I installed the same kit on my JT Rubicon without loosening the track bar or control arms at all. Saved a lot of time and everything went smooth. I love the look on mine. Installed 35 in Nitto Trail grapplers and they look great! Totally agree that Tera flex is the way to go
Really good video and glad that we have people who add even more pointers in the comments. Thank you
I put this on my Sport as well and worked out great. The Sports don't have near as much clearance on front to begin with so gave me what I needed.
Were you able to fit 35s after the level kit?
I think the step to loosen the control arms is so the bushings don't bind when you raise the jeep back up. I will be installing this kit soon, thanks for the great video.
Awesome video. I'm a little OCD and was impressed that the before and after video was in the exact place. Teraflex does put out some awesome products.
Thanks for the supporting the channel Michael!!! I really do try to cover everything I would want to know if I were considering or installing something. As the channel grows my intent is to still provide that level of detail, but try to add a little more entertainment value! LOL!
Thank you, I used this video in addition to the teraflex instructions last weekend. Very helpful.
Thank you for the feedback!!! I’m glad you found it helpful!!! Thank you for supporting the channel as well!
Was curious how the shocks are holding up? Have you had to get an extender or were they okay the way they were? Thanks!
I love when the roof is painted. Looks so cool. I'm gona paint my roof. Hate he black roof. Sick truck.
Looks way better with the leveling kit!!!!
Your before and after pic lined the leveled JT up with the video progress bar and yup, it's perfectly level!
Great video. Thanks for your strap recommendation at the end. Ran into the same thing and your strap solve fixed my problem too!
That’s awesome!!! Thanks for the feedback and support of the channel! So glad to hear the strap trick worked for you too!
What was the issue?
Great Install
Thanks for the instruction. Good video sir.
Absolutely, happy to help! Thank you for supporting the channel!!!
Great video!
Looks awesome!!!!
Thank you!!!
Very detailed thanks
You bet!!! Thank you for watching and supporting the channel!
well done. thanks!
Did you have to get an alignment? Looks good - I plan on keeping my 33’s just going to a more aggressive tread- good video!
did you find it that the ride was a little bit hard stiff after the install? I installed a spacer kit lift kit on the jl that I had ,since the pucks were just hard material every time I would hit a pothole or a speed bump I would feel it,the contact of the metal and the plastic. was is soft still ?I know the gladiator fox suspension is really soft
do you need to add the shock extension on this kit? I have the ecodiesel and I am putting a bumper and winch so I think it will be lower than 1.5" after that weight plus te diesel but I am a bit worried about overextending the shocks which are from a rubicon fox 2.0s
Doesn’t the ride get more stiff on the road when leveling for rubicon?
If the gap is 8.75” upfront and 7.5” for rear after the install would putting an inch for the rear ( 7.5+1=8.5) making it leveled? Do you know if those spacers work for the rear?
Yeah it’s higher in the rear stock, but that looks much better than the rear sagging once you put weight in the back. It only takes a couple hundred pounds of payload to level the thing out.
.
This and airbag helpers would be great though.
Quick question brother. Has nothing to do with what you’re talking about but hope you might know, based on what you did to your truck.
I have a 2021 Stock Gladiator Willys edition. One thing that I’ve noticed, whenever the truck sits for a long period, let’s say overnight 8/10 hours. In the morning, when I start slowing down and come to a stop, I hear this weird sound, almost as the spring “crunches” as it compresses and again when I take off and decompresses. After driving a while, it won’t do it again and it won’t do it if I stop hard and take off quickly. Would you have any idea what it might be?
Thank you.
Bought this kit from ET and had a shop install it. Drivers side spring seems to bow out towards tire. Ride and hight is dead on just worried it's not normal.
Great video. Helped a ton putting the 1.5" yesterday. I also realized you don't need a rachet strap if you up the axle with floor jack while on jack stands such that the track bolt will align. Don't tighten it but it will allow you to seat it.
QQ: Track bolt torque was 52ft-lb + 155°. How do you 155°?
Thanks Soumen, glad it was helpful! That torque value means you torque it a 155 degree rotation past 52 ft-lbs.
Will I be able to fit 35s on a sport s with this mod? Or will I still need more clearance
Nice! Any issues with shocks over extending? Rougher ride? Or ride likes stock? I’m thinking of doing the 1” spacer. Thanks.
Hey Ezio! I’ve had zero issues with mine. The ride has remained the same.
