So the day finally came where I got to take the VFR800 out for a spin, not the ideal road conditions or weather but the bike performed amazingly and lived up to all my expectations.

MOTOUREV - Motorcycle Tours & Reviews:
We are 4 motorcycle enthusiasts from the West Midlands who video document 'Motovlog' our motorcycle tours and product testing. We capture the riding journey, views and opinions of the items we are using, as well as some of the fun and situations we experience along the way. We might be a small group but our sense of humour is pure comedy with characters such as Goose making many one liner jokes.
Bikes we ride: Honda CBR900RR Fireblade - Suzuki GSF Bandit 1200 - Yamaha Tracer 900 - BMW G650GS

Love my VFR
Bought new in 2008, 12 years and 50k miles later - I’m still in love
Amr Radwan they certainly seem keepers, cheers for support👊🏻
I have the candy glory red version. Love it! I get it fully loaded for camping trips and its superb on country lanes.. real joy to ride.. couldn't really hear the bike as the music was overpowering it. Id lose that for future vids of this kind.. 👍👍
Sullener Zoo I love the candy red 😍
I'd lose the background music, V4 sound is all you need!! Did you mention camping?? in February??
No regrets then ?! ;-) hehe
rem: background music isn't necessary, especially with a vfr ! :)
Your joy and happiness really came through...roll on dry sunny days Bro 🤘
As we get a little older, the need for speed wanes and we seek out the pleasures of simple comfort. You have made a wise choice of bike for both body and mind! 😀👍👌
100% agree ❤️🤘🏻
You have made the right choice there. The V.F.R 800 Is a lovely bike and your going to have plenty of years of fun to come it's a ideal bike for a day's blast or a long Tour enjoy
just bought a 2004 recently, fun bike sounds so good, still hurts my wrists even with risers, not as young these days (52) my main bike is a GS adventure so a bit of a different feel
Awesome reminds me of my 1st ride on my vfr.. again.. because of Richy.. she took me across America without missing a beat.. amazing machine! Good choice mate 👍🏍
Velocity Biking cheers mate, a big step from a Fireblade but comfort won
Welcom to the VFR love club. I have two a 98 pre vtech and a 03 vtech and i love them both.
Stephen Hartshorn you lucky man 😍
Only mod that's necessary on that bike is a "Soundbomb Horn" ridiculously loud...gets attention when you need it....tucks in nicely right behind the left Fairing (clutch handle side) in the upper corner so it's hidden away...easy to install yourself.
Best thing I ever put on any bike ...currently owner of a 2005 VFR800...love it.
Steve o cheers bro will keep that in mind 👊🏻
I went from an R1 2010 to a 1999 vfr800 and I couldn't believe the difference in comfort. Also, of course you some lose top end power but the vfr is more grunty between 3-5k; much more useable on the road. Glad you like your vtech model. Imo, for 80% of the time, these bikes are far better to ride than full on sports bikes.
Boy Bergs fully agree, I loved my blade but it didn’t love W over long distance. Best decision I’ve made ❤️
Happy new bike, she looks lovely 👍
I'm picking up an 07 vfr in a few days, I couldn't be more excited. I'm coming from cruisers so I'm expecting it to be a big adjustment
Did you get one?
@@eric62backstrom i did! Got an 07 25th anniversary edition with 13k miles. I'm about to hit 30k miles now, been a great bike with only minor complaints
@@christianhodges685 awesome buddy! are you part of the vfr groups on Facebook?
@@eric62backstrom I am, but tbh i haven't found them super useful other than the bst. Lots of videos and other info online tho
Awesome. Bought a low miler in the cherry red last month. Love it.
That’s my fav colour, been thinking of getting mine painted that colour but means getting luggage done too
Just picked up a 2007 vfr800. 58K miles, a few scratches on it and a real crappy exhaust. Looking forward to bringing it it back to its former glory. Putting on a new set of Delkevic cans, Heli bars, and a new paint job (for now). Still undecided as to what colour. First time I rode it, I fell for it! Will definitely be a keeper for me. Nice bike mate, enjoy your riding as its the best therapy for your health (mental and soul) out there.
Perfect therapy 🤘🏻 I love the candy red vfr’s looks stunning
Impressed with your restraint down the Halesowen bypass, I nearly always get overtaken by the urge to tear arse down there! :) Love the bike mate and roll on some dry weather...
Hi and very nice bike too. I remember comeing across Richy page and his VFR and i as started to watch the videos i loved it too. Not had a bike in over 20 years and August 2019 bought a Black VFR800 with full honda luggage. And wow great bike the vtec sound the exhuast too and the V4 wow. Not been too far yet on it but cant wait for summer. And i did put some new boots on had ro copy Richy for this some road 5 and wow good tyres wet dry damp love them so welcome to the club lol.
guy stevens cheers mate much appreciated. Yep I had a 19 gap too. Come join us one day for a ride... if your UK based 🙈👍🏻
Yes be good too am in nottingham not far from Richy lol.
