It took half the book to get the guys to ride out of town. 😂 That made me laugh. Probably not a book I’d pick up just based on the pace, but your other reads sounded interesting.
Yes, the Ox-Bow Incident was tedious, especially in the first half of the book. But it did have a worthy message about jumping to conclusions without investigating the facts.
"Trekking" is just a fancy way of saying "backpacking," which is something I liked doing when I was young. But he was doing it alone and in cold weather, which was crazy, but it helped him get past a difficult time in his life.
I love memoirs! But you might not like the ones I'm reading about men in the Bitterroot Mountains, as there's lots of hunting/trapping etc. in there. You know how the mountain men are - they think they'll die without being able to eat steak. I'm reading the books as I'm interested in the Bitterroot Mountains, and because I like to read stories of wilderness survival.
Nice hat. Looks good on you. ENJOYED the sharing of your recent reads. I know all the authors but have not read all of them. Sort of hard to recall which titles I have actually read as years ago. I think my husband has read a few of those too. Thanks for the share!
Thank you! After I made the video I realized that hat probably isn't even made of real straw. I think it is make of some kind of plastic that resembles straw. I definitely want to get a different hat before next June on the Range. It is a fun reading event, for once a year.
I didn’t know you had a channel … following now 😊
Thanks for subscribing!!
Love the hat! I wish I hadn't watched True Gritt I would like to read it but I kind of know the story. Great month of June unarrange for you.
Yes, June on the Range is one of the Booktube events I like best!! I need a new hat.

What a great month. I also read Flint and True Grit 😊
I hope you liked True Grit as much as I did. I think I remember you mentioning it.
You had a great reading month in June! I am jealous! Lol
None of these books were very challenging to read... nothing like The Lord. lol ... but it was a fun reading month.
Lost on Purpose sounds crazy! I of course added it to my virtual tbr. My library doesn't have it. You got a lot of books read! Well done.

You got through a lot of Westerns, and books. You are encouraging me to check out some memoirs. 😊👍

@@Eldertalk I agree. Maybe not the mountain men !!!

@@Eldertalk Just consider it a fun hat til you get the one you really want. I still think it looks good on you! Keep up the good work!
True Grit was such an interesting book. I watched it after reading it. I liked the movie, but definitely got more from the book.
True Grit will stay in my heart and memory for a long time. It is very rare for a book to be so good it makes me want to watch the movie versions.
I've seen both movie versions of True Grit, and I would like to read the book at some point. Lost on Purpose sounds interesting as well.
Good to see you; would love to see you make more videos! Both books are very good.
