You are mistaken. Buddha was not a great man. He was the one who came out in search of truth. But he did not get the truth. So how will he can have the peace? He was the searcher. You are praying in the wrong place. You have to pray only God. Any other ground is sinking sands. God can do anything anytime anywhere and for anyone. Jesus Christ is God. Jehovah of the old testament is the Jesus of the new.

I was living in Germany for the United States Army when I began reading the teachings of the Buddha and knew despite the 2300 year difference, he spoke the truth and taught the answers I had been searching for since I was 11 and began reading about different religions. I strive to keep his teachings to heart but as he knew, life is full of thoughts that distract the truth. Listening to the stories again brings a calmness and joy to my heart.

      @@mynameislove1704
Actually It's a deep subject. Read this all.
Samsara is the beginningless and endless cycle of repeated birth, mundane existence and dying again.
That's why some people have the memories of their past life.
Samsara is considered to be suffering, unsatisfactory and painful, perpetuated by desire and avidya, and the resulting "Karma". Rebirths occur in six realms of existence, namely three good realms and three evil realms.
      Six realms are.....
gods, demi-gods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts and hells.
You'll born in one of these realms according to your good or bad Karma you did.
For example, If you slaughter animals as your job. The next life you'll born in hell or you'll born as a same animal who would get slaughtered for meat. This will go until you spend your Karma.
Same with heaven, If you do good deeds more in your life, you'll born as a god, demi god or a human in your next life.
This is going repeatedly according to Karma your gather in every life you born. Non of these realms are permanent lives.
Heaven has the longest life span. According Lord Buddha It's like millions and millions of years longer than humans'. Buddha has given the exact life time the each type of heavens have. I can't remember the numbers. Those are very long time. Even Buddha says that the Gods in those heavens also think that they are eternal cause of their long lives. But Buddha saw and knew everything.. But always there is a risk for you to born in a bad realms once your good Karma is over and Your bad Karma becomes stronger.

@@mynameislove1704 Samsara is thought. And all that follows.
Don't believe the explanations that talk about Gods, ghosts, elves or pink unicorns. They only exist in thought.
Someone calls you an asshole. You become a demon. Thought.
Someone tells you, you have pretty eyes. You walk on clouds. Thought.
Your friend dies. You become sad, think about the past, or invent a future that can never exist. Thought.
You congratulate yourself with this knowledge. Thought.
To break the cycle of birth and death, you have to see thought. And let it pass. Eventually it stops. This is breaking free of Samsara.
Do not get caught up in definitions. They are thought. Useless. Creating new cycles, new ways to get born.
There are no multiple lives." Reïncarnation is what happens in your own life today. One life. Multiple thoughts.
      Get it?
Break samsara and karma too disappears.

Another lesson in here is Buddha always consider the psychological stage of the person who seeks his help before giving any advice. Though it was a simple theory, Budda knew she would not understand it at the first moment. So he gave her some time to realise the nature of death by herself.
You see in our life also,
If someone is very angry or very sad, give him/her some time to be clam and come to a stage where he/she can understand what you are saying.
Orelse, how hard you try to convince a point to someone, it will not work and may be it will result to worse the situation.

If you go into advanced meditation, you'll SEE that we are actually living and dying at from moment to moment. It is happening too fast for most to see and realize it. The flow is made up of, or broken by, discrete units, which is what the teaching of impermanence is basically about. It is a beautiful teaching/truth in that nothing is life is really repeated for it is in constant motion - waxing and ebbing. Nature creates, from moment to moment, everything anew, afresh [who wants a stale-smelling shirt?] for she doesn't remember what she did before as she is SELFLESS, EGOLESS. The cells in one's body are constantly dying and renewing themselves, hence they are in motion yet the image of oneself for many people remains unchanged, which as one wise one once pointed out, can be likened to a stagnant pool.

11yrs old my favorite aunt & Grandpa died of cancer almost back to back. I couldn't believe it, the two most purest, church going people I knew, puking blood and deathly eyes when I would go visit, it traumatized me. When they passed I took it hard, I cursed God from the deepest hell to high heaven asked him to strike me down too, but I feared dying. The unknown cold, void of emptiness alone for eternity I feared. After months of crying myself to sleep and asking questions I stopped believing in religion. It's been 12yrs since liberating myself and I've come to peace with alot of things, grow and make the best of my time here (:

I live in Thailand, my house is next to the village temple, the abbot is a personal friend of mine. Buddhism here is treated the same as Christianity in Europe, you pay lip service to it and run after money.
The world abounds in concepts, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, non dualism etc. Just ideas, maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong but rice still has to be planted, taxes have to be paid.
Spirituality and philosophy is a past time for those who have the spare time. You will find more ardent Buddhists in Europe than you will in Asia where there is no nanny state to care for you. I speak Thai and have had conversations with many of the monks, some are ex-convicts who can't find a job due to their past so they become monks, more than a few in Thailand have been arrested for drug dealing, drunk behaviour, sex etc. In the west it is a romanticized religion, get over it, it's just a job. The last abbot who I was friends with left to join the army as an officer because he needed the money for a new pick up.

Even after you die, your soul will continue being reincarnated until you can stop the cycle of suffering (Birth, Age, Sickness and Death) as part of the ever-changing universe, you too will change. Only after breaking the cycle can you stop being reincarnated

Years ago in my 20s I was fortunate enough to casually study with some Tibetan Buddhist Monks. I had been raised Catholic, but was dissatisfied. I read the entire Bible and thought about converting to Judaism but I was still dissatisfied. I read the entire Koran and found nothing of interest there. When I finally came around to Buddhism, it just made so much sense. One of the best lessons I learned from them was the “death meditation.” By focusing on the fact that death can come at any moment, it brings LIFE into sharper focus. It brings your morality and compassion level up. Today, I even find it difficult to squash an ant that might have crawled onto my leg. All life is precious. You have no right to extinguish the divine spark. For me it is such a different concept that I grew up with - where God was - “on your side and everyone else was going to hell.” I can only hope that one day, half the World understand some of the Buddha’s teachings.

There's is comfort and chill in the rain that heals. Sadly, most people hated those i mentioned above. Such a pity they don't get to feel what I feel. And it's such a bliss to know that my philosophy is somewhat related the teachings of the Buddha.
