and that is very true and you know what thats actually how it is in the real world im gonna quote gareth here , your either the butcher or your the cattle and i love that line !!
Shane is the most underrated character in that show.He was so much in front of the others when it came to surviving. He got adapted to the new situation of the world way faster than any other one did. When u see Rick now u will see that he became like shane a lot.He understood that you are not safe anymore and that u cant trust anyone.Kill or get killed
otcubaba Ye this is definetly what I was thinking off last season. Now that I had time I watched season 1 and season 2 again and maaaaaan, I never realized how ahead of the others Shane actually was. When you watch season 2 you feel like he does the right decisions but you still think as human being about a human being. Now that it is season 5 you can see Ricks feelings in Alexandria safe zone where he lost his leadership and reactions to that, same happened to Shane, he used to be leader, make decisions that saved lives and when Rick came back he lost his crown.
Just imagine if Shane season 2 and Rick season 5 together. The show's gonna purely kick ass. They would back up each other's back and take over Alexandria for themselves. No way an enemy can destroy or take down the force of Rick and Shane when they're on the same page. If bitch Lori never existed, then the show would've been better and it focused more on Rick and Shane. More like 2 best friends kicking zombies' asses
+otcubaba Please. Shane Tried to kill his own group. He Was a murderer when it wasn't nessesary. Rick went a bit too far, but it was to protect his loved ones. Shane just Killed his best friend. Or tried to. Randall wasn't a murderer. He didn't deserve to die. You could see it in his eyes when he pleaded to Rick and Shane.
otcubaba Shane was truly a good man but the Apocalypse took advantage he lost his mind job family best friend when he sees Rick he knows Rick wants his baby boy and woman back Shane tries to stop it by raping Lori Lori tells Rick and Rick "handles" it by Beating each other Shane freaks out killing Randall Rick finds out Shane points a gun at him Rick stabs him Shane fires the Apocalypse took advantage of both of them
I dunno what y'all are saying but Shane till this date remains as one of the toughest survivors in the series. I hate people who disliked him for that Lori affair and shooting Otis. It was Lori to be blamed not Shane. Without him, Rick and his family would've died. He's a fully complex character. Has everything what it takes to survive the apocalypse. If the directors hadn't killed him off, the show would've been more badass if they were to front him along with Rick and Daryl. The 3 of them would dominate the zombie apocalypse as long as there's no Lori.
+Reymond Samie Well, shane would have gotten killed by the governor if he was alive and decided to take the hostile approach. But if he decided to side with the governor, well guess nothing could stop that train.
season 2 episode 8 (when this song also featured, at the end i might add) was without doubt one of the best episodes of the walking dead. Rick finally sorted his shit, the air was clear and goddamn jon bernthal is a terrific actor he nailed it and the last scene was just epic, with him in that car staring at the lonely wandering zombie and civilian playing. pure class,
WhateverDevatron oh absolutely , out of all characters they ever had Shane was the one they dropped the ball with most , should have had him leave in season 2 and return as one of Negans men , like can you imagine that ? Not seeing him for 5 years and than he's standing beside negan , Jon was far too talented of an actor to let go
About36GREEKS he actually said he was glad he was killed off the walking dead so he could do other things. but I doubt he would have just left Lori and carl especially knowing Lori's pregnant I think Shane would also have reacted the same way as rick did to negan.. I think that's why rick mentioned Shane last week because he wants to keep everyone alive. which is wat Shane said in 18 miles out to rick.. n rick said "no were just lost'
WhateverDevatron yeah cuz frank darbront or whatever his name is wanted jon bernthal and dale for his own show that was about the maffia and it got cancelled after 1 season 😂😂😂😂😂😂, so shane would been on the show for longer maybe even alive 😫😫😫
Shane was a realist. He knew what it took to get the job done without having emotions getting in the way. Rick has been controlled too much by his emotions and it has cost the group several times. If shane were alive during a meeting with the governor and ricks group, shane would have put a bullet in his head and ended it instead of trying to make peace and coexist, which we all know didn't work out.
