@@sergiomendoza4850 No he’s completely ethical he accepted responsibility for breaking the rules even when it couldn’t be clearer he did the right thing. Erskine made the right choice undoubtably
@@sergiomendoza4850 I think the distinction would be more like, he's actually extremely ethical and respects the rules, enough so that he is willing to face the music if he's broken one. However, his ethics also mean that he WILL occasionally break one if he needs to because he'll never let rules stop him from doing what he knows is right, and he'll never follow orders blindly if he thinks they don't stand for what he believes in. Each of the Captain America films shows him breaking the rules for a right cause, be it ignoring orders and rescuing a unit that was officially abandoned, going against his country and government because he knows it's been compromised, or standing up for superhuman rights because he knows they've earned it and his friend is being framed to enforce the law. Even in The Avengers, where he's uncertain of absolutely everything, he's not afraid to dig into his own unit's dirty laundry because he knows something's off (as off as HYDRA weapons being stored by SHIELD).
This is the reason why all the Avengers even those with earth shattering powers respect Captain America as the leader of the team, because in any measure of worthiness, Steve Rogers will not be found wanting.

Honestly, I like how they ended it with him. It proves Steve is, in the end, human. Which makes him all the more heroic. Which of us honestly would not take the chance to be with the person we loved most in the world, who had passed. Steve only wanted what every other hero who lost somebody wanted. Peggy was just, not snapped into oblivion. Heroes who are inhuman , are missing something. In the end it is what you do despite fear, imperfections and flaws that makes you a hero. Overcoming those things is heroic. Indeed Tony also illustrates this with his actions in the same movie.
Yeah me too I miss my caps to. One of my most favorite one was the Boyscout cap I had from 3 years ago. That really helped me see during the night because it had lights on it. One of my most prized possession was lost and I didn’t even know where I lost it.
MCU didn't, but DCU did a good job with Wonder Woman. It's pretty simple actually. If you do a period piece with actual Nazis, you are allowed to have clear cut heroes and villains. If you have clear cut heroes and villains, you can make a really fantastic action movie. You'll notice that every good action movie has a German villain because they can't try to make Germans/Nazis relatable. If they did, they would have nothing to call Republicans.
To be fair, the government used him and the soldiers he saved as lab rats and wanted to get rid of the evidence. It wasn't really an act of racism in that regard. The soldiers could've been white and Isaiah too, and I'd still expect the government would want to blow up the POW camp. Of course, selecting African Americans to use as lab rats because they're "more expendable" is incredibly racist.
The fact that Steve himself don't take pride on the other soldiers around him, made me realize that he truly values his new-found strength, and what he can do with it, to save other lives.
One thing I like about Cap, out of all the Avengers, even though he comes off as a huge boy scout and as a bit of a dweeb sometimes, he is definitely one class act. He is Courageous, Honorable, Selfless, Congruent, and Consistent, qualities that frankly every man should strive towards.
Tommy Lee Jones nailed this role to the zenith hands down. Unfortunately, it was unsung and unrecognized. Please pay attention to the supporting actors and actresses
Martin Scorsese or whatever his name is a brilliant director but is completely wrong about his point of view regarding hero movies and their actors so much talent gathered together so much great acting from the main roster and Supporting cast it is an amazing job on that infinity saga
I just realized the line "Everything good about you came out of a bottle" isn't entirely true at all. Sure his power and muscle and capability and strength all did but his personality? Generosity, and just Steve being a nice person didn't come out of a bottle.
That exchange between Cap and Stark is proven wrong over and over again, it is an important part of the MCU. Obviously the best parts of Steve Rogers did not came from the experiments, while Tony Stark indeed would sacrifice himself for others.
That's the point isn't it? That whole conversation is setting up for the day Cap is going to face down Thanos, and Iron Man is going to make the self-sacrifice play.

Kind of weird to say, but I love how Peggy always referred to Steve as Steve or Captain Rogers. She didn’t call him Captain America like everybody else. That’s why he loved her. She saw who he was on the inside. As much as it pained me that Steve left Bucky in the present, I’m glad Peggy and Steve got their dance. I bawl like a baby every time I watch it.
The battalion of soldiers went unnoticed while moving with armored vehicles on the road until it approached the camp barrier. Where are the secret patrols? Where are the linear patrols?! Where is the guards?!! How did this army live to the place of deployment? And air reconnaissance could not detect a battalion moving with armored vehicles on the roads! How was this army able to find the mainland on which to fight? It would be epic if it weren’t so funny :)
Here after Falcon and Winter Soldier. Now I can definitely see what the shield represents to Bucky. He’s almost overcome with emotion at the end. Like my best friend, that scrawny kid from Brooklyn, saved my life and countless others from being POW’s. How heroic!
Even though It's clear that they want each other, they realize that they still have a war to fight in, and they both realize that it is best to wait until after the war when they can start dating.

The best part about this is when he salutes the officer Phillips. He never lost his humility even tho he did something way bigger than any of the soldiers standing at his side, he's a true captain.

