i’ve been having Kid Icarus Uprising brainrot lately, which means i’ve been seeking out every piece of content i can possibly find on Kid Icarus. and theres not a lot. my main in Smash Bros Ultimate is Dark Pit. it was him 5 years ago, it’s still him now, mixed in with Pit as well. Smash is a gateway series for me, since i’m not the most knowledgeable on gaming, Smash has introduced me to many different franchises and series, like Xenoblade, Punch Out!!, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts. Kid Icarus was one of them, unsurprisingly. i wanted to know more about the origin of the angels which i have beloved in Smash. i was SO EXTREMELY lucky to buy Uprising on my 3DS before the EShop shut down. i ended up adoring the game, the controls weren’t as bad for me as i thought they’d be, and i fell in love with the characters and story. now? it’s my favorite Nintendo game of all time, even more than Smash Ultimate, even more than any Mario or Zelda or Xenoblade or Pokémon or Fire Emblem… … which is as much of a blessing as it is a curse, since this series likes to go dormant for decades at a time. but i’ll stick with it.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl was how I learned about Kid Icarus, its such a great series for that sort of thing! I fully understand what you mean about it being a blessing and a curse though, its a series full of potential but at the same time it's a series that just doesn't get as much love as other Nintendo IPs, sadly.
I was fortunate enough to grow up with touch controls so the controls from Kid icarus were never a problem for me (and I kinda lived the controls tbh). It's probably one of my alltime. favorit games
@@T1nk At the beginning it was a bit worse because of the flicking the screen to move the camera. but after playing the Multiplayer a lot, it got pretty Natural for me. I Like the Land missions more because of the more possibilities movement wise.
@@jonasm.8128 That makes sense. The screen flicking got more natural over time for me but because I was using a mouse and controller set up I knew it was never gonna be great - I wish I could have at least tried it on DS but the game is very hard to come by for a reasonable price! lol
Thank you so much!! I genuinely do recommend it, despite its funky controls! Even if you weren't hugely into the gameplay, the story and dialogue throughout the game alone makes the game worth it :D
while Kid Icarus is Underrated Pit himself thanks to Uprising has been compared to other video game characters like Link(Legend of Zelda) and Sora(Kingdom Hearts)! Fan even made their versions of Palutena Guidence and also use anime characters too!
Still getting used to new mic so a few teething issues here and there, let me know what you think!

I'm glad you liked the controls! Did you find that the land segments felt any better/worse than the air ones?

I’m so glad uprising gave pit more of a spotlight! Maybe some day we can get some more kid Icarus content :D
The new mic sounds great! I've still gotta try this series out, I have uprising but have never played it
Thank you! If you can get past the controls then I would say it is definitely worth your time!
@@T1nk Good news is there's an indie game called Owlboy, it's pacifically based on the original Kid Icarus.
