Almost cried in the middle of watching this cause I can really relate cause I also see my worth in my performance that when I fail i get super disappointed, frustrated and hard on my self and end up in moments of deep grief and feeling so unworthy. When I don't get to do what I planned to do I get so soak with fear and sometimes stop doing what I loved to do because of feeling depressed and even had those moments of anxiety attacks. Im ever thankful and Glad that God is working with me also. Assuring me that the talents He entrusted to me was all for His glory alone and my life should be driven to please Him not to please anyone or myself. Wow…I sure can relate to what your saying and I am 55. Well…I don’t sing, song write, or produce…but everything else was true for me. I too was afraid of failure. Everyone else around me growing up put me on some pedestal because I was so good in sports in every area (mostly). When I came across a sport in gym class in H. S. that was hard for me to do, I just would take an incomplete so I would not have to fail in front of my peers. When I was in the military I still had this mentality. When I couldn’t do something really good, I didn’t tell anyone, I just froze and kept it to myself. When I failed a portion of my physical agility test, I was frozen in fear on what to do. I failed the push-ups portion. For those that do not know how boot camp in the Army goes, if you fail one part, you have to do it all over again. In 1988 that was the 2 mile run, push-ups, and the sit-ups. I was the only one in my unit whom failed. I wanted to run away because I was so afraid of failing! Long story short…I passed the second time around. I learned a lot about myself just in boot camp alone. I also failed the gun range test the first time around too…though the second time around I passed. I learned a lot about myself in boot camp and so that changed me some. I too came from a family where I felt I had to be perfect. I found out…only Jesus was perfect and that changed me forever. In 1997 I gave my life to Christ and his cause. Glory be to God!! 🙌🏻 **I love your story and your beautiful voice. Keep singing for Jesus. You should have so much much more subscribers and likes . ❤❤❤❤

And by doing so, we should be able to know, understand, believe the promises and fulfillment of the God’s new covenant in Jesus blood and keep it as well.

I had the same convo with myself this passed week. I procrastinate because I’m afraid of failing and I don’t like to prioritize projects and take them too seriously because I may not be successful. Yet I can encourage others to give it their all. It’s quite contradicting and inwardly hypocritical because only God and I knew this, until now 🤷🏾♀️ I’m a hypocrite 😩 So thank you for your transparency and reiterating it. 😂 It’s exposing me and challenging me to trust God and improve. Happy birthday girl! May God continue to pour into you and may you continue to schedule dates with him so we can get some great tracks and insightful sessions!
