetables carefully as the bacon contains salt but the vegetable water is of course good to use in the bacon/gravy concoction. As for the sausages, so long as they are recently cooked, a quick zap in the "meicrodon" (not the "popty-ping" lol) will obviously do the job.
I’ve never thought of using bacon as a meat to have with a cooked dinner, but I guess it’s no different to having gammon really!
Sausage and bacon. Perfectly balanced meal. Call me Mr Cynical ( and these Magic boxes didn't exist when I left the UK.) I wonder if the food has one day left on sell by date so places cook them up, discount and avoid throwing the grub away😉
It's quite possible that's part of the policy.
I have to say that at first glance I thought the sausage and bacon one was a bit boring, lack of variety. But one sausage and mash dinner and some bacon sarnies later I was more than happy!!
@@GreenoEats So many cooked sausages. Toad in the hole beckons as the preliminary sausage browning is done. Mind you, sausage sarnie is a total winner😘
I know you only had two choices there but very good value. Saved cooking it yourself to.
Yep, just knocked up some mash, peas and gravy and dinner was sorted!!
Well worth it. 👍
A little lacking in variety, but great value nonetheless! Sausage and mash with onion gravy, bacon sarnies the next day, delicious !!
@@GreenoEats I have just eaten a wild caught Lemon sole that was a Sainsbury's yellow sticker. Should have been £3.60 but was £1.49. Had it with parsley butter and new potatoes, roasted tomatoes and tender stem broccoli. It was delicious but there wasn't much flesh. Took me ages to shred off tiny amounts and had to be careful with the bones. I think we forget about the bones because usually everything is pre prepared. That tray is really useful isn't it? I am going to have to do a Morrison shop. About 40 minutes drive from me.🙏🏼👍
@@denisemottley22705 yep, we are used to everything being filleted for us, although lemon sole fillets would be pretty tiny wouldn't they! Sounds a good dinner though! The tray table attaching to the steering wheel is good isn't it, a handy invention for lorry or van drivers, travelling salesmen etc.
Hmmm, bacon 😊😊😊😊
Ha ha - that's a very Homer Simpson response!!
@@GreenoEats well, bacon worth it to become Homer Simpson sometimes 😁😁
@@jessicanippes1730 100% !!
@@jessicanippes1730😂 love that! 100% Jessica! Hope your well.
I am fine, thanks, how are you?@@theabandonedhunter3604
That could have fed a family of four with sides. Great value🇨🇦
Absolutely. We has the sausages with mashed potato, garden peas and gravy, declicious. And bacon sandwiches... simple food, but tasty !
That looks good. You could always freeze the items. xx
Sausage and mash for dinner and bacon sandwiches took care of it !!
I would have loved to have had that bag, brilliant!
@@The-KimP yep, wasn't the most exciting looking, but once we had bangers and mash along with bacon sarnies it was definitely a winner!!
