  • So still checking the running before starting the benchwork and a few more bits bought which may allow me to change a bit of trackwork so time to start clearing decks and wait for the weather to get outside.

great video ROBERTS TRAIN SET sir👍. what i do for removable loads is cut a piece of clingfilm about 6"x6" , line the wagon and use excess to protect the sides, cut a piece of celotex/foam board to fit in the wagon on the clingfilm, carve a small bit out the bottom of the celotex/foam board and glue a steel nut , then paint it, place it in the wagon lined with clingfilm and add the chosen load, then glue with 50/50 pva as you would ballasting, let it dry for 1or 2 days then lift out by the clingfilm and remove the clingfilm, the reason for the steel nut glued to the bottom is the load can be removed with a magnet without removing the wagon from the layout. all the best sir👍👍

      Hi,
Interesting can I direct you to a couple of video's I did on the 18th & 19th April 2019 called "LOADS IN WAGONS HOW TO USE CARDBOARD & HATTONS LOADS 1&2" yes a long time ago I did it because I wanted to be able to take them in and out and although a bit long winded the system works but I am a bit lazy so have not used it much. I thank you for watching and your very nice and informative comments and will bear what you have shown in future.
      Cheers Robert.

    Hello Robert!
First of all, glad to see the foot is healing and you were able to get out and about. The end-to-end is coming along nicely. It is very informative to here the thought process and see how it is playing out. The trains themselves are always great to see and the new additions definitely stad out. As far as filling the removable loads, a thicker piece of foam with the middle ground out a bit for some weight (washers, heavy... lead pieces, whatever) about halfway up and then glue whatever load you want on top of that before installing it. Then you have loads you can remove and switch out with something else should the desire arrive without gluing it inside the wagon at all. You just remove it with tweezers or such. Anyhow, that's my silly idea! Cheers!.

      Hi Anthony,

Another part of the end to end next Friday it was dry for a change.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Stuart,
If the foot had not hurt then no walks and no extra rolling stock fate takes a hand sometimes but yes happy how the layout is coming along another video next Friday where the build starts. Thanks as always for watching and your very nice comments and ATB to you also.
      Cheers Robert.

Coming along nicely. Hope the bridge build works out. See your getting better with the shunting now the uncouplings working. Your soon need more storage space for the extra stock!

      Hi Roy,
Another video next Friday where the build starts a break in the weather dry all day. I will get the woodwork done before any card builds start but hope I can do all I want with them its a case of trying and see were I get. I thank you for watching and your very nice comments and at some point the storage space will become a problem as it is already for the loco's but maybe some under this end to end may work.
      Cheers Robert.

Nice enjoyable video- I can see you will get hours of shunting fun with this end to end layout. The man on the blustery seafront in the other video is a braver men than me. His wife on the beach must have been terrified! Hopefully, he was ok getting out of the water and all is well!

      Hi Malcolm,
I do not think the lady was worried but as I did not hang around to see them leave I do not know but I am sure both were happy doing what they were doing. Yes I did enjoy my little bit of running and it sort of showed me that all that trying has payed off. Cheers very much for watching and your very nice comments and another update next Friday so you can see were we are now.
      Cheers Robert.

      Hi Alberto,
No it was not like that this update no4 has been made a few weeks ago unlike the walk along the prom which was yesterday 1st March but as I have shown the bay on nice days thought a bit of bad weather would make an interesting video so I thank you for watching this and your very nice comments another update next Friday. Keep well and watching.
      Cheers Robert.

Hi Robert good to hear from you the running session was brilliant. Those coaches were a good find I think the paint missing adds to there charm. Do hope you feet are getting better. Colin

      Hi Colin,
I did the running to show myself and my viewers the sort of things I can do with this track layout and was happy with the result and had a lot of fun doing it so thanks for watching and your very nice comments and the foot is very good not quite right but not far away from being so. I hope your build is going well and coming along ok.
      Cheers Robert.

You might be jealous of me here. I've got a proper Railfreight Guard's Van in my rolling stock collection, which would suit your Railfreight Closed Vans a lot better than any of the goods wagons I've got. Any chance of a brake van ride with Jimmy the Jinty? He's my favourite LMS tank engine.

Robert. are your locos fitted with loksound decoders if so they have an uncoupling sequence built in

    • @robertstrainset6556
      @robertstrainset6556  5 місяців тому

      Hi Alan,
Yes I know some decoders do have this feature and I have locsound along with zimo and TTS ones in my fleet but not all the functions are on the system yet when the layout is up and running may explore this function more. I thank you very much for watching and your comments and info and wondering how yours is progressing as no videos for a long time from you but hope you are well and as I am enjoying what you are doing.
      Cheers Robert.
