Hello there, ever since I did the Diary of Jane video (which in my opinion is my best video until today) I've been wanting to use another Breaking Benjamin song. It took me a while to gather the courage to take on another one of those extremely difficult songs, but I think the end result is magnificent. I really hope I was able to live up to the expectations people had when they clicked on this video because I spent a LOT of time on this.
The song is dark, gritty and emotional at the same time which perfectly describes Officer Friendly's personality throughout The Walking Dead. He's a man caught in a world filled with psychopaths and he has to decide how much of himself he allows to let go to survive. The more he lets go of his humanity, the more he becomes like the villains. In this video I tried to showcase that by not solely making him 'the devil', but him as well as negan and the governor and smaller villains. I wanted to end on a good note though and nothing fits that better than Rick sparing Negan for Carl's dying wish.
In this video I expiremented a bit, I tried out a darker colouring (let's hope UA-cam doesn't mess it up again). I added little black bars, not only does it give an extra feeling to the edit, it mainly functions as a place for me to put the subtitles. Which brings me to the biggest expirement that I tried on this video: subtitles. Do you like them, do you hate them? I thought they were pretty clever here, considering the music is loud and people do tend the mumble from time to time. You can just ignore the subtitles of course, since it's mostly Rick talking and he speaks pretty clearly most of the time, but I thought it would be interesting to add the subtitles.

For some reason he was hesitant on being that alpha, cold hearted killer badass at times. when negan showed him that recording of his old self it's like he lost that version of him for the worse
Yea man. My favorite rick is from season five. He was so badass, crazy, with beard. I miss angry rick from season 4 and 5.
And I hate rick from season 7.

That was one epic video man, very fast and intense, love the cuts and the parallels you've used and especially the coloring! It was something new and pretty cool, it was pretty dark and it did fit the video a lot! Amazing video man!
Thanks, Tizzy! I didn't want to go the usual colouring because that was too happy but I didn't want it to be as dark as Paint It Black so I searched for a middle way and came up with this. I'm really glad to hear you liked it!

You always surprise me with the songs you use, and you always make it work. I loved the Negan in the mirror part. Also the subs, when you first mentioned you were gonna use them, I was a bit iffy on how it would turn out. Putting them in the black bars was a great idea and honestly made it better. Fantastic job as always my man.