Awesome video...just answered some of my questions and concerns. How is it holding up so far?? Are the shocks still working out?
Thanks for the feedback Curtis!!! Everything is perfect so far! No issues whatsoever!
after seeing the difference from before and after i'm excited on doing mine now! Question: did you or can you adjust the lights now?
I didn’t adjust them, but you certainly can!
well done Seth! good content! Very thorough.
Thank you!!! I really appreciate the support and tips you shared with me the other day!
@@21SethG you bet man! You did a great job. i am now considering the 1.5" Teraflex kit. I didnt realize they were adjustable stage heights. I was considering going with the 2" Mopar, paired with the 3/4" Daystar spacer at all 4 corners. A few other Texas guys in the FB groups are running that combo and it looks outstanding with 37's and will more than suit my on and off road needs. Ive been reading alot about the adjustable track bar and pan hard bar relocation bracket, and will consider upgrading them to keep as close to stock tolerances as possible. Aparantly its shifts the axle over 3/4" -1" from factory. Youd think they'd include something like that in their kit as much as it costs compared to others. I am still on the fence about what tire size i plan to go with next, 35 or 37 though, especially with a manual as well as wanting to keep my stock black aluminum wheels. I didnt purchase the gladiator based on its expected fuel economy (currently 19-22mpg), but i definitely want to maintain some of it. So maybe 35's will take the cake? or ill just bite the bullet and do 37's with the plan to regear to 4.88's. who knows. Keep it up man, looking forward to the next mod. I should have my manual review up soon.
I'm looking forward to following your build as well! I didn't realize from your 67 Designs video that you had a manual. Interested to see your review! I was also wrestling with 35's or 37's, but have landed on 37's for me. I had 35's on my JK and always wanted 37's. LOL! I'm personally trying to wait on Teraflex to release a full kit, but not sure how patient I can be...
@@21SethG i hope they release a full kit as well. They were one of my expected installs when the JT first released. I guess we will see. Do you have any regear plans?
Yes, I plan do regear that same as you mentioned above, 4.88's.
I'm about to get this kit. Wish they made a 2in. I have the sport S max tow, but I picked up some Rubicon springs and shocks last week. I was told the Rubi springs give you another 1/2in to 1in as well.
You’ll definitely like the kit! I didn’t realize the Rubi springs would give you that much additional height, that’s awesome!!!
Wouldn't it be relative, if it gave you .5" to 1" inch on the front and back you'd still only need the 1.5 "spacer to get level regardless...
Elliott C he’ll catch on lol, just hopefully not the hard way
Yeah, this looks good gotta be cheap.I’m gonna do it
You won’t regret it!!!
Did you have to align the front end or was it good because of it being a solid axle? any tire wear from this?
I didn’t align it and haven’t had any issues at all.
looks good bro does the springs get stiffer which is good thing less body roll
Thank you!!! I haven’t really noticed a difference in the ride.
That is a great and informative video. My only question is: is a front end alignment necessary after installation?
This will be my only modification to the suspension because no.1, it rides too good now and no.2, I'm 60 and too old and sore to climb in lifted Jeeps anymore. My JT Sport came with a lot of extras since I bought it in 2020 including a hitch, trailer wiring, great sound system and remote start. I've so far only changed the bumpers to have steel front and rear. Next is flat flairs after the leveling kit and that's all. This is my fifth Jeep
I’m 60 also and just bought a JT Rubicon. Don’t want to go too high on a lift coz it’s getting harder and harder to get into it especially when I have to carry my 65 pound boxer dog on her daily trips to the park. This lift is what I’m going to get. Maybe 35” tires down the road.
@@CarlosVazquez-bk1zi I have 35's on stock suspension. I'll level it but it rides way to good to change
Did the steering wheel need straightening after install? Great video!
No Sir, mine did not. Thank you!!!
Is it still holding up with no issues?
Are you still satisfied with the Tera Flex leveling spacers? Any issues? Any popping or weird noises? Did the ride change? Did it make the front stiffer or bouncy when encountering bumps and uneven pavement? Thanks.
I’m still running it and have had ZERO ISSUES. It’s been great!!!
Did you have to drill any hole for the bump stop into the coil perch?
No, no holes were drilled for the bump stop.
Measurements are taken from center of wheel to bottom of fender. Not from tire to fender
Actually it’s irrelevant as long as what you’re measuring is consistent, so that the comparison accurate. Thanks for the the comment though.