Dinkelbrot in the end shane wanted rick to kill him because he knew he was messed up also Shane could of killed rick anytime opportunity he had but he didn’t also Lori is the one to blame she was literally messing up him Shane wanted to leave back in season 2 but Lori didn’t want him to leave the group like you say to him stay away from me and Carl but you want him to stay on the group like make up your mind Lori in my opinion is the worst character ever in the series show+comic version
I absolutely hated Shane during season 2, but after witnessing all the shit our survivors have been through and now Negan in the picture, I see that Shane wasn't wrong at all, maybe a little crazy over Lori but still Shane season 2 was Rick Season 5.
+LeahTbH Ikr it's funny how people say Shane was a monster when he was not the problem was that Shane was just ahead od his time and knew what they would have to do to survive while everyone else was not ready to do what was needed.

Then, upon rewatch, like many others, I realized that he knew the reality of the apocalypse and the sacrifices that needed to be made to keep his loved ones alive. Also upon rewatch, I realized just how toxic and destructive Lori was to Shane. What once was a good man who would have done anything for Lori and Carl (and Rick) was turned into a violent, dangerous person who ended up having to be killed by his one-time best friend, all because of Lori’s manipulative and mentally abusive behavior. He was also put into one of the worst situations imaginable when he was forced to kill Otis in order to save Carl’s life. Overall, Shane is the best character ever on The Walking Dead because of his willingness to do whatever it took to keep the people he loved safe, even if it made him look crazy to the other characters.
Likeabawzz, Merle was caught in a trap, we're talking realistically in a first meeting type scenario. Shane had the balls to just whip out a .22 and blow the governor away.
Wow if you think about it this song sounds like it's based off of shane and his struggle to survive in a zombie apocalypse who was alone mentally because not many people liked his decisions
Shane was easily the best character on The Walking Dead. They knew what they were doing with him and Jon Bernthal brought him to life like I wouldn't have imagined. I'm a pretty hardcore fan of the comics, but I could have forgiven them for keeping him alive in the show. Hell, it would have made up for them killing Andrea.
See that's what I'm saying ! It's not like john berthal is in the comics ! He's an amazing actor so why not keep him around ? They should have let shane go off on his own , than come and save the groups ass in season 4 or 5
The most realistic, human and best written character in the show. Season 2 was the peak of the show, less characters but well written with depth, not many events but still well written and executed.
You’re speaking facts! When people dogged season two as “slow” I would get so irritated because it had such good story telling. People wanted guns blasting and zombie heads popping… they couldn’t appreciate the great story.
Does anybody else almost literally cry when watching this? I am a dude first off :P It's insane how his character was so good at heart, and the way he always pretended he got over killing Otis but he NEVER did. Was so fucking emotional that it slowly broke him down piece by piece and showed he wasn't a ruthless killer. he was a cop pretending to be fine with the world and attuned when in reality Killing otis was eventually his turn into insanity and ultimately, death.. R.I.P Shane Walsh..
Shane did nothing wrong at all. He did check on Rick in the hospital "not to mention he was only one to do so" and he heard no heart beat. Lori was the one that fucked him over. vincent duchesne Shane hated daryl and Merle, he thought they were a hazard to the group. Shane and Merle would bat heads every chance they had and one would end up killing the other. I do think shane would like the newish daryl.
But I mean if they made it to season 3 and worked everything out. Shane could have gone with Merle on his suicide run and finished all the governors men off
This is awesome. Showing what may have gone on in his head in all of his quiet thinking. I personally think Lori having her last talk with him pushed him to actually go through with trying kill Rick, ultimately leading to Shames death.
back when walking dead was so damn good, so many different characters with great stories and development arcs, when atmosphere had that sublime feeling of desperation with barely any hope... so sad this show fell on its face so hard, almost a caricature of its former self, so so sad
i’m currently rewatching the second season and this video just popped right in time. i miss so so so much the first time i watched the walking dead back to 2014. that is pretty uncommon but shane is, in fact, my favorite character. even tho he did a lot of bad things and made the wrong choices, he’s the most interesting and seeing his downfall in every episode leading to his death is utterly fascinating. he left a hole in the show for me that it’s unmatched until today. same goes to rick, their relationship and the beautifully strong bond they had.
This is brilliant. It's cut so well and the emotion... wow, it really gets to you. You did a fantastic job man, you really know how to get those heart strings pulled.
