My husband with ADHD has this same problem. He once went on a short solo vacation and lost 15 lbs from his already thin frame. He simply forgot to eat much of the time. 😬 A frequent question the kids and I ask when he returns from work each day is "Did you eat or drink anything today? "

As someone in recovery from an eating disorder, I wanted to say THANK YOU for a nutrition video that doesn't demonize different foods!! My heart sank when I heard you mention fast and slow absorbtion carbs, but then I realized you were looking at it as "these different foods have different nutritional purposes" and I couldn't have been happier to hear it! This type of information is SO IMPORTANT, and I'm so grateful to you for this balanced, science-based, and holistic nutrition advice!

I love the way your videos are edited, especially this one! The diff frames of cooking, prepped meals, the various cut fruits and vegetables, the background set up of you talking, the way you’re talking to us (feels like it’s one on one and your voice is always so calming), visuals in general, etc. I also really like the way you explained the process of what protein/carbs are broken down into and how they help with serotonin and sleep. All the efforts of the PUL team are noticed and I’m amazed every time by how everything comes together! Thank you so much for sharing your videos!! You guys are amazing!️

    Overview:
    1) Eating time consistency in linked to sleep cycle
    2) Eating the breakfast might help us be more energized (Also linked to good sleep)
    3) More protein consumption is linked to better sleep (But not overdose which could backfire)
    4) quick digesting carbs (simple carbs) help us fall sleepy earlier, so a meal could be planned accordingly
    5) Slow digesting carbs are also high in fiber which help in slow and steady release of energy trough the day
    6) vitamin deficiency could impact sleep
    7) Banana + almond butter make up for a great sleep meal
8)Caffeine takes 8 hours to get out of our system, so consume caffeine 8 hours before sleep
9)Not being hydrated could be one of the key reasons for feeling tired very often
(Could place a cup by table as a reminder or flavor for making it easy to hydrate)
10)Effect of Fat, Salt etc.. on sleep and a lot more info about this topic in general available on the link in the description.

Love how you didn't say coffee is bad, just limit it near bedtime. Vitamins aren't bad, but strive to get it in food. White rice isn't bad, it just digests quicker. You're excellent at explaining in a way everyone will understand, no matter their level of knowledge on the topic. The visuals are stunning, and the structure is super clear. Congrats and thank you!

I love this!! Becoming more aware of my food choices has been the biggest gamechanger in my life regarding a good night of sleep.
Would really love to hear more about scientific explanations/facts on the impact of eating sugars & sweets in the night as well, because I realized how the reason I couldn't sleep as a kid and teenager was often that I ate a lot of sugar really late which also makes us more awake and stimulates our brain like caffeine. Everybody knows about coffee I feel, but this went under my radar for sooo long.
(I don't do sugars/sweets much these days apart from fruits) but I'd love for more people to know about this!! Much love🤗

I have rheumatoid fatigue I think, and it’s something I just discovered recently was a thing. I’ve been tired and rundown feeling since 2013 and no one told me. I’d love to find some tips for autoimmune issues and how to avoid fatigue with that bc it seems like nothing helps except (sometimes) B12. I’m planning to go back to a mostly plant-based if not completely plant based diet ASAP. (I don’t buy the groceries bc I live with my parents and I’m disabled.) I wanted to understand nutrition from the standpoint of rheumatoid and how plant-based/ vegan can help.

Talk to a nutritionist, it's ridiculous to think that a UA-camr should know and be an expert on how different diseases interact with their preferred diet. She cannot tell you these things and it's important so take it seriously. You could also try the tips and see if they help.
