This is one of my kid's favorite bands. So I hear it a LOT. The screaming is an acquired taste, like getting used to super spicy food or something. But the "clean" vocals are so friggin stunning, and the lead guitarist is amazing. There's some brilliance in here, for sure. Went with my kids to see them here in Detroit. Some craziness ensued that ended with the drummer going to rehab, but even given the problems, they killed it. I'm a fan as an old-mom.

For me it was the opposite, I was more into non-spicy singing like Tillian which got me into the band initially but when I got more into Jon Mess and the screaming, it introduced me to dirty, screaming vocals and I’m obsessed with this type of grunge singing cause it sounds passionate for any emotion: rage, happiness, excitement, craziness etc.