Damn good video...great tribute to a really great character. So wished he'd have latched onto Andrea, gotten over Lori, and was still around today. He'd have been awesome in the war against the Governor... RIP, Shane!
crazy how much shane had a impact on rick even many seasons after his death. Even sitting in the car when he was dreaming of them knowing rick had to become what shane was already and that he was right all along smh rip shane walsh.
when i first started watching the walking dead Shane was my favorite character made season 2 the most interesting one out of all the seasons even up until now. wish he didn't have to die.
+GHOSTRIDER4991 DAMMIT Please. Shane Tried to kill his own group. He Was a murderer when it wasn't nessesary. Rick went a bit too far, but it was to protect his loved ones. Totally agree! Would be cool if he say like 'Carl.... Shane was right all along'. But even if he will never say it, Andrew Lincoln said in an interview that Rick is always thinking about Shane (as evidenced in season 4 episode 9 ) and that he questions himself what would Shane do if he would face this or that kind of situation.
I loved what they did to shane, in the comics he was just a plot device to develop characters like rick, lori and carl, in the show he is a plot devise but he is his own character too.
Rick im starting to like more. But Shane will always be my favorite character and then Morgan and then Merle. Abraham will be a great character down the line if they follow his story from the comic book.
Shane was a good character and all, because he protected Lori and Carl. But he still killed Odis and tried to kill Rick for Lori, because he was driving insane. He was a good survivor, but went a bit far with the killing.
Pure nostalgia. no other show made me feel so immersed into the world up to the point where they introduced negan and let carl die. It rly lost it's spirit and deep episodes over time. Shane is still my fav Character and the lonely Walker in the field Episode is still the most memorable Episode beside the Beth an daryl mountain goats episode for me in the entire show. this Song at the end of the Episode just punched me Off the rails and Made me get tears in the eyes bc i knew it was something special.
We all knew Shane wouldn't of made it without Lori and the baby being his. He wanted what he couldn't have and ever since he lost Lori, he went insane. It's a shame, I feel that Shane could have potentially been a really good character if he didn't become obsessed with Lori. Oh, and loved the video. Amazing song choice and editing
I totally agree. I can easily say that Shane is my favorite character and will always be, because his character epitomizes what happens to a person's mental state when faced with these kinds of pressures. I love the fact that over the course of the 2nd season they truly captured the gradual decaying of his sanity. He is the utmost perfect example of a good character turned bad, and that is why his story is the best. And yes, I did cry :')
for me I love how it looks like when Shane is in the barn with Randall it looks like he is thinking about all of his choices and what has happened to him during the apocalypse when he is pointing his gun at Rick like he just came up with a plan to kill Rick and then hits himself like he wants to get the thought of killing Rick out of his head
Shane, o louco mais sabio de toda a série, após sua saida, a série não foi mais a mesma, eu gosto do Rick, mas o Shane sempre foi diferenciado, na série ele fazia o certo, mas da maneira errada! Rip Shane!🖤
NEVER gets OLD! LOVE the song and of course The Walking Dead (and Shane) goes without saying. I didn't hate Shane like you said most people did- You can't hate someone who is so pitifully lost and alone- LOL
Yes this video is very amazing..I actually teared up a little. Shane has been my favorite character from day one..I am not sure why...he just makes have feel what he is going through...Jon Bernthal is an AmAzInG actor.. he made Shane the best character on the Show...now I feel like the show is incomplete or missing without him...I miss Shane so much.
I loved shane as a character, like he was a great guy, but he did what he had to do to survive, but he wasn't as strong willed as rick, and just lost it, he was so complex, from wanting to keep lori, to wanting to keep his best friend. He just lost his mind.
If they had a chance to redo the shane story line, I'd make it to where he takes Randal into the woods and kills him. And then runs off. Like he said he was going to do in the beginning of season 2. He shows back up in mid season 3 saving Andrea from like merle or whoever. Finds out Lori is dead and tries to kill Rick, the group breaks up the fight. When Rick goes to have the conversation with the governor shane sneaks in with a silenced pistol and pops the the governor instantly. That means they would be able to stay at the prison and live happily ever after unless termites wanna carry their ass up to the prison and get shot t f up. A stronger flu then forces them to leave the south thus they find Alexandria up in Virginia along with Abe, Eugene and rosita. Rick and Shane end up co leading The Alexandria Safezone by then end of season 5... To be continued....
