    Never seen good ole muskoka free rider? That’s a normal every other day for his groups, he’s takes a group of 11 through creeks up drainages like that. With his mid 60 year old dad👍👍

    13:45 You can never really tell how steep it is, but the trees give a pretty accurate indication. I think most people would find it nearly impossible to hike straight up that in the summer.

    Loved the exploring episode!! Need more of them. It would be cool to show your planned exploration route then follow through with it and capture it on video!

      Ha ha. In this case planned vs. actual was very difficult when we could not find where we really wanted to be. We had planned to go to this steep slope int he trees with lots of big fallen logs and obstacles but we had not previously marked its location. Perhaps we will find it again tomorrow? :)

    I've watched most of your videos and I think I enjoyed this one the most! 11 minutes in had my saying 'oh fuck oh fuck!' in my head each creek crossing! Got me excited for snowbike season!!

      Ah, there is a secret way to tell. Scott (orange) has red tape on the top of his GPS holder, Andrew does not.

    Damn! So many times I was sure you had no where to go, just a dead end of trees you couldn’t make it through. And you just kept going! Maybe it’s just the view the camera provides, but I just don’t think I go through stuff like that on my snowbike. Maybe I do and don’t realize it because my eyes have a better view than the camera provides maybe.

      Thanks for the comment! I feel like we have rounded a corner in what we are able to ride. We don't get as sketched out when things get tight.

    Great video guys just wondering what kind of GoPro you guys are using and what kind of chin mounts you found the best

    • @VernonSnowMX
      @VernonSnowMX  3 роки тому +1

      We currently have Hero 7 Black on Dango chin mounts. Solid set-up but I plan to try the DJI action camera the next time they offer something new.

    What are you doing to your front end suspension? Are you all stock on the front forks? Ever tried just adding some air to the stock Husq shocks? If you do run the stock air shocks have you ever blown the seals?

    • @dirtchimps4x4division92
      @dirtchimps4x4division92 3 роки тому

      Stiffer springs. Adding air is good as well. No troubles yet, on any of our bikes (current or historic).

    How many running hours you have per snow season? And how regularly do you check your engine after running in snow? Once a season? Once per 2 seasons? Thank you.

    • @VernonSnowMX
      @VernonSnowMX  3 роки тому +1

      I don't know how many hours of engine time each season. Andrew could likely answer that one. I do know that we go oil changes every 6 rides.

    What GPS do you guys have/recommend?

    • @VernonSnowMX
      @VernonSnowMX  3 роки тому

      We use Garmin 610s but we are rarely happy with them. On this ride the North direction would spin every time we stopped as the internal compass is weak. We have had battery and screen problems in the past. Nobody seems to make a better unit though, at least not anything that we have found.
