ah the glory days, before the dismal swamp and the gettysburg engine rupture, now csx wont even let live steam on their rails but back in the day they did, it would sure be a public relations booster, we have steam on the main line for this year but for how much longer how to implement ptc with a manual throttle, and amtrak with an ax man from airlines running the helm of it, not knowing squat about why people ride trains or how to work with railroads, only cost cutting for short term gains, ah how I long for this again to see, well I guess there is always 1225 in Michigan, and if they continue to let us run 765 in the cayahoga valley scenic rr she will run. hope the new headwaters junction pans out so 765 and our other showpieces of the fort wayne rr historical society can be more easy found and have a place to keep her even if she dont get to run wide open for a long span of time on the main line, and we can keep our 400 ton ambassador front and center, to inspire the next generation to keep the old iron horses going, and how to run them, they are living history and ment to keep the wheels moving.
I hope the 765 will head to New Orleans,Louisiana one day!
