Great Band!! They have quite a history with the singers the bassist, if I remember correctly the singer on this song is no longer with the band, so yea but keep reacting to them they have a ton of great songs.
Tilian departed in late in 2023 and was their 3rd singer, now they have Andrew Wells from Eidola, which is another great swan/prog hardcore band! Andrew was constantly already featuring on DGD songs before then anyway :)
These guys were one of my favorite bands at one point, got into them around this era actually. Mothership, Deathstar, Happiness, and Downtown Battle Mountain 2 are beasts of albums if you’re looking for crazy catchy guitar work with absolute absurdity mixed in everywhere Edit: to check out next I’m just gonna leave a few from each album I mentioned Deathstar (self titled) - Caviar (ft Chino Moreno), Uneasy Hearts Weigh the Most Happiness- Carl Baker, Don’t Tell Dave DBM2- Thug City, Elder Goose Mothership- Young Robot, Inspire the Liars
Death star and dtbm 1 into happiness is the best. I love tillian but his era was more poppy but if I had to choose a tillian album it would be artificial selection
Re: Screaming lyrics. John Mess has said on a few interviews that it's a basically a crap shoot combo of relevant to the song/rhythm/alliteration. If the content fits, great. Something he finds interesting that fits rhythmically, even better. He's mentioned Pico di gallo and tomato basil... and also.... Brain brimming through a sea of bats They're nipping chords and spinning webs of rhythm as they flap Are you decalcified but stupid high? Still sad after sex? Did you realize that all this time, your crown was just a hat? Dude is an artist that has perfected his craft. (imho) And just has fun with it.
i think Hollywood is taking about the "breakdowns" when he said those pauses drops whatever actually this terminology it came out most of it from death core bands because they used to using a lot.
Glad I found your channel. Cool stuff! You guys would love Blood Wolf, Head Hunter, or Pop Off from Dance Gavin Dance. Their music is really good and diverse.
Damn lol I never thought I'd see a reaction to Dance Gavin Dance. All the best parties I went to I can't remember, but I definitely don't remember this song. It must be newer🔥🤌🏼🤘🏼
Around 2016, this album and the one after are pretty good but I wasn’t huge on their last two releases, although Afterburner (the album before their most recent) had a lot of cool experimenting on it
Here's a new band to give a listen, if interested. "Level 42 - Love Games (Esitval Jazz, 2nd July 2010)" (by the channel: Level 42) --This song is from their debut album which was released in 1981 by the British group "Level 42" and this is their best-known hit single. It is a jazz-funk and dance floor hit and reached number #38 on the UK pop charts. The debut album is called "Level 42."
The hellbender! Idk how I came across that information but I remember reading about them one time. They must have been in the news or something because they only became our official state amphibian 5 years ago. They are apparently North America’s largest salamanders. Never knew they were also called snot otters though 😆 Looks like they have some at the Pittsburgh Zoo, I might have to go see them lol
Definitely recommend checking out more of their stuff, they have some great musicianship, their guitarist, Will Swan, is one of the best in the game imo!
Kind of, I Jonny Craig (OG singer) was actually wanting to name his last band that. The name has some history with the punk scene of Seattle before becoming the actual name of this Sac-town based band. There’s rumors of a pic on twitter a few years ago where brotha lynch was seen with Dance Gavin Dance

This song is hard. I love it. Im gunna add it to my playlist.😊🎉🖤🤘🔥 The singer's voice has an amazingly good range.
We own the night nuff said
The bass lines in that and also in On The Run may have contributed to my bi awaking lol they have some incredible songs

Inspire the liars is always a go to. It really is a great showcase to all their variety/genre blending
Love that Whisper brings us killer Growls 🤘🏼😎✨
This was a first for both of us but I've heard DgD before and watching y'all groove to it was good
SWANCORE
This the first DGD reaction?

Can we get some more Dance Gavin Dance please?

it's from their mothership album from 2016 so not super old but not new either 🙏
@@repletesphinx21 8 years dude of course it's old
@@golfinothebestband has been a around since 2006 so it’s not that old for them especially since this is their 3rd lead singer.
I used to listen to them A LOT. Not sure when this came out but they kinda fell off my radar. Gonna have to revisit some stuff

@@zdoggzero6595 did they have a song called Turn Off The Lights. I'm Watching Back To The Future or am I confusing them with someone else?
@@PeeWeeGerman1313 they did yes, on both Downtown Battle Mountains
Do “ feels bad man” great song
It's more of jump and pivot while thrashing type of dance. Lol
Gavin is a turtle 🐢 just so you know

Musically they remind of YES, cool stuff, six, smokey tnx guys
Morning guys! This was a Kool song. Makes me think of wage war. They are a little heavier, Same genre? Enjoyed it!🤓👍
Yesssssssss dance gavin dance !!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should check out Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most, one of my favorite songs.
Sik AF!! 🏴☠️☘️
Music reaction channels need some Afghan Whigs.
11:00 more of an r&b mood
They have 2 singers. One does cleans (Tillian)and the other does harsh vocals (Jon). Tillian is no longer with the band but he has an awesome voice.
This singer just left they are now on their fourth singer
You should react to the song greedy fly by bush. But you'd want to watch the video.😊
10:15 it's called breakdowns lol
Band name. Was literally a last minute choice, the least bad option. According to guitarist and founding member Will Swanson.
Kind of, I Jonny Craig (OG singer) was actually wanting to name his last band that. The name has some history with the punk scene of Seattle before becoming the actual name of this Sac-town based band.

Dgd man of the year.. caviar with chino moreno.. and definitely head hunter!!
Please react to Emarosa at some point. Anything off the Relativity album. By far the best work that Jonny Craig did before becoming a giant scumbucket
