Dialga / Palkia Battle from Pokemon D/P (Mario Paint)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 лют 2008
- First video. This is the theme of Dialga/Palkia from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl that plays exclusively when you're up on Mt. Coronet and trying to catch one of these two legendary pokemon, depending on which game you have.
Other people have been making stuff with Mario Paint Composer so I figured I'd give it a go. I had to pick this out by ear and it's my first time, but I think it turned out really well. To my knowledge no one else has made this theme on Mario Paint Composer, so I really hope you enjoy it.
I especially want to thank HCBailly for his helpful tutorial on Mario Paint Composer. Without the use of that, this would have never made it to UA-cam. Oh, and it also helps to have a miniature piano on your keyboard.
Amazing! Truly amazing! The whole song was flawless! 5 stars my friend!
i can't get over the fact that my n00b pokemon that i only carried around for the HM moves that was almost 20 levels lower than Palkia beat the crap out of it when all my power fighters had trouble with it. go figure.
nice job on the song! :D i love it.
You are skilled with MP. Seriously. And your Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza? Brilliant.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG FROM POKEMON D/P!!!!! Thank you brianLED!!!
Dude this is a hardcore and catchy theme keepu up the good work.
Omg... I was gunna crap myself if you got 1:55 wrong, that';s like my ultimate favorite part, but you did really well. Awesome job! 8D!
One of The best Legendary Themes yet ^^
@gnahzdivad yeah. Giratina Origin Forme should still be Levitate, but Altered Forme: Home Shadow - 40% chance of the opponent skipping a turn while 40% chance the opponent's moves will hit itself. Confusion has a 20% chance of not being inflicted, and some Pokemon may randomly become shiny.
Heatran: Volcanic tooth - Teeth-associated moves may also burn the target, and the opponent is always susceptible to Fire, Steel, and Ground-type moves regardless of their type or ability.
omg no way!!! this song must took forever for you to make!!! I have mario paint as well for SNES and I can't make good music like this! lol
It takes some real education to do it to this degree, good job.
This is the best music in d and p next to gym theme and dare I say it after hearing it limitless times even the wild pokemon theme.
On the topic of Dialga/Palkia - me and my friend battled the two without ever using them after we caught them, and Dialga won easily. All four of his moves are super-effective against Palkia, and only one of Palkia's is. Plus, Dialga looks cooler.
As for the song, i've favorited it. It's always been my favorite DP song.
Really awesome song! I'm definitely going to fave this.
actually, when you think about dusk balls, you just have to be somewhere dark. People just think it's "amazing" that it works on Dialga and Palkia. The actual reason:
At the Spear Pillar, walk to the edge of the back platform where you find the orb in Diamond/Pearl. You see purple. You're obviously in space. And space is DARK. That's why dusk balls work on Dialga and Palkia.
This is utterly brilliant!!
@azuredragooz um...well if you just lose without resetting you keep the experience (because you go to a pokemon center, not where you last saved) so even if I COULD mess up, I only do the save-reset formula in front of a legendary or between members of the elite 4 (in the hallway between their rooms)
@Syvmana Only through a special event. But if you have the action replay, you can just run to where it is.
@dinodude1100 when they got there, Giratina's corpse was flat, and the only things moving were the claw-like whiskers below his eyes. Then a hole appeared in Giratina's left arm, and purple mist flew out, through some trees, then disappeared into the Spiritomb statue, said pokemon being popular at the time.
A very young girl, possibly 4 years old, walked up to the trainer and said, "It's just a Spiritomb trapped in a giant balloon."
Wow! thats amazing! it sounds so much like it.
all must start respecting the under appreciated alto cleft!
@dinodude1100 the Spiritomb statue started with AncientPower, which was blown back by Ominous Wind. Giratina then used Dragon Claw on the statue's pedestal, but who did it hurt? Giratina. The Spiritomb statue then used Psychic, which had done much to Giratina but it(yes, the gender was taken away) didn't give up, proven by AncientPower. The Spiritomb statue made a feeble attempt to evade this but was knocked through the Gym, which then fell on it. The Spiritomb statue made a final attempt with
@dinodude1100 this new Giratina, in the rage of seeing its original corpse vanish, brought destruction. Houses were torn into at least 40 pieces, the Pokemon Center had collapsed onto 7 people, 26 customers at the Poke Mart died from so many flying items hitting their faces, the Gym was still standing but the inside was a mess, as the walls had gotten a red paint-job. Even the Spiritomb statue's pieces were all the way at the edge of town.
