We finally get round to answering your UA-cam related questions this week. We get quite a few fairly regularly and thought we'd answer them all in a bit more detail in a video.
So if you are wondering if its worth the effort to set up and grow a UA-cam channel, what it's like dealing with trolls, how it effects your mental health, where we want to take the channel, and the big one, how to make money on youtube and how much we make? Then we cover it all in this video!
When we started our channel it was all about our van build of our self converted campervan, it's now progressed to a female van life travel series, sometimes with a bit of comedy thrown in, and along the way we've gathered loads of you who want to come along on that journey with us. So we want to make sure we share as much as we can about that journey, and a huge part of it is our experience on UA-cam!
We get so many questions about being vanlife youtubers from you lot, that we wanted to include you in that part of the journey too, as I know some of you are also thinking about trying to earn a full time income from vlogging.
So whether you are interested as you are thinking of starting a channel yourself, or if you're just a nosy parker (and that's fine), or you're wondering if you can make money on UA-cam, then this is the video for you!

I’m an Irish woman living in Canada on the brink of a small town . Our home backs onto a huge creek with a forest and a river. There are all sorts of wild life, deer / stags , fox’s, beaver, cayotes, plus lots of birds, wild turkeys, oreoles, hawks , eagles , robins , geese, My husband grows all sorts of veggies. Onions , spuds, beets, tomatoes, brussell sprouts and a variety of herbs.

You have do so so well and grown with consistent videos great editing and story telling . This is how it should be done and is is how to do it . Your channel is of value and gives what the audience wants and your both doing great . You see so many people out there who just obsess about the vanity metric of numbers and subs and beating other channels but instead of working hard and making videos people want to watch they head out and buy buy buy views subs and even comments . And it’s so sad to see it done and believe me it stands out like a saw thumb when people do it cos the numbers just don’t add up and the comments done make sense . But you I look at and you see how much hard work you put in to the channel bravo it’s a credit to you both . You know I love data and data don’t lie . This is one channel that proves good content wins . Keep it up lady’s

Good content and effort is deffo the way to go, although as you probably know, it sucks sometimes when you put in all that effort and some shit video just flies!! I'm a firm believer in growing slowly and genuinely tho, best way in the end.

You are always honest showing the good, bad and boring of full time van life and don't come across like some channels as just being on a big jolly. And I just love the humour. You all take me along on a life I wish I could do, but it was not for me due to mostly my ptsd especially after my camper was attacked whilst I was in it. Really interesting video. I did think about starting a UA-cam channel showing the stuff my partner Tamsin and I do and I admit that being in a same sex relationship and the troll issue worried me. It was nice to hear that there wasn't too much abuse. When I did have a little go just trying to film myself fixing a big bench power supply I thought I was going to electrocute myself concentrating on the filming. It's bloody hard work so much appreciation for putting in the huge amount of effort required.
If you want to do it, I would and if you don't like it you can stop, that's the best part as it's just for fun and no pressure you can stick at it or not 😁😁

Girls I only discovered your Chanel last night and have spent a cold dark wet weekend following your journey. I started with your latest video and worked my way back, then got desperate to see how it all began and went back about 2 years ….jumping in and out now of various videos and this one is really interesting because it has questions I asked Louise on another video re her skills. We have a converted ambulance which has a lot of welding needing done, I would really love to be able to do welding, joinery work, electrics (my boyfriend cut a wire 💁🏻♀️and now the battery dies) …With so many things I’d love to learn and do (I’m 56 ) I’m exciting for the future ..much love to you both ❤️🏴🥂

kudos for showing your youtoob creator info, and being upfront with how you finance your van life... personally I see Patreon as a way for your viewers to show their support, not so much the need for a secondary feed so don't get bent out of shape trying to come up with new content.

Love your attitude, down to earth. Bradley sometimes gets upset with negative comments, I always tell him not to take any notice...He just wants to get to 1000 subs (unfortunately he has no patients). At the moment we are on a campsite in Cheltenham so not a lot to make videos about, but we are off travelling again next week (Spain, Portugal, Morocco etc) So videos will be in abundance , If I can drag Bradley away from his PS4 long enough.

I would say you are underrating the build videos. The insulation video, the battening video, the cladding, the flooring - all of them are really priceless - specially because Louise went into sufficient detail to understand the processes involved. I found them really useful and am really grateful for all the time and effort you've put into making them

I’m building my van at the moment, stripped it out of the previous owners plywood and shelving and starting on insulation. Long way to go. Thanks for your inspiration and also love watching you because you and your humour remind me of my daughter and her wife. Sadly my daughter died of cancer two years ago. LOVED this one, but I really enjoy all of your UA-cam content. I was really interested to hear about the importance of the thumbnails and titles, becuase I consiously search out your videos rather than going by anything else. The only thing I use the titles for is to remind myself what the video was about!