Awesome Jeep. So there’s no need for shock extension with this leveling kit?
Nope! At least not on the Rubicon. Not sure about any other models.
can i add this ontop of my 4.5 inch lift kit?
Yes!
How far did it move the passenger side tire out, as compared to the drivers side tire?
Thanks for the good video.
Was wondering the same thing. If you're using a strap to realign the track bar, the center has to be off
I put mine on without removing bolt on track bar. It doesn’t move tires out, track bar moves as you let it down. I was able to get everything in and out without loosening track bar or control arms
How’s your daily drive so far with the fox shocks?
Hey Victor! So far it’s been great.
Is this gladiator a sport or a rubicon when stock? I know it says rubicon btw but still same question.
Hey Chad! Yes, it’s a Rubicon.
Do you need a new alignment after install? What are the chances of getting the dreaded death wobble after installing these spacers?
I had no issues at all running them for 3 years. I didn’t get an alignment.
i just bouight a 21 gladaitor obverland i want this 1.5 level kit so i cant keep stock shocks n sway bar links plus wife can still get in it as were older folk but still like cool stuff
I have an 21 overland as well... how did your install go? did you gret to keep your original shocks?
@@Coyote5555 yes very easy just installs on bottom of the spring or bottom base its easy alignment was barely adjusted shocks are fine didnt need any extenders but i did upgrade to fox shocks off a rebuicon you can buy new take offs on ebay cheap i bought some with 400 miles for 350 bucks big differnce in ride
@@mikestowe6136 oh man thanks so much Mike, i bet it looks awesome. glad it worked out for you. My turn now, that's the last bit of confidence i needed thanks brother
@@Coyote5555 yep piece of cake the fox shocks do dmpen the bumps alot better less bounceing
@@Coyote5555 u can reuse your stock shocks but i like the fox ones alot better i bought a complete set of take off rebicon fox shocks for 350 bucks
Looks great and forced me to do the same to my JT mojave. I am experiencing a popping sound when pulling out in the morning or after it sits for some time ..almost a metal to metal sound. Any thoughts ?
Are you still hearing popping sounds? I’m wanting to do this to my ‘22 Mojave this weekend. The Mojave’s look pretty level enough so I wouldn’t mind using just the 1” spacer only.
@@johnny1516 hey Johnny yes I am unfortunately... however I am having it looked at tomorrow by the shop who installed and will report back to you 👍🏽
Sounds good man, hope it isn’t anything too serious.
@@johnny1516 Good News! Was just a matter of re-tourqing the LCAs. Drove 150 miles since and no problems ..
@@Jtmojave Glad to hear that! I’ll be installing mine this weekend and be sure to torque mine to specs.
Is this the $99 spacer kit on amazon? I might do this
Yes it is on Amazon for $99. I highly recommend it if you’re not ready to invest invest in a lift or simple don’t want/need a lift. I’ve really enjoyed the leveling kit!
Where is the jacking points for the jack stands?
Any luck you can reply as I am planning to do this myself and there is no good video on jack stands locations when doing a lift.
Hey Soumen! I can tell you how I did it. If you go to the 5:00 minute mark of the video you can visually see where I put my jack stands. Essentially, I placed them on the frame behind the front axle. There’s not a “specific” jack point to my knowledge, because it’s not a unibody vehicle. You may check your vehicle manual to see if it calls out specifically recommended jack points. Hope that helps.
So just to be clear I won’t need to buy shock extensions right? It’s not needed since is less then 2 inches? The guys at the shop here in town keep telling me I need to buy shock extensions, the spacers alone won’t work. 🙃 I’m like you guys are just trying to get over on me. I still have the factory wheels right now.. so the living kit is perfect. Because if I do the 2 inch lift kit my wheels will look too small for my Jeep smh ☠️
I didn’t need shock extensions for my Rubicon. I don’t know if there’s a difference for non-Rubicon Gladiators. If you have a Rubicon, there should be no issue.
Big difference on the ride? Love the ride stock.
No change! Rides the same as stock!
@@21SethG any reason not do go with the full 1.5 vs just 1”?
It’s all preference, but I really like the 1.5” personally.
@@21SethG wonder if it would still be level with just 1”?
Does this effect gas mileage?
no
any noticeable difference in gas mileage with this?
Hey Trevor! I didn’t have any noticeable changes in gas mileage from the leveling kit.