Beggining is so Epic...almost sounds like to real thing!!!
That. Is the coolest thing. I've ever seen. Bravo. :D
Very well done. Resembles the Brawl version very well.
@TheSupergamer64 ok. Also, there's 2 aspects in catch rate. Catch rate(the chance of catching it which changes depending on ball) and level(if the pokemon you're using now is way higher level than wild, it raises the catch rate.)
For example, I was helping a different friend catch Giratina in Platinum, and his currently used pokemon was lv. 45-50 (giratina is lv. 47), red HP, threw ultra ball, giratina escaped, repeated twice, still escaped, switched to infernape(lv. 53-57) threw ultra ball,
This is...BRILLIANT!
to be your first video, is really cool!
@dinodude1100 What they told ME was a sad story about Giratina's past...
Apparently, Giratina used to be Dragon+Fighting. They say the "Original One" claims that he was the first legendary to be blessed with a gender. He'd enjoy being more powerful than the "Original One", and the series' legendaries(including his new form) together; he wouldn't showboat about his power, though. There was, however, an incident involving the first original region, which the "Original One" was too lazy to name...
@thepengy1234 my friend once was playing my DS and they used an ingenious strategy: Saving in front of Dialga/Palkia/Giratina. That way, if you kept failing with Ultra Balls, you would never run out of them! Just reset, load, and walk right in. I thanked my friend, and I was gonna help him get Giratina in Turnback Cave(unlocked after upgrading your Pokedex) when he got there on HIS game, but I soon cancelled that when he accidentally used my Master Ball on - can you believe it? - a Pichu.
this is a great, great job. congratulations.
pure gold man good job!!
Dodododododo. Loved this song when I first fought Dialga.
Same.
To get the '#'/'b' notes is to hold the 'Shift'/'Ctrl' buttons and click.
wow that was amazing man!
@DudeNumberX uh, yeah, they're like, in the trophy garden. Seriously, you don't go EVERYWHERE??? Ya GOTTA go everywhere if you want lotsa items. South of Hearthome, east a little on the side, on the way south, you'll see a wall. When you reach the end of the wall, just walk right in. There's a guard walking back and forth day and night, never taking a break, so at night, either walk beside the trees or come with Pokemon of around, I'd say, Level 30-47. The trophy garden IS the backyard. So yes.
@plushieboy1234 THAT WAS ARCEUS ITSELF! NOT THE AZURE FLUTE! The Azure flute hasn't even been distributed in Japan, where Nintendo actually is. It can be hacked though, or cheated with Action Replay. Arceus ITSELF was distributed like, everywhere, and they're all through mystery gift, they don't give you a freakin' wild pokemon, they catch it in a cherish ball THEN give it to you through mystery gift.
@Pivotman987 well all base stats are a single byte, the value of which can only go to 255, which is Blissey's base HP stat.
And Lv.100 if you do it right is SEVEN HUNDRED AND FREAKIN' FOURTEEN!
Also, the evolution chain has the most in-game items ever associated with them: Lucky Punch, Lucky Egg, Luck Incense and Oval Stone.
And highest Special Defense of all Normal-types: 55 @ base, 229 if you do it right at Lv.100.
this is truly amazing
@darkseraph2009 well, if there's matter, there needs to be antimatter to balance things out. It's like yin and yang or darkness and light. Both things together keep balance. You can't have one without the other.
@SethiXzon Regigigas' Slow Start didn't affect it in the anime, which is unfair in the game. It should've been something like, I dunno, Regi Pride - If the Regi Captain is the 1st out in battle and the Regi Trio are in the back 3 slots, the opponent is weak to Normal, Steel, Rock, Ice, and Fighting-type moves.
That battle was the hardest of all, especially if U really wanted to catch them!!! (Dialga or Palkia)
@Bobbydazzler94 he lost his memory after Palkia attacked him. He couldn't remember if he was good or evil, so became evil by accident. His memory is restored once you beat the shit out of him to stop him from breaking Temporal Tower or distorting space again, and he is recruitable in "post-post-game".
i love that 2nd part of the song!!