That would have fucked up the storyline really.. Even though Shane was dangerous, he wouldn't have been able to take out The Governor. Remember, The Governor had guards like Caesar Martinez and Shumpert who would have helped him fight off Shane. And killing the governor that early would have fucked up the show, even though I hate The Gov for killing many characters I liked, he made the story more exciting.
The Governor along with Martinez and Shumpert wouldn't have had the chance against Shane if he was still alive. Him, Rick and Daryl would wipe Woodbury straight to hell
Agreed there.. The Gov is one of the top villains in the series and they've made the show incredibly fantastic. Would be nice if Shane had at least made it to season 3 and competed against Woodbury. Maybe the part where Merle ambushed the Woodbury army all by himself should be Shane's part in which Merle makes it to season 4. It'd be cool to see the Dixon brothers in one team in Rick's group at the prison for a while
she is lol, remember when rick went insane in season 3, he picked judith up and looked strangely on judith he was like fuck this is shanes kid, im gona rewatch the whole god damn show now

Those first two seasons hold such a special place in my heart.
I love this music and Shane 😭
from yesterday to today. i've missed you so much, shane
This is awesome. Showing what may have gone on in his head in all of his quiet thinking. I personally think Lori having her last talk with him pushed him to actually go through with trying kill Rick, ultimately leading to Shames death.
Shames 🔥
back when walking dead was so damn good, so many different characters with great stories and development arcs, when atmosphere had that sublime feeling of desperation with barely any hope...
so sad this show fell on its face so hard, almost a caricature of its former self, so so sad
i’m currently rewatching the second season and this video just popped right in time. i miss so so so much the first time i watched the walking dead back to 2014. that is pretty uncommon but shane is, in fact, my favorite character. even tho he did a lot of bad things and made the wrong choices, he’s the most interesting and seeing his downfall in every episode leading to his death is utterly fascinating. he left a hole in the show for me that it’s unmatched until today. same goes to rick, their relationship and the beautifully strong bond they had.
I agree
This is brilliant. It's cut so well and the emotion... wow, it really gets to you. You did a fantastic job man, you really know how to get those heart strings pulled.
Can you image Shane in season 7? I think he would kill Negan very fast!
Damn good video...great tribute to a really great character.
So wished he'd have latched onto Andrea, gotten over Lori, and was still around today.
He'd have been awesome in the war against the Governor...
RIP, Shane!
Hell yeah he would've fucked the governor up!
Shane was my favorite out of all 10 seasons
This is the best civilian video for the walking dead by a mile good job!
Yes it is! It looks like the creators made a tribute to him. :)
TheAngrySquad Sure does :)
Shane was perfectly inside the problem he knew what to do and how to do.
the best shane video out there! and shane is my favourite character, i always rewatch this one
Shane was way ahead his time, when everyone keeps ponder around with the new world, shane absorbed it quickly, adapting, improvising and overcome
shane isint a bad person hes just a misunderstood man trying to survive.
crazy how much shane had a impact on rick even many seasons after his death. Even sitting in the car when he was dreaming of them knowing rick had to become what shane was already and that he was right all along smh rip shane walsh.
The song is paced perfectly with the scenes! Love it! 👏
This is a great edit and putting clips together. First time I heard civilian I was hooked on that song.
when i first started watching the walking dead Shane was my favorite character made season 2 the most interesting one out of all the seasons even up until now. wish he didn't have to die.
same it started off kind of iffy for me but his character got me hooked .
Do you realize that you responded to yourself
we miss you, Shane!
I fucking want Rick to say Shane was right in the current season about what needed to be done...
GHOSTRIDER4991 Season 4 and 5. In season 3 he still took chances with the Governor he should have killed him during that meeting. (Arrow in Doorpost)
+GHOSTRIDER4991 DAMMIT Please. Shane Tried to kill his own group. He Was a murderer when it wasn't nessesary. Rick went a bit too far, but it was to protect his loved ones. Shane just Killed his best friend. Or tried to. Randall wasn't a murderer. He didn't deserve to die. You could see it in his eyes when he pleaded to Rick and Shane.
