You may know these laryngeal massage techniques under many different names: vocal massage techniques, digital laryngeal massage, laryngeal massage voice therapy, circumlaryngeal massage, larynx massage, throat massage, self massage, self massage techniques, self massage neck, vocal massage, vocal cord massage. It really does not matter how you call it or what diagnosis you have (like Muscle Tension Dysphonia), this approach releases vocal tension and throat tension so that you can achieve relaxed throat muscles and continue with your daily vocal tasks.

Thank you for stopping by. So, what do you say: yea or nay?
I see 2 prices on ur website 5000 and 1500. What's the real price?
I like it! Less tension. Thank you.
Yea!
I've been having a "lump in throat" feeling since I woke up this morning and this provided instant relief. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this. I was dealing with a lump in my throat feeling and my vocal chords spamming due to GERD, and these massages help! I also appreciate that you mentioned a laryngologist, because my GI has not helped at all with this part of the issue. Much a appreciated. One of the best things you can do is to help people heal. Thank you!
With pleasure
I have gerd too and this exercise is so relieving! I struggle especially with low notes and this is so helpful
Excellent thank you
I am a very quiet person who talks about 10-20 percent of the amount a 'normal' person would. I am living abroad in Cambodia and decided to take lessons in the Khmer (Cambodian) language. Not only am I speaking much more than I normally do, but am using my vocal cords and mouth to try to produce sounds that wreak havoc on the entire area.
My voice has really been raspy, hoarse, and crackly for several days, but after doing your laryngeal massage for a few minutes, I feel much better. Thank you so much!
If you have any exercises to strengthen the voice for reticent people, I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you so much ❤ very beneficial video
So happy to hear!
Thank you! Grateful to have found your channel - the massage felt good! I will do it again
This works great, thanks Katarina!😄
Fantastic! So glad to hear!
Really Great video. From a classical singer/voice teacher.❤❤
Wow, thank you for your kind words.
Thanks Katarina, worked nicely.
Glad it helped!
Thanks you so much for this post, remain blessed Katarina🙏🏾Amen🙏🏾
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for teaching me how to do this. It's so easy and releases a lot of yawning here 😊
This felt weird....the side to side, gig!!! Wow, but I did it 'safely' and I'll keep doing it so to help my speaking and singing voice/throat. Thanks Katarina.
Don't force anything. if this massage does not feel right, don't do it. There are other things you can do to release tension.
It helped!!!
Super weird to do, but felt some minor relief. I'm going to keep doing these along with the under chin tightness and jaw massages! Next, learning how to improve my voice health. Early childhood educator here, lots of singing and speaking in a high pitch and doing voices for stories!
That’s great thanks 🙏 ❤
I am glad it helped.
thanks so much Katarina! I will definitely try this approach. Appreciate all you do!
Please do. This is one of my favourite approaches!
@@healthyvoicetips hi, do you do private coaching? Or only group?
Wonderful!! Thank you!!!!
Happy to hear that you liked the video. Thank you for your comment.
Thank you so much for this. ❤
With pleasure.
It's really helpful, I damaged my voice since a wekk idk how cause I'm always care about my voice maybe cause I trained for long time but today i felt a little pain in my throst but when I tried this massage ftom the first step I suddenly felt that I will sleep cause it's makes me feel so relaxing and i will do it everyday and i know it's will helps cause I can feel from now that pain not as before
I am happy to hear that you found it useful. If your voice problems persist, I suggest that you have your voice checked by a laryngologist.
Hi
Please make a video on exercises for MTD that are used in voice therapy
A set of the exercises
My whole channel is mostly made for people with tension issues, including for people with MTD. Have you seen all those videos?
Thank you !
No worries!
Thank you
With pleasure!
Thanks Katrina. Will this help me recover faster after my Micro Laryngeal Surgery, Vocard Cord Nodule Surgery?
Speak to your therapist if this is something that can help.
very nicely described and very informative video.