Really nice, 5 stars! I wish I could play this song on piano...
same
@groudonkingjoyguy
I made it a point to do that with EVERY Pokemon in Diamond (I failed with the Lake Trio, though, and used Dusk Balls and Quick Balls), and now i'm doing it again in HeartGold! For Legendaries, they're a bit easy.
Well, it's actually intended to...
The "Dia" in DIAlga stands for Diamond.
It could also be a reference to a sun dial.
I personally think that the development team worked harder on Dialga, because it appears far more often in the side games, and beacause time control is a far more interessing power than "pallalel worlds control"...
But when I think back to it...
That's it, Plakia is now my favorite! Why? Because parralel dimentions ROCKS!!!
first of all the alto cleft is the cleft used for instruments with a pitch lower than treble cleft but higher than bass cleft
most notably the viola (which happens to be the instrument i play :D)
second i too caught dialga in a quick ball
i wanted to get rid of it and when i saw dialga didn't break out immediately i thought he was gonna break out at the last second but to my surprise i caught him in a quick ball :D !
yay me!
A really easy way to catch Palkia is with a net ball since it's part water type. If you've given some damage to the Palkia, it almost never fails!
so far this is the best
If Dialga/Palkia existed in the RBY/GSC versions, THIS is what the battle music would sound like...
@PikminPie890 Electrode, for one... That is, if you've got the national dex, then you can catch a voltorb near canalave in a swarm. You can catch electabuzz near sunyshore without the nat'l dex.
@PikminPie890 In theory, yes. I suggest you have a quick claw just in case, unless its speed is above 120 or something like that. Electrode is one of the best ones to work with because of it's insane speed.
@dinodude1100 his gut, several to his torso and lower abdomen...
"I don't even need a Giratina. Hoothoot is enough. Prove it with Aerial Ace."
Giratina, in one last attempt, flew at Hoothoot with a final Seismic Toss, but Hoothoot used the same strategy as the first Seismic Toss along with the trainer performing an artificially-formed Aurora Beam...
The next day, this trainer walked back into town to announce his discovery of Giratina.
dun na na na na na!!!! love this song!! 5 stars!!
@PikminPie890 actually you don't need to start with a Pokemon faster than Mesprit below Lv.50, you can just have a Pokemon above Lv.50(maybe Lv.55-60, as level doesn't entirely affect stats, it just raises them.) that knows Mean Look or Block so Mesprit can't flee, and then use not very effective moves like Fighting/Psychic-type.
@dinodude1100 104 years after the "Original One" created everything and fell asleep, Giratina decided he would go looking for a worthy trainer. The world's human population was only 80,000 though, so he didn't want to be seen. He waited another 639 years and found the perfect trainer. The trainer was obsessed with power, though...
This trainer sent out a Lv. 87 Hoothoot, which had been forcibly taught Ice Beam, thanks to the extraction of life force from an innocent Buneary who is now dead.
Pokemon itself hasn't been around that long (1996)
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl hasn't even hit 2 years yet, but its close.
@xxBlueDragon19xx DUDE, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU PULLED THAT OFF!! YOU LUCKY LITTLE PUNK!!!!!
instead of commenting on a joke like the idiots before me, this is a good mix! keep it up
@TheLittleMan123 i used masterball on giratina so i had to use timer balls on the others!
this EPICLY AWSOME
@dinodude1100 "Think about it, though," said the trainer, "The mist did something a Spiritomb can't. Where are the trees it flew through?"
Indeed, those trees were gone, and from above you could see the mist made a pattern, consisting of writing:
"Fuck you."
Everyone looked at Giratina in astonishment. Then, suddenly, the corpse floated up, and more purple mist flew out of the hole in the arm, then a head. The corpse disappeared, but not what was inside it.
Giratina had become Ghost+Dragon.
@dinodude1100 Giratina then took a look at the Spiritomb statue as the rubble slammed together again. The Spiritomb statue, upon self-repair, released an army of 65 Spiritomb, all of which were eaten by Giratina, then the statue's eyes glowed red...
The statue pulled itself outta the ground, as a Rock+Ghost Spiritomb. Now, imagine a living statue of a wild pokemon facing the new form of another wild pokemon. 2 wild pokemon fighting.
Guys, it's a freaking game! Not real so they are not the god of anything. Just enjoys this dudes masterpiece :)
@Moonkitvelvet all you need is high level pokemon (and by high i mean like, 60-80) and you can probably catch legendaries with a POKE BALL!