She looks mighty fine mate!
Great to watch your first ride defo made the right choice there.
Look forward to the camping vids, ride safe 👍
Nice looking bike and capable of any kind of trips ! Can’t wait till you take it on some trips !!!! Congrats man ! Sweet color as well 🤘🏽
ANONYMOUS BIKER USA cheers bruv 👊🏻
VFR is a great all round bike. 👍👍
Really pleased to hear how happy you are with it mate, I think you made a grand choice! :-)
you will love her.I bought my 2009 VFR800 in 2915 with 2452 miles on the clock. now around 24k. Only mods i have done is to fit bar risers and Delkavic exhaust. @ 34k on the clock, she should of recently had the valve clearances checked
BigBadLoneWolf yeah gonna get the bar risers too, did you notice the difference they made
@@Motourev takes a lot of weight off your wrists, as it lets the wind hit your chest, also less back ache
If you decide to change the exhaust, you will need to remove all the luggage racks, number plate, and its light and undo the bolts on the rear mudguard to get the original cans off, as they are 1 piece down to the connection just behind the right footpeg
BigBadLoneWolf thanks for info, very helpful
Lovely bike, I am considering one myself, having had a 2000 Honda CBR929 Fireblade. Just one suggestion: kill the music, let us listen to the bike's sound.
Great video mate have you gave her a name yet bet you can't wait for the summer
She's a beauty....enjoy.
Know this video is a year old but, just watched it, could see you were agonizing over wether to sell the blade so made up for you. Your obviously very happy with the VFR. Ride safe 👍
I love the VFR best decision I’ve ever made bike wise 🤘🏻
She's a great looking bike brother
💯✌️😎
Just up the road from me mate (Kiddy). I gave up motorcycling 11 years ago but now this is the bike I want to get me back into it. You just got a new subscriber. All the best mate.
Thanks Terry welcome aboard. Yeah I had a 19 year gap between bikes. Will come for ride when you get a bike 🏍🤘🏻
@@Motourev Nice one mate. It's a date :-)
@@terryrees8574 😂🤘🏻 we are often at Barnetts Hill garden centre and round stourport
@@Motourev I'll look out for the lovely grey Viffer mate and give you a shout.
It may be a while until I get another bike but enjoying the vids.
@@terryrees8574 cheers mate 🏍🤘🏻
Great bike,enjoy
Glad your enjoying the VFR, hope you get some decent weather to try it out properly 🤘🤘
John Burnet 🤞🏻 next weekend please
Congrats on the new bike! what model tank bag is that and does it stick in your chest/stomach? I can see it is a givi but model?
I own both a 91 vfr750 with 50k and an 05 vfr800 with 15k. I have run cbr600s and 900rrs, and the vfr is my favorite...
Enlightened Idiot yep I’m fully converted
Sounds like you are loving the new bike, for me music was too loud but I guess it was high to hide the crackling from the mike.
Nice ride brother,
Well done mate, glad you made the right decision ;-)
Reckon Goose will be up for one now ???
Ride Safe Baza ;-)
Hate the back pegs the wife won't get on.
On the plus side I get to go on my own quite a lot.
Mine is a 99 aniversary model with the gears instead of cam chain.
Good bike!
Anyone would think the FireBlade was a track oriented superbike :)
Man in sky made vfr got 3 ot them perfect bike.
A dream to ride 🤘🏻
Just bought a 2008 and it s a great bike. Your luggages are from honda ones ?
Yes mine are Honda luggage. They are great bikes.
Subscribed! Good independent content :)
Thank you 👍🏻
Interesting video, well done really enjoyed it. I have been in a similar situation some years ago. Had a hayabusa for 10 years but became unrideable due to back pain etc. Took the horrible decision to change to something else. Went to a tracer 900. Love it because I can ride pain free.. Keep up the great work.
Phillip Lum thanks mate for support. Yeah that age thing that’s catches up with us 🙈
when you clean up your exhaust pipes do a little video for it :)
Alex Shapland will do mate 👍🏻
Defo a bit of harpic ;) - congrats btw.
Beautiful😍😍😍💯👌🏼🍀🙏🏼
Hit a deer on my ‘01 and messed myself up, still miss that bike
TheBen Dover 😮
Nice vid but I'd suggest losing the music
Thanks for the comment
Perez Anthony Lewis Jose Moore Donna
Couldn't watch because of the continually annoying backround music.
😂 I’m glad you jogged on
@@Motourev haha nice comeback!
