- We interview Joe about flameless connections at the Parker Sporlan booth at the AHR expo in las Vegas. Joe gives us an excellent demonstration of Zoomlock Max fittings and how to properly make these connections. Joe also shows' us the new Push Refrigerant fittings. Lots of great information here.

I love this tool I would like to be able to use it on plumbing too
the push on fittings are great for a temporary fix. The press fittings look great however I wish the warranty was better.
I will have both zoomlock max and RLS. I like the idea. I have zoomlock max because that's what my company bought. But prefer how RLS press works better. I can solder and braze with the best of them but I see so many not follow proper procedure. I can see this as an advantage for those.
I'm also a licensed plumber, there is a place for everything. Press has it's uses. Brazing will never go away.

I like the idea, but I am skeptical of how long it will last and environmental affects on them. Water plumbing sure. Heat and oil does a number on seals.
By the way I get every referenced one liner you have thrown out there, while some of those guys were like, hu.

I hear you about the points. For me I love a good quality braze with a nitrogen flow but these are here so I want people to be introduced to them. I think there are some situation where they could come in handy. Now days so many companies are slapping units in and out without sizing or fixing duct work. Time will tell
They had a product out 5 years ago. Lol. RLS had it and got it right. They fell out and tried to get back into it. Maybe its worth while but I've heard alot of negatives on the press and am horrified to see the push.
I keeping hearing mixed results. some people love them some hate them. I still love a quality braze but i aknowlege there are other needs and technology and changes happen.
As for the push I use them for component testing.
Pressure testing an evap, or line set. I push them on with a service port pushed in the other side. i can slip it on quickly to pressure test. I can even leave them on while washing a coil or to keep a system dry if i have to get a part.
I'm thinking about putting some on my unit just to see how long they last. Again I love a good braze but its out there so I would like to real world test it.

Does anyone here use them for VRF or multi-zone mini splits? Do they actually save much time?
Case by case basis.
If your in NYC, the cost of hot permits is big, and liability high so this is a great option.