Yep, level comparison juices up the catch rate.
Now that I think about it...Dialga's special abilitiy should have been something like Time stop... A 20% chance that the opponent skips a turn when Dialga is brought out of its pokeball. Pressure isnt exactly a great ability for legendaries.
@andm1997 hmm...now that you mention it...but I never thought I'd "mess up" so I only ever saved between members of the elite four.
@acau77 whenever i play pokemon battle revolution in a double battle the announcer always has shock and surprize when he says the first pokemon's name and is calm when he says the second.
Announcer: in the red corner. Pikachu?!?!?... arceus... and in the blue corner... Scyther?!?!?... giratina...
garmo: i always lol when he is shocked to see the common pokemon but isn't to see the legendaries...
Announcer: in the red corner. Magikarp?!?!?... magikarp...
AWESOME pokemon d/p rules awesome vid
@brianLED REALLY?!?! CAUSE THIS IS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!! and nostalgic
@EatAnOctorok sorry dude
foretunately,i never used my master ball in any legendary, used other balls and caught every legendary avialable(except regigigas)
azelf- ultra ball
mesprit- ultra ball
uxie- poke ball
palkia- quick ball
heatran- timer ball
cresselia- timer ball
giratina- dusk ball
oh and got a jirachi trough mystery gift,it is in a cherish ball
one word:EPIC!
Ohh wow awesome video!!!!
I'm going to play this on the piano like the actual DS game/SSBB version =D
need to write out the notes though
thanks for this...
It really helps coz I don't know which notes are played in the original version (wayy too fast for my ears)
Oh snap.... oh snappp... OHHHH MY GOSHHH!!
nice!!
congrats we will let u know when we actualy start careing
one word: nice job!
oh wow awesome video!!!
1:53 - 2:03 Absolutely beautiful! 5/5
@ShadowSam13 I'm suddenly getting flashbacks of chuggaconroy's pokemon lps and the way he screamed when he caught zapdos in a pokeball
Very nice man. Keep it up ^_^
Really great!
@dinodude1100 Aerial Ace, and landing with another forcibly taught move, Earthquake. Giratina still never felt better, and proved this with an incredible Dragon Claw, which Hoothoot just stood and took.
"Impressive, for something that never practiced." The Hoothoot's owner would say, "But so far, you've STILL done nothing."
Giratina, angry from that insult, lunged at the trainer with Giga Impact. But the trainer just stood there as Giratina just bounced off his face and slid along the ground.
@ryu5253 on platinum i caught both dialga and palkia with repeat balls while not having other palkia or dialga in my boxes or pokedex so basically i actually caught both with normal pokeballs
Lucky? It's unheard of. If you're not a cheater (which I like to give people the benefit of the doubt about), then you're certainly on one of the most insane lucky streaks I've ever heard of.
And for palkia, a 20% chance that the opponent damages itself with it's own move, or something like that.
I have the original version on my mp3 and its really close to it.When i hear a boss battle theme from a rpg i just want to play it.i cant wait for Heartgold/Soulsilver!
EPIC EARGASM!!
geez im watching all of these mario paint composers!! damn how do u do it?? 5/5
OMG, this is too hilarious. 5 stars from me.
lol that was really funny.
(Btw: I prefer the Uxie Battle Song Myself)
As awesome as this theme is, the battle never lasts long enough for me to fully enjoy it. I just played through Pearl right before buying Platinum and the Plakia/Giratina fight lasted only 3 turns each which consisted of one turn to weaken, one turn to fail the catch and the last turn actually getting it.
I agree with ShadowsofYesterday. That is kinda outta the ordinary, but nonetheless, nice job. :)
i was going to catch dailga with a master ball but my little brother scared me from behind and i used my pokeball instead of my master ball and caught it. best time of my life.
wow ! you have a talent !
u took da words right outta my mouth
@EatAnOctorok
yep,fery few times though
im gonna catch regigigas after i get all 3 regis
since i have 3 master balls(1 original,2 got trough trade)
ill think i will use one, speaking of masterballs
i was thinking in catching giratina in one,but i decided to go the old fashion way
that reminds me (before i lost it)in my ruby version,i got latios in a dive ball
@brianLED ur a NATURAL at this!!!
this vid kicks ass!
