I mean if it takes a superhuman charge of power to allow you the strength to lift a car to save a loved one then maybe..?
I believe your jaw has to strength to bite through solid rock, however your brain chooses not to do so, because it would destroy your teeth. Someone's throat is just a piece of raw flesh, so I'd imagine in a situation like that where you're full of adrenaline you'd be able to bite someone's throat out with relative ease.

How THIS shows the type of person Rick is and what he's become to fight for a purpose, for his family and his story.
