Yes Joann, my violacea crosses do. Most of the commercial hybrids don’t have a fragrance but the ones that are closer to the species that you find in the wild can have a fragrance. Thank you for watching!
Where do you get your phals? I live in a somewhat rural area and have a hard time finding them. Also wondering your feeding cycle and do you feed in bloom or spike? Thx
Most grocery stores have them in the floral department but they can be pricey. They usually go on sale after the holidays. If you’re local stores don’t have them you could buy them from an orchid nursery that ships plants like Hausermanns but the shipping charge can also be a little pricey. I usually fed them every time I water, which is every 7-10 days, I give them a very weak dose of fertilizer. I fertilize my Phals whether in bloom or spike, however, I don’t fertilize new plants for a few weeks as they get acclimated to water culture.
