my 1st deployment back in 2003 it was bullets in the air like that every night and then you would see 2 apache choppers come and just tear shit up and sometimes the air force would drop 500 pounders and shake the whole ground when your trying to sleep and shit. Guess they don't stop the war because my bad ass needs a nap. who would have thought.

Good shit man, You won't regret it. As far as MEPS goes, make sure you get some sleep and hydrate in the morning because you'll have to do a piss test. It's gonna be a long day but just try and be patient.

When in Iraq did y'all spend most of ur time in like a fob or did y'all have to like sleep in the field or ur trucks?
By most of ur time I meant like nights. Do u spend ur nights in the field or at like a fob?
we operated out of a proper airbase. we had our rooms there, bit we would sleep at other camps around the country when we were out on missions.
