I've been in this business for 40 years, and this is hands down some of the best work I've ever seen. The dude's just a hard worker That's really what it amounts to.
Man I sure wish some companies would reach out to you and get you a proper paint booth... you deserve it man... you definitely go out of your way to get a quality job done.. enjoy your videos, keep up the great work man... 👍
He's proved he doesn't need 1 lol...look at the work hes doin without 1 now,im sure he'd ACCEPT a free one though.😤 Prolly the last of his worries,it's not stopping the $$$$$$ from comin in.
I wasn't saying it to be a smart ass, anyone knows a paint booth would result in less trash in the paint, = less cutting and buffing = quicker turn around = mo money 💰 🤑 💸
You don’t need a paint booth. As long as you can control over spray , you can get a show car finish . His setup is better than a lot of spray booths shops are using.
Won't lie first thing got my attention on your channel is the step by step narrations as you work, letting use keep up with the process 💯 great teaching skills
This channel deserves more attention 🙏🏾 I love the details you put into it, the extra time to get it just right!most painters I went thru just want their money so you have to keep pointing out their flaws when in reality a painter sees the flaws more than the average eye does!! The way your cars come out from a backyard paint job is incredible G 👍🏾👌🏾
I like how when you do the doors and door jambs you take everything off and do it wright the first time shows how skilled and professional you are and show how much you care and the love you put into your work most shops do that same saying looks good from my house they know it wrong but the customers doesn't that's what separates you from those kind of shops as you show toooo much love for what you do in your work skillz and you kill it each time my friend
Been watching Marvin for many many years, before anyone was making you tube videos for painting he was one of the first one or even the first to show how to paint properly . He’s the real deal!
Man, Im a full fan. I have come across a lot of painters but you put in work. I appreciate the fact that you showing people how to do it. That is the best thing about this.
I've been watching your videos for a while now, it started out to learn speaker door pods. And I usually watch on my TV...so leaving a comment is not often in the flow...but after watching this entire Chevy Truck build...I had to grab my phone, look up what I just watched...and leave this comment. Cause brother you are the truth. You do amazing work...and your videos flow really really well. Bravo to you, for real. Watching this was like just watching good television...only better. Like better than the crap I could be watching for entertainment. So thank you...and keep doing what you do. I look forward to watching your channel grow and grow. Soon you'll be doing work for all kinds of celebrities, and crazy sponsorships! Can't wait to watch you get rich! 😁 And by watching and learning the spray way...I plan to do my own speaker door pods on my 2011 Buick Lucerne. I don't do the things I used to do anymore either. God bless. -Anthony.

People comment on all the work, but all the work plus making and editing videos? Incredible! I'm an at home car painter, and have been very impressed by your work ethic, and talent. I'm chicken to try 3 stage candy paint....A friend wants me to do it but I'm afraid to goof up....
Finally we get see the artist himself on camera! It says a lot when a UA-cam sub from another state has his truck customized by SprayWayCustoms. And he brought his own supplies with extras for the shop. You do beautiful work. Watching from Nova Scotia!

SprayWay made this young man's dreams come true. He probably never thought his truck would look that good. Bodywork is everything, and you see clearly that a "real" paint man is a body man too. You always do your thang, Spray. The best thing about your work above everything is tour Integrity. You sint cutting corners or slipping mickeys, it just is what it is. Always watching tge content, learned things, and was showed things. Much respect and MUCH LOVE from the home team. BAMA BOYZ DO IT BETTER💪💪💪 which way? SPRAYWAY ALL DAY!!!
Sprayway, I know I say it often but brother, you are a man with a passion, so thankful to have found your channel. I also wanted to tell you that my friend was complaining about the cost of a high quality spray on his restored 70 Torino, and he said he might just attempt it by himself. I sent him a few of your vids and a few days later he said he wasn't going to try to paint the car. I told him I sent your vids to inspire him and he said you did inspire him... to let a professional paint his car. 😂 he said you are one of the most patient men he's seen, sanding, masking, he tapped out. Anyway, stay safe brother and thank you for the knowledge.
1st time watching and all I can say is IMPRESSIVE! Man your attention to detail, treating this truck as if was your own sold me. Keep doing what you do! Love your craftsmanship

SPRAYWAY#1FAN
Awesome work bro. Ion watch no more paint and body work on You tube since I saw Sprayway Customs work.
I appreciate that
Absolutely STUNNING work. I have learned so much.
I only work with Rattle can, it gets a bad wrap but my work has turned out very well and it lasts well over 15 years with no problems from the Rustoleum paints.
Chasing the wet edge, I learned on my own. but there are so many techniques to applying spray paint and the method used to apply that paint changes the way you do it. Big difference between using a paint gun vs Rattle can. I eagerly watch your vids as well as others to pick up more tips.
Never tried using a roller to apply paint yet, but may try on a RV roof where the roof is actually a body panel and paint. Even though I have seen the results be very good, it is comforting that it would not be seen normally by anyone.
I did have a learning experience when, as you say, the paint will "bridge" over onto the masking tape, and IT WILL take some of your paint finish with it if you allow it to dry before unmasking.
It can be a problem trying to pull the paper/plastic while the paint is still wet/curing so I came up with a less troublesome way.
in order to get the paper/plastic up faster, I run the tape along the edge of the paper/plastic, leaving about 1/4 inch of the sticky tape exposed to attach to the area being protected. I place the edge of that tape about 1/4 inch from the edge were the new paint will stop. I then run a strip of tape along the paint edge and on top of the masking tape in place.
Doing this, gives you a fast way to get the tape off, and not risk all that paper or plastic to come in contact with any wet/curing paint. It had made the tape removal so so much easier and faster when minutes count.
Maybe that could be a helpful method for you.
Great video as usual. Really enjoy the tips you offer.
Spray Way is the man impressive every time!
Great results from the shop you're working with! You've got mad skills laying that paint down! Slick!!
Looks good! Spot welding the top portion of those weld on roll pans really firm them up and help prevent any failures, would recommend seam sealing the top edge as well.
