Can we vote to ban Austin rivers from the show? 😂
Such a douche.
He's not wrong tho
This only thing I feel he has wrong is that I feel he thinks the ppl themselves couldn't it's more basketball skills would translate way better than football does to basketball bc it's more physical and just a diff sport
This
@@shanebryant6478 i mean he is though...like all the basketball players who went to the nfl were not great basketball players, they were just freak athletes. Like if it takes you 30 seconds and a box of tissues to get up from a charge...you aren't taking an nfl hit. besides the fact that none of those guys are nfl fast. they're high cardio guys, weak burst. probably high 10 yard splits fall off at the 20 split.
also...the nfl makes more than the nba and all pro soccer leagues combined....so which one is real?
I love JJ Watt’s response, “go ahead and try it”
Did you love his apology
@@Troll-vj6sy haven’t seen one. If he did apologize, it’s probably for the “you don’t got a job” part. He would probably try to stay politically correct. He’s involved with an English soccer team right now, so they probably don’t want any drama.
@@Nicholas-HTX yeah he just said he reacted to just the headline before actually watching the video. I think most people thought it was a serious discussion but it really was just trash talk between dudes lol
Y'all couldn't do anything with Jimmy Graham. Cut it out LMAO

Austin Rivers is as good a pundit as he was a player
As someone who has no clue who this guy is please explain if this was an insult or not.
Not very good then?
@@kevin1153 That's the point
He played
@@kevin1153He’s claiming players from a non contact sport can take over the hardest hitting sport in the entire world. Its laughably stupid. Like saying COD players could take over a war zone
“Football is just running north and south.” And basketball is what?
More physical
@@glitbow7630😂😂😂😂
@@glitbow7630great bait 😂
Hand eye coordination and all around coordination. And finesse.
North and south on a smaller field of play
Austin Rivers said out of his own mouth “I quit football after my first day of practice because it was hot & the coach wouldn’t stop yelling at me”
Most NBA players are soft, it’s only certain few players that would even be able to last 5 weeks in the NFL, it’s a different game when you put pads on & have to get touched, NBA players think running routes vs somebody 1 on 1 means you can play in the NFL 🙄
NBA players hands down have the biggest egos out of all athletes I will say that & stand on it.
Any NBA player would get hit once and be done.
I’ll take a hit with pads on any day over a blind side screen in basketball
Yeah Lebron gets hit and he’s done…lmao clown

Nba players to the nfl is the equivalent of a Boxer stepping in the octagon 😂
Probably the smartest comment I’ve seen today
"boxer"
What about jimmy graham and Julius peppers who played college basketball then just went straight to the NFL😂
@@daltonmoore233 well some can but some can’t. Not every boxer can go into a octagon and not everyone that’s lived in the octagon can go into boxing
@@daltonmoore233 those guys played college football not like they just played basketball and decided to play NFL football 😂
NBA players would never be able to take that amount of CTE.
Imagine if Ja went Full AB mode
Football players don't take CTE any better. They just keep playing for the love of the sport and ignore the consequences until it's in their face.
Idk it sound like Austin already has severe CTE
@@TCraig00 whoosh
Um Antonio gates never played football but was a good basketball player and made the hall of fame lol
He’s right they could all join the nfl right now, but they won’t make the 53 man roster 😂
Im sure they would really fit in on special teams with all the changes……
You think these tall 6'3 point guards and such wouldn't be shifty cbs or wrs?
You know how many olinemen the nba could put out? The way the big men move in the nba would translate to the nfl
they can be in the practice squad
@@maddenplaya2097 Couldn't stand up to the contact, until proven otherwise. Even guys who handled the contact for years at the college level will get into the NFL and get knocked out by injuries. I don't see many basketball players who stay in basketball into the NBA who could hold up under the level of contact necessary. Antonio Gates is one of the very few examples I can think of who had a basketball focus in college, and successfully transitioned to football.
At the same time, if you took a lean, athletic TE or LB, or a tall WR, and trained them until they were a 45% shooter, they could pretty easily transition into the NBA. That's really the question in my mind. Can they develop the shot?
I think it's easier to coach and develop the shot than the toughness, so despite the fact that NFL players tend to be selected to be body types that aren't a great fit for basketball, it would be easier for an NFL player to reach NBA-level performance in basketball, than for an NBA player to reach NFL-level performance in football, despite the heavy numerical advantage.
