J-hope paid 2.7M dollars of credit and yet released the song for free - this dance was one of things that flared his passion for dance and he wanted to do a tribute for it.
J-hope co-produced the track, he did so much job for it. He also made sure all the dancers are credited. He's such a great human being.

This song was what first inspired Jhope to dance. It was special to him so he was the one who proposed the remake and got Becky G on board. This was Jhope from beginnig to end. Fashion, choreography, everything. This was one of his dreams come true. He did pay the original artist 2.7mil and then put the song out for free on Spotify or so that's what I read.

@@patriciabarbao so "music royalties" are payments that go to the artists, producers, composers, songwriters, etc. (basically copyrighted stuff) for the right to use their material/property :)
Patricia Barba Like when Ariana made 7 Rings which was originally an older movie, she gave 90% of the Royalties to the original creators.
I love all of BTS but J-Hope is my bias because his dancing and rap style. I loved when Bianca (who wrote the song) tweeted thanks to J-Hope and Becky G and mentioned that she wrote a song about soup and now she's eating for life..best tweet ever. I also love J-Hope's back story of CNS and how it lead him to his love of dance to where he is now with BTS and his life.. .The credits at the end are him paying it forward by naming all the dancers that worked on the video with them and even letting them freestyle at the end during the credits. I loved the diversity in the dancers and the Korean/English/Spanish lyrics.I loved this so much,I bought both the original Chicken Noodle Soup and J-Hope and Becky G version after they let us download it for free from the big hit twitter page that first day.💜
Becky G is so underrated, she is consistently putting out new music. Her latest video for Secrets is so good.

jhope worked on this song for 2 years. He had hoped to released it as part of his mixtape but the original
collab fell through. He had been waiting to release it at the right time but jhope was involved in the whole
Process. And this song meant a lot to him. It was the first choreo he learned

This is J-Hope's song (with the lovely Becky G featuring!). He originally wanted to include this in his 2018 mixtape "Hopeworld" but the origianl collab fell thru & he was so regretful that it didn't get to be in there. But he never gave up on it cos this was a labor of love for him. Chicken Noodle Soup was the 1st dance he learned properly in Korea (that's how global this song was, astonishing!) when he was a kid so he has an enormous amount of affection for it, it was a huge & crucial part of his story. And he said on his livestream that this track & MV was an ode & labor of love to dance & to those that inspired him, which he gifted to the world/his fans for FREE while he MADE SURE to give the original creators credit, ALL 2.7M of it. It was sad but understandable to see so many reactors just assume that Jhope wud steal it, such is the awful situation that ppl have been stealing & not giving credit to the black community for so long now. But thankfully Jhope doesn't play that way. Not only did he give credit where credit is due, but he did this from his heart, without putting $$$ first. How many artists do that. I love this track for so many reasons, which is why I chose to buy it, cos I believe artistry shud be rewarded. A free track made it to #81 on the Billboard Hot 100, a FREE track! x

They both chose this song cause it takes them back to their child hood which many can relate! And it’s one of his first that inspired him to start dancing. It was shot in LA but also paying homage to East and west coast! He’s the first BTS that hit hot 100 on a solo! 💜🔥

Also what I love about jhope and bighit is they given a shoutout to the original artists, giving them credit and paying them. Especially because American companies sometimes they take credit and act like they created it when they didn’t, like the song blurred lines. But J-hope and bighit knows butter and they give credit to the original artists even though it was created years ago, they didn’t follow the old saying “it's better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission”. They sample the original one the correct way, plus doing it correctly save them money in the long run because they don’t have to deal with a lawsuit like Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams

Yes, for many years before he joined BTS. From what I read from a couple of articles, he was already very famous for his dancing in South Korea pre-BTS days. He won many competitions.
Yes, he is. He was a street dancer who passionately do..dance. And after joined BTS he becomes dance leader who monitors the member's dance and correcting their moves. And he now involves so much in preparation of stage performance, especially when stage director Song is not be able to monitor stage production. And after seeing this mv, it's clearly he is a dancer. He is so much energized and hyped when they do freestyle dance in the end of mv.

CNS was supposed to be in Jhope's free mixtape, Hope World, but he didn't include it I htink because he said he wasnt satisfied with how it turned out yet. Like others said, this was the first song that inspired Jhope to dance. Then after some time Jhope asked Becky G for the collab, which was wild!!!
Hobi has actually been working on CNS for years and wanted to release it on Hope World but it just wasn’t coming together. CNS is special to him because it’s the first song he learned choreo to as a young dancer. When he met Becky G at the BBMAs he asked her to collab. She was down because it’s a song she loved as well. It took her some time because she was touring at the time but eventually it all came together. Side note: member solo projects are not produced by Big Hit so he can only work on it in his “spare” time and filmed the MV while on “vacation”’ recently.
Her name is Bianca but at the time she was going by Young B. And Dame is right..JHope gave her 100% of the royalties which came up to over 2 Mil if I'm not mistaken that he gave her. That was a dope fact to share and it's very humbling.
Oh! And then he released the song for free! This was a passion project for him. He wasn't looking to make money of it. It's just something he always wanted to do because this song inspired him to dance seriously and he's just thankful.

the mv was set in LA on the hottest day and the video had to be one take, so they were really hot and tired hahaha

Jhope is a talented man. Since his childhood he was a street dancer in his hometown. He was pretty famous in his city for his dancing skills, even when BTS (his actual group) was in their early days, the group was known as "the group were is Jung Hoseok ( real name of Jhope)".
With rap battles he learned how to develop his own style of rap. All these years of learning and natural talent have brought him all these skills and abilities he has now.
Now, He is a complete all rounded artist, he is a dancer, rapper, singer, producer and songwriter. I hope a better future to him.
Also, he is so humble, caring and supportive. Thats why I admire him so much. He is a GOLDEN ARTIST

Super Junior and VAV are some kpop groups who also did korean/spanish/english songs.
He's talking about himself and his pride for his hometown Gwangju and there's this chicken soup with red bean noodles that came only from there. This song's mainly about their roots and how they grew from there which makes me happy. Chicken Noodle Soup was also the first dance that lead him to street dancing too.
So J Hope paid for the rights to the song , that's understandable , But look at him , Look at Hopeworld Look at CNS , J Hope is on another level .
This was Jhope's idea cause the song means a lot to him and it took a while for him to get it out and he said he was so happy that he could finally share it

In the Behind-the-Scenes Hobi said that the chicken car happened to belong to the director. Talk about serendipity. He flew to LA during his vacay to film it.

JHope vibe is really different .. i mean, every BTS member put all their passion when they perform. whenever JHope dances, you can feel the emotion of the song and up until now whenever i watch Boy Meets Evil, i can still get the chills and the emotion of his dance .. a lot of people can dance but a very few can put and show the emotion of the dance to everyone that is watching ..

Great reaction, best one I've seen to this so far. I just love this song so much. I never even knew the original song. Some how it reached young Jung Hoseok in SK but not 26 yr old me in California. 🤷♀️ I looked up the top 100 songs of 2006 and I didn't know most of them though 😂 Anyway I love the mix of Korean, Spanish & English. I think of the 3 rappers from BTS J-Hope's style is my favourite, that's hard to say cause I love them all but there's just something about J-Hope.

This was shot in downtown LA (opposite side of the bridges) by the LA river . Photographers, videographers and cinematographers use this area all the time.