Shane was better than the Governor
Zach Ferguson yes he was but he was a dickhead like me
Shane was better than Rick
No.
A c u a r i o X agree
Governor was an asshole
One of the best edits ever.
Amazing.
Shane is the one who got his character development at the first season he is a true badas
Shane, el mejor personaje de la serie 😍
I loved what they did to shane, in the comics he was just a plot device to develop characters like rick, lori and carl, in the show he is a plot devise but he is his own character too.
This show just went really downhill for me after season 2 since Shane is gone
keep your eye on this gareth guy hes really good !!
rated21hbbhh lol...if only you knew what you know now :P
Shane was the best character hands down
Tripleplusonegamers indeed hes gone already well either way im starting to like abraham i like him and rick is becoming a boss now !!
Rick im starting to like more. But Shane will always be my favorite character and then Morgan and then Merle. Abraham will be a great character down the line if they follow his story from the comic book.
One of my favourite characters. Amazing video, gives me goosebumps
Best video/tribute on youtube for me..
Thank you there aren't many shane tribute videos showing shane staring at the lone walker in the field... Love that scene!!!
Shane was a good character and all, because he protected Lori and Carl. But he still killed Odis and tried to kill Rick for Lori, because he was driving insane. He was a good survivor, but went a bit far with the killing.
This video was the best you put it together amazingly! Shane was my favoriteee
Shane Walsh should be back in tales of the walking dead.....he is the greatest Legend of TWD!!!!!!
Agreed.
I miss Shane v.v Love this video though, you did great job of making it! :)
Yeah man I agree with what you said Lori cost him and Ricks bad decisions also drove him gradually into insanity
+Look its digdew Agreed.
Shane's whole.storyline is based on what's to come
for me I love how it looks like when Shane is in the barn with Randall it looks like he is thinking about all of his choices and what has happened to him during the apocalypse when he is pointing his gun at Rick like he just came up with a plan to kill Rick and then hits himself like he wants to get the thought of killing Rick out of his head
1°Shane
2°Daryl
3°Michonne
best characters
i will always miss shane
Oh I'm dead with this song and how well you edited it ❤️😭
Shane was an ill-understood hero
Shane, o louco mais sabio de toda a série, após sua saida, a série não foi mais a mesma, eu gosto do Rick, mas o Shane sempre foi diferenciado, na série ele fazia o certo, mas da maneira errada!
Rip Shane!🖤
Shane Walsh = Underrated
Shane
Shane the perfect survivor
and the acting of shane was so damn perfect! Ain't no way it could be done better
rip legend shane walsh
Shane was my favorite
Shane needs hes own tales of twd
One where Shane either left earlier or stayed and decided to let Lori go
This video is absolutely beautiful. It depicts Shane perfectly.
Anita Tay Foo Might have, but the series' storyline would have been boring then. The gov and his army made it alot more entertaining
It'd be cool to see the Dixon brothers in one team in Rick's group at the prison for a while
Reymond Samie You've definetely got a point there
Shane is a badass
Zack Baillie saying the guy that has a governor profile picture
Shane Rules man.
One of my new favorite videos
Really awesome video I don't think it could have been portrayed any better.Definitely hit the true emotion
Love it... Thank you... Good job...
O melhor tributo ao Shane que vi até agora, parabéns!!!
Wounder if Judith is Shane's daughter.
Yes! Maybe they'll mention shane. And you never know Jon bernthal may make a cameo! :O
i think she is
she is lol, remember when rick went insane in season 3, he picked judith up and looked strangely on judith he was like fuck this is shanes kid, im gona rewatch the whole god damn show now
TheAngrySquad he did say it(:
;)
O jeito que tratam e esquecem dele é igual ao jeito que eu sou tratada amo muito o Shane ❤

So shout it from the rooftops: SHANE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING AND NOBODY REALIZED THAT!
Biggest tragedy on the show
Miss the old walking dead :(
now it's shit for me
the show is not the same without shane, miss him :( great video!
Lord Shane
the apacolypse realy showed how shane realy was.
Shane ile şu şarkının uyumu bitiriyor beni
