Pokémon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow: Trainer Battle Mario Paint Composer

- I decided that because I haven't made a single song from the original Pokémon games (unless you count the Pokémon Center and Gym), I would make the second most familiar tune from the game...the trainer battle! So, here it is in Mario Paint Composer, a Mac/PC imitation of the music sequencing feature in Mario Paint for the SNES.

I love the part when the notes go up and down in a chromatic fashon really fast at about 0:45, it was just like the game.

I never noticed how many chromatic alterations there was in this particular tune, until I saw it now. What has been heard, cannot be unheard.

@00WolfSpirit That's so true. When I ask my younger sibling (who is ~10 now, I'm 20) about Pokemon, I always stay true to my roots and give the Pokemon 2000 Movie to see if any of the Pokemon has been mentioned in the newer series. Too bad that even the most well-known Pokemon (in the old series) aren't very well-known by the newer generation of players.
This is probably the best done Mario Paint Composition I have seen. Amazing job.

wow just brings back so many memories because my first ever video game i ever got was Pokemon Yellow for the Gameboy Color and i am now thanks to that game a Hardcore/ Casual gamer and I still am faithful to the pokemon games even though i have moved on to the xbox360 as my gaming console

i remember opening my pokemon blue on christmas day. getting a blue gameboy color with this... the first time this was on was like in the varidian forest, i'd give anything to relive that experience :O

My personal favorite song from all of the games is the rival battle from Gold and Silver (he'll always be the best rival), but overall I loved all of the Ruby and Sapphire music.

I remember the No. 1 Glitch where you left town w/o a pokemon and you ended up with something that grew insanely fast. I'm pretty sure it evolved into a bulbasaur too.
Yeah i agree with that i started out with generation 4 and that is a great gen but one thing is if there wasnt such thing called action replay i would have not caught over 100 pokemon (first game was pokemon platinum but i lost it along with 40 other game while flying to orlando this summer :( )

I didn't even know there were Pokemon games until many years after I played the trading card game when it first came out O_o I started playing the games with Pokemon Pearl. I couldn't find a Pokemon Yellow/Green/Red/Blue in decent condition. (I LOVE the original Pokemon, they are what I grew up with)

@Zetyerxl I like all the complexities they've added into Pokémon as time has passed; it adds more strategic thinking into the game to actually make your decisions more carefully thought out. Also, tiers mean nothing for a lot of Pokémon. There are UU/NU tier Pokes that are just as good as OU Tier pokes, it's just based on how often they're seen. Also, as much as I loved Blue/Red/Yellow for the sake of nostalgia, I can still point out that it had its flaws (Hyper Beam OHKOing, Wrap-lock, etc.)
Pfft I grew up with Pokemon and NEVER outgrew it. I still play. I agree, the originals were best, but that doesn't stop me from playing the new games. Pokemon is just fun in general. Nothing can ever take those summer days playing Yellow from me, though!

My favourite pokemon usually tend to be the lesser-played pokemon.
I'll never forget getting a Jynx in Ice Path... teaching it Ice Punch... and without training it at all, I just went into the gym after it (the one with all the dragons) and having it utterly decimate the gym trainer's dragons that were like, 10 levels higher than Jynx. If not more. And usually in only ONE Ice Punch. xD
I lost my red version looooong ago. I miss it. That was my first pokemon.
If it wasn't documented on TRSRockin, I don't know where I would've heard that before.
Yet I am intrigued.

@00WolfSpirit I think what pisses us off more is the fact that none of them know of the rare candy glitch in the first games aka Missingno. or in the S/G/C cloning glitch that were the first real game breaking glitches

@navyboyable uhhh....havin' some trouble believing that...the official Green was only released in japan. I actually did a bit of digging to confirm it. Red and Green were released first, then they updated the graphics and design and released Blue version. When it came time to release here in the US, the name was changed to Blue because our games are based off the re-designed version. There is no classic Green version here unless it was fan-translated.

Thankfully, they did, but I don't think Nintendo cares about the older Pokemon players anymore.
@Zetyerxl EVs, IVs, Tiers, they've all existed back ever since the first games came out. You all just didn't know that they existed, just like the kids today playing Black and White.
Oh, I have Heart Gold. I can tell you that the rival's difficulty hasn't changed much from G/S/C, but there is literally a ton of stuff to do.

beyond that its a critical hit that is double super effective with same type attack bonus