Thank you for your kind words!
Thanks Katarina...
With pleasure!
Hello .. i have dysphonia my voice is on n off when i speak. U think i can use this methode to help my voice ?
How is your voice today?
Thanks it helps
Glad to hear!!!
Thank you for mentioning the clicking. I was getting ready to panic.
Clicking is very common and makes many people panic!
This was amazing! As a singer with voice problems I'm very grateful. Should I be concerned my Adam's apple won't go to the right easily? My throat does tighten up when I sing, even though I try to stay relaxed.
No, I would not be concerned. If the massage was helpful, I would use it on a regular basis and see if you can release the muscles even more over time. Singers have high vocal demands, even though you may be doing everything right so knowing what helps before and after singing can be helpful in keeping the voice in the best shape possible.
@@healthyvoicetips After the massage my voice didn't hang up on certain words and my vibrato flowed much easier. I will perform this massage regularly now, many thanks.
Hello katrina..I love your method of teaching and therapy.i have a challenge which is constant hoarseness, pain and I have a swelling at the right side of my throat, just below my hyiod cartilage....am really not comfortable about the swelling cos I don't know what it is and doctors I've been to, don't also know what to call it
I am sorry to hear that! Sometimes, it is a long road to find the right answers. I always recommend to go and see a laryngologist in a specialized voice clinic. They are better trained to spot minor differences in peoples' voices.
@@healthyvoicetips kk duly noted
I am a classical Singer and few years from now I am not able to sing or practice. My voice cracks and I fell my throat dry and that forces me to stop for a moment and I have to drink water or make my throat wet.
Can you help me?
Have you had your voice evaluated by a laryngologist?
@@healthyvoicetips Consulted ENT specialist. My Vocal chord is OK. But while singing I feel dryness in my throat which stops me from singing for a while.
I m professional singer and its been 2 year i lost my voice cz of acid reflex even i feel hard to speak causally i feel i m lost now my ent doctor say everything fine in ur throat
Did you see a common ENT or a laryngologist who specializes in singing voice? I would highly recommend that you seek the latter because they are trained to see, hear and feel; differences in people who are dealing with singing voice issues. Common ENTs may not have enough experience or training to help people like you.
I think i got the same problem
@@rizalmarasabessy1053 probably i can help you cz i m fixing it nd getting out from their 😊
Thanks for this video! For the exercises, are you supposed to actually be able to move the hyoid bone left and right? And your Adam's apple left/right and up/down? They don't move much for me, but I may also be being overly cautious/gentle.
The movements are very slight. If you have trouble moving them at all, it may indicate some tension. But only do what is comfortable for you.
can this exercise be used for LPR or Globus?
This exercise will not manage your LPR, that has to be done either with medication or with behavioural strategies. This massage will release some muscle tension, which may be causing your globus sensation.
Uhm I was diagnosed with LPR about 2 months ago and I’ve apparently had it since 2018 after changing my diet (most days) and drinking apple cider vinegar (sometimes by itself) and doing larynx massages and working diligently and not using any force it’s about gone. I still have tension at the bottom of my vocal cords cause that’s the hardest part to get but it works for me
My bone sort of clicks when I move it from side to side. Is that a problem?
Clicking is normal. The sound is created by cartilages rubbing against each other. Be gentle though! Do not force anything.
Mummy Karina what about me I feel pain when am talking and headache all time
Not only nice but also very important this explanation, thank you Katarina!
Glad you think so! I really appreciate your comment.
Very nice katarina madam. Also please upload breathing exercises. Thank you madam.
Thank you for your suggestion.

Did the massage help?
This video is very good I would’ve just liked if you would show the massage first before explaining it. Just so that we can know what your talking about before you get into deep details. Great content though keep it up 💯
Thank you for your suggestion!
May i just add: a bit of oil helps to do the massage
I say yay! :)
:D
MY GOD that was so uncomfortable!
