I immediately thought, Rei is probably dead already and this is her world (because this theme previously used in persona 1). but damn, that scene is so depressing :(.

I think it's pretty awesome that Rei doesn't go "NAP TIME' like everyone else did when you fought their shadows. And if you get that joke, you get a web-cookie.

But on the other hand, taking a soul by force, even as a being of death, wouldn't have been a peaceful death either. And in this way, she at least was able to have a bunch of friends before she finally was put to rest. But was the benefit worth the cost?
You have point but I think Zen aka Chronos should have just done his job and took her to her final destination. If he’d had done that all this needless chaos would have been unnecessary, but then we would have experienced a great game. 😂 Still we all see the repercussions of how the cycle of life and death if off balance can bring catastrophic consequences even to Zen since he ended up splitting in half.
I love the dub in this game so much especially in this part. You can hear the bitterness of Rei's words and that just hits my heart :') I will always love you Rei
Damn Myriad Arrows wrecked that boss. Poor Rei though. Sorta predicted that plot-twist about her. There's also a crazy theory about her involving Ultimax but its probably fanon bunk. Good luck on the final battle!

Also would she really have been all the way out in Inaba instead of Port Island which is closer to the island where the robots were being based off of her?
I bet the Merciful Clergyman was someone who went to her at her deathbed to hear her last words/do some sort of religious afterlife thing. Or it could have been her dreaming of marriage for herself during that time.

Holy SHIT those Myriad Arrows. I was playing earlier and saw I could fuse a Persona with them... But then saw they were low accuracy and got turned off. But Agility Binding completely solves that! I am going to abuse the shit out of that now.

Man, my favorite track in the game so far. I used Debilitate along with Tarunda and Sukunda on this guy, turned him into an absolute chump. Somehow they show up as stacking in the status screen. Game got real dark real fast, although honestly, the Doctor battle in the previous labyrinth was screaming this.
Aigiss fucking rekt the boss. Shura Tensei ftw. Hey, you're at this part! Almost finished! This scene was absolutely tragic. Up until this point in the game Rei's voice had slightly annoyed me, but her performance as Niko blew me away and then her overly cheery voice made sense. Like wow.
Well, this was one big feels bomb. Makes you cringe as you get further into the sad background story. Hoping it gets a tiny bit more cheery towards the end and not going into a deeper tragic feels bomb

You have to be level 55 in order to defeat this Shadow. Hence explains why P3 and P4 main characters has Orpheus and Izanagi evolved into Messiah and Izanagi-no-Okami by battling Margaret in You in Wonderland, once you completed all quests that were given.
Shadow Rei is a projection of her subconscious mind rejecting her death. Since Rei lost all of her memories, her Shadow is supposed to be afraid to die, like she actually was when she was alive. That's why her Shadow regains half its HP when it is reduced to 0. It really doesn't want to die.
Game Guy95 If I had to guess what arcana it symbolized (as all shadows do), it'd say reversed Star. The Star usually means inspiration and hope, but reversed it means an event will cause great depression and despair. Rei had no hope, no light, nothing when she died, hence the arena's darkness.