That’s just an ignorant comment, these dudes played basketball for a reason. Especially this age of the NBA, they’re soft, they couldn’t take a hit
tbf a good amount of nba players had the potential to succeed in football as well, but why take more damage for less money? 🤷♂️
LeBron James was the number one player in Ohio in basketball and football…. So was a role player… Matt Barnes in California. Julius Peppers was a starter for UNC. Antonio Gates was a 20 PPG scorer. Tony G was a starter, and also a First Ballot HOFer like Julius Peppers. NBA players are the most athletic people on the planet.
@@DekuMight45 There’s more to football then just being tall and fast it’s about the perfect combination of both plus other attributes for what the position requires. Gates and others had other attributes that made him successful at football, that every tall kinda fast bball player wouldn’t have. NBA players are notoriously soft and too weak too selfish and not fast enough football hurts to play its a collision sport
THIS is an ignorant comment. There are crazy athletes in both sports, arguing over one sport being “harder” than another is elementary. Neither is wrong
NFL also got way softer but yeah NBA players wouldn’t make it
News flash: most basketball players were wide receivers who didn’t want to get hit.
News Flash : Most TE are basketball players who wasn’t talented enough to make it at the next level
NBA players cry at being lightly touched.
They'd quit after one good hit
LMAO have you seen every QB in NFL history cry to the refs almost every snap? I'm pretty sure Tom Brady has a highlight tape of him just crying about calls....... And that's the GOAT
NBA players cry for the foul, not because it hurt. You really think that these players are crying to the REFS because they're hurting??? Please think lmfao
NBA players are even softer than MLB players.
I will pay you to walk into an nba locker room and say that to those giants
MLB players aren’t really that soft.
@@ttothek131 what you say is called "boxing" nowadays
@@ttothek131they prolly would pull a gun cuz they black
@@jasonshumake777 Not physically soft, just psychologically soft lol. Who the hell else is more easily offended than baseball players? "Muh unspoken rules & traditionalism!!!"
Im convinced Anthony Edwards can do anything he says he can do
You could probably find 30 guys that could make a practice squad as developmental guys maybe 5 or so would pan out something tells me Austin river’s doesn’t know just how intricate the game of football is
Every single NBA drama queen would be cut. Stop the cap.
You don’t think the nfl got drama queens lol ? I can give you a long list
@@joshsanders2820 tell you gargle sperm without telling me you gargle sperm.
That list is mostly WR. Over half the 30 guys would be at WR. Checks out
So every great WR? rofl
Like Antonio Brown and Vontae Davis, RIP, quitting during a game?
"that's cuz you can only have 5 on the court" LOL
30 NFL players on a basketball court would look like children trying to play vs their brother 10 years older than them. 30 NBA players on an field would be carted off the field before halftime.
They wouldn’t survive a day of practice
Austin couldnt even play in the nba on his own dads team. He's not making no 53 for sure🤣🤣
And Austin wonders why nobody cares about anything he says
he said one sentence and instantly sounded like a clown
Austins, definetly never seen hitting drills with a mad coach after a loss. Barkley, one of the NBA players with the right body, said he quit football after this first day lmao.
What has Austin Rivers done since he’s been in the league??? He smoking

He's right. Pretty much every NBA player could be a receiver
Austin Rivers spitting facts.
Modern day NFL gets closer and closer to the NBA, rivers gets closer and closer to right each year.
This will likely age well and that makes me sick
Maybe if a NFL player said this, it would have more meaning 😂
Oh my God, how have not realize that Austin Rivers looks exactly like Andrew Tate.
I was looking for someone to say something too! lmao
Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez were basketball players primarily and just decided to pursue football after college, I’ve never seen a football player primarily turn up into a hof basketball player
Proof that football is king
@@SmedleyButlerIIthat was a stupid take that isn't a proven fact that football player are better athletes then NBA players there's no proof at all that's just your personal opinion!!
Football players get a break every play lol.
The NBA is 10 guys stand still for 20 seconds then Harden shoots a 3.
he aint lying
2:25 uhhh go watch when he played in the msu spring game 😂
Bron would flop at the line of scrimmage as soon at the CB put the PAWS ON EM!!!
