His career has always thrived on drama, he’s just on the other side, defending the influencers who got exposed.
As Tana, JS and Jake Paul have proven though, the ones he chooses to make excuses for are too attention-hungry, greedy and toxic to stay out of trouble, and with each additional scandal they chip away at his “credibility”. Technically there were receipts to prove that James was lusting after young, straight, and sometimes taken men. There have been quite a few that came out about James flirting with them and making them feel uncomfortable. There are also receipts for this to be proved true, so James isn't as innocent as everyone makes him out to be. He's also had his fair share of scandals like other beauty gurus. Another thing people tend to forget is that Tati gave James the career he has now. She was the one that supported him since the beginning, and even kick-started his makeup career. She saw potential in him, which is why she supported him since the beginning. He even admitted at one point that Tati was like a mother to him. Although he never seemed to appreciate that, but for some reason people like to paint him out to be such an "innocent" person when he isn't. Lastly, I'm aware that none of this excuses adults practically pushing a teen to suicidal thoughts, I'm just stating these things so everyone takes them into account.