Austin Rivers trying to destroy all his creditability in one visit..... most NBA players, in 2024, are not tough enough for the NFL
I really thought this was Ted Lasso hahahah
Lmao had dude on just for the clips
D-But’s comparison of the NFL and NBA to NASCAR and F1 is actually pretty good.
The arrogance of people thinking sports are just raw athleticism. Dozens of NBA players COULD have been great in the NFL. Do agree that NFL players would struggle in the NBA because its such specific body types tall and flexible or very tall and strong in a very intense small game.
Austin rivers is hilarious 😂😂😂
I'm not sure about 30 players going to the NFL from the NBA. Now what I can say most NFL players weren't skilled enough to play in the NBA. What we've seen is guys who never played football make an NFL roster. All TEs yes but, Gates, Graham, MO alle cox. No NFL player has left football and played NBA.
30 players? He thinks they have 30 guys that wouldn't give up before opening Kickoff because the practices involve car collisions
Played football at a D1 school. Our basketball team made the tourney pretty often.
Each team was scheduled to lift on the same days. We'd hoop a bit in between. The football players (many of whom were recruited to play basketball) would win pretty often.
Also, the average vertical of defensive ends drafted in the first round is higher than the average bballer drafted in the first round. Basketball players are rarely great athletes. They have incredible handeye coordination, they're tall, but that's about it in comparison to football players.
@Arccanos I actually think that Jimmy Buckets could make it deep in the NFL as a backup outside receiver. He's about 6'5/6'6 and he's got hops, he's pretty shifty and athletic but I feel like he could be a good outside receiver. Don't know about the route running ability or hands, but he definitely fast enough to get separation between himself and a DB.
At the highest levels you won’t find many nfl players able to play in the nba. Height athleticism just not comparable. Average height is 6’7 and no. Tom Brady could not even make a d2 college basketball team
@@maverich8 Height and not focusing primarily on basketball for 20 years are the only things keeping football players out of the NBA. The problems with basketball players playing in the NFL are their height and lack of athleticism. There are very, very few NFL players 6'7"+. Why? There just aren't very many good athletes that tall. If the NBA players tried to play football, they'd get destroyed. They're not nearly the same caliber of athlete as NFL players (draft/combine information lays that out very clearly and objectively). They'd never have leverage. They'd be significantly too soft. I could go on.
There are maybe five NBA players I'd consider trying out over the last 35 years I've been an NBA fan. None of them except Lebron are over 6'4".
People just don't understand how athletic NFL players are. Doug Flutie (5'10" QB) could easily dunk. If you started NFL players out focusing primarily on basketball from childhood, most of them 6'2"+ would have a shot at the NBA. White boys included.
Austin is a trip 🤣🤣🤣
Randy Moss but that was a while ago. He might have made that NBA transition.
Dave Winfeld even longer back. drafted by the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA, the Utah Stars of the ABA, the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL, and the San Diego Padres.
I’m really surprised none of them brought up the whole having to play in the elements in winter. Let’s see how many nba guys get by getting hit in some snow games.
Dude he never seen Ray Lewis Ring somebody up full speed.
Austin's greatest accomplishment in the NBA is being the son of a great coach
Who are you to be talking?
A spectator spectating like everyone else.
🤣🤣🤣 Go ahead.... give that a shot.
He is right but dorks won’t want to believe it
They meant Cody Paul hahahaha
Austin said “basketball is global” and my football coach growing up always said “if it was easy everyone would do it”
Economics. Basketball is cheaper to play
The difference is that the nfl players could play 3 positions well in the nba (provided they can shoot) and be a small ball 4. NBA players could play outside corner (not slot too much tackling) and receiver. Only Zion could play tackle or tight end because his weight is compacted at 6’5 the rest of the strong nba players are over 6’10 and would get bulldozed by a guy that’s the same weight and lower to the ground
Austin rivers ain’t telling no lies 😭😭
NBA players cry when they break a finger nail lol
Yeah let's start seeing a celebrity football game at the pro bowl full contact and see how that goes 💀
Yeah Austin rivers knows a lot about football… in high school our basketball player percentage of players that stayed after hitting drills was very low haha
NBA players aren't, as a rule, built for football and vice versa. There are some outliers in both sports who likely can do it, but the games are two very different animals. o
There’s only one way to solve this. A game both ways, full contact. Play a game of football and a game of basketball with the best players
There’s so many college hoopers who went onto have great nfl careers Lol
I would agree that the hardest position in sports would be an nhl goalie, I mean yeah you are full padded but your job is to stop pucks going around 100mph
I wouldn’t call that the hardest, maybe the most painful or most risky or the position I’d want to play least second to an O-Lineman lmao
@@LYDreamCT Oof, I have nothing but respect for O-lineman having seen up-close how O-lineman get beat up and beat the defense up just to move their team up the field. Without a strong Oline, it would be like Joey Burrows every other dropback.
Love NBA and NFL…but can we just get one of these NBA guys to run a route on an NFL corner and just see if he can get open?
Let’s put their money where their mouth is.
These are the same guys who complain about playing BASKETBALL back to back days…
Instead of the pro bowl we should have an all nba football team play and nfl football team and vice versa for a basketball game.
As a basketball player I think 30 is a bit generous. Looking at the entire NBA, thinking of the top of my head I can picture more than 15 players that could legit switch sports successfully
2 basketball players are two of the great te's of all times .. Jimmy Graham was a hooper at Miami
Ppl in the comments talking crap about Rivers you guys realize he's trolling right? I like the argumentative chemistry he has with them
Why would it be a trolling comment when it’s true.
@@maverich8 what part of what he said was true because no way how soft these dudes are in the NBA could handle the NFL
This was as good as its intentions. To spark argument. No way in hell a single NBA player could put his hand in the dirt and not die in the NFL
I could take 50 MLB Players and throw them into NFL games too.
Football is way more mental. Aaron Donald could strangle every NBA player with his bare hands in a fight. 😅
Austin Rivers is correct.
Antonio Gates and Jimmy Graham their love is basketball... there is a reason they went to football... they couldn't make it to the NBA. I'm not saying NBA players can play football, but I bet a lot more can make it in the NFL than NFL players can make it to the NBA, even just based on percentage because of course there are more roster spots in the NFL than NBA.
Preach
30 nba players would last 30 total plays in football
Played safety and cornerback in HS. Tall skinny guys was my favorite to hit. Even when they lowered that shoulder I would still hit them right in the stomach.
Ya'll are losing your minds over a bit of trolling lol
Not LeBron with a cowboy jersey on 😂
Nobody should ever interview Austin Rivers
He’s talking about the players from the league that had to put a rule in place for flopping?!? LOL
A high-school kid can and has played in the NBA. A high-school kid could never play in the NFL.
If we being honest I could name at least 15-20 players that could play in the NFL.
Call someone like Antonio Gates and ask them
I watched Paul George talking to the kelce bros about this same thing before, and they agreed that nba players would transition better to the nfl than vice versa. And now this guy is dropping it here like he's just thought of this himself.
You have to flop in soccer because if you don't flop then you will be fouled and the referee will never call it, because he won't see it.
In the NFL there is no need to flop because a flag or more is thrown on every single play.
In the NBA you don't need to flop, because star players get a free throw after almost every shot.
LOL
Austin Rivers wouldn’t even be able to punt in the NFL 😂
Imagine Wemby in the NFL 😂😂 He would literally get snapped in half
You'd have an easier time converting MLB players to NFL players. Than you would NBA to NFL.
Only 2 players have done it at the highest level, but that's 2 more than the NBA.
That’s cause of how season lineup , basketball regular season during football and basketball playoffs during the start of MLB season
@@jamesholyfield3304 I mean Deion tried to play in the MLB Playoffs and NFL regular season. But team management didn't let him play to his fullest ability. He suited up and was with both teams during the games. 3 games within 24 hrs. 2 MLB playoff games and 1 NFL.
He made History doing it, but I think he woulda rather played in both games on the same day than playing in one and systematically being benched for the other.
Still, only Athlete to attempt it.
And by no means am I saying NBA players couldn't hack it in NFL. My opinion is just it would be easier to cross over between sports with MLB to NFL over NBA to NFL. Skills wise, without the sports schedule being involved at all.
What you focus on when building your body up to play the a sport. I think that carries better from NFL to MLB or vice versa, than from NBA to NFL or vice versa.
And take those 60 players and put them in baseball
Honestly, I got respect for Greg Paulus - he was a cool story, no one really did what he did