I dunno why but I always end up rewatching Tommy Lee Jones' scenes in Cap 1. Didn't do that when I was 10 when the movie was first released. Wasn't much of a character, yes, but a man who took part in the Captain America legend nonetheless. His generosity and attitude took the battalion to the next level. And I'll never forget how much I laughed at his "because we have the best....men" line when he first laid eyes on Rogers. Legendary actor and amazing talent.
What an incredible movie. He was so good in it and so great as cap. I don't get how people don't love this movie more. There's so much heart in it. I even know some comedian on Facebook who says he's a terrible character. He's the one with most character and heart i think.
After Bucky says “let’s hear it for captain America” and Steve looks away from him, his face absolutely drops it’s heartbreaking, he’s traumatised and god knows what’s to come, bless him :(
The first movies were almost all pitch perfect. Not without flaws, but basically 100% true to who the characters were. The casting was also so amazingly good across the board. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Rufalo, Samuel L Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, then later Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Bozeman, Paul Bettany etc. They almost to a T matched their comic book characters and brought them to such life you could BELIEVE they were real just like you hoped as a kid.
That scene when Captain America returns with all the missing soldiers! A truly epic moment that forever changed the way I looked at war! It's not about what you sacrifice, but what you save.
You know... I love that this moment really represents the majority of the audience. Captain America went from a huge joke that nobody took seriously and nobody wanted to be, to be the guy we all cheered for.
@TheGoldenShot45 And why is that? If you can earn that look, even if that relationship falls through, you will still have to beat potential suitors back with a pole. Respect is earned, not given. And any freely given, without earning it, isn’t worth having.
To be fair, Walker was a US killing machine before being cap, he was full of regret of the stuff he's done by following orders. No, by no means is he comparable to cap, his shoes are very hard to fill, but he is more a human than a lunatic
I feel like you somehow forgot the context of either scenes? Steve got back with everyone cheering and supporting him, he got his best friend back and he saved a bunch of people, the army was never going to "discipline" him and he KNEW it. Walker literally just saw his best friend die in front of his eyes by the hands of the people who tried to kill him and he's now being called a monster for killing one of the people who is responsible for his best friend's death and his own attempted murder and the government is literally stripping him of his rank and pay and his VA health benefits, things that he EARNED by bleeding for his country and earning THREE medals of honor. Those are entirely different circumstances that call for very different reactions.

😍😍
John Walker: "DO KNOW KNOW WHO I AM???"
Steve Rogers: "I'd like to surrender myself to disciplinary action"
Walker: “I AM CAPTAIN AMERICA!”
Rogers: “I’m just a kid from Brooklyn”
I think this perfectly sums up the difference between the two. Why one is a hero and the other has fallen from grace.

I miss Cap
He is still in your heart ♥️
Honestly, I like how they ended it with him. It proves Steve is, in the end, human. Which makes him all the more heroic. Which of us honestly would not take the chance to be with the person we loved most in the world, who had passed. Steve only wanted what every other hero who lost somebody wanted. Peggy was just, not snapped into oblivion. Heroes who are inhuman , are missing something. In the end it is what you do despite fear, imperfections and flaws that makes you a hero. Overcoming those things is heroic. Indeed Tony also illustrates this with his actions in the same movie.
*SUPER GHOSTLY HERO* what?
Yeah me too I miss my caps to. One of my most favorite one was the Boyscout cap I had from 3 years ago. That really helped me see during the night because it had lights on it. One of my most prized possession was lost and I didn’t even know where I lost it.

This movie had such a unique feel, which was never quite replicated in the future MCU films

I never really was a Captain America fan until the MCU movies.
Yeah, I understand. I feel the same way.
It’s sad that Isaiah was put in jail for this act of kindness
oh man, i just realized that
To be fair, the government used him and the soldiers he saved as lab rats and wanted to get rid of the evidence.

Agree!
Tommy Lee Jones nailed this role to the zenith hands down. Unfortunately, it was unsung and unrecognized. Please pay attention to the supporting actors and actresses
"I'm not kissing you."
It was nothing special.
Yep, Agent K nailed it
"Let's go find two more!"
The exchange between the scientist and the general, right before the dummy grenade scene, is key.
I said what I said.
That's the point isn't it?
That whole conversation is setting up for the day Cap is going to face down Thanos, and Iron Man is going to make the self-sacrifice play.

@Joey Tatum americas capitalism got me and my family out of poverty man. I’m not sure why people hate on this country so much, many countries have bad histories. Is it because America has the strongest middle class in the history of this planet??? Idk.
Same with Bucky. He only call him "Captain America" because it was in front of everybody. He had always and always will call him, "Steve".
Epic scene with epic music.
Jesse Torres for an epic movie 👌🏼
That's what Alan Silverstri does.
Epic win
Steve Rogers always had the heart of a hero. This is what the first movie brought out and why he’s the leader of the Avengers.
Here after Falcon and Winter Soldier. Now I can definitely see what the shield represents to Bucky. He’s almost overcome with emotion at the end. Like my best friend, that scrawny kid from Brooklyn, saved my life and countless others from being POW’s. How heroic!
Yeah, I like how Captain America and Falcon work together several times in the MCU.
It was more than just a shield to Bucky, it was his best friend's entire legacy

I love how he calls Rodgers "America's gloden boy" after treating Rodgers like a joke before.

I earned that look by doing right before I even met her. Married 27 years this last February 14th. Mother of my children, light of my life.
*Steve Rogers*- "I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action."
*John Walker*- (screams like a lunatic in court)
Another reason why Rogers was truly Captain America, and Walker is a failed imitation.
The guy had every right to scream
And Isaiah Bradley was forced to receive disciplinary actions because he was a hero but not white with blond hair and blue eyes
This will always be one of the more underrated MCU movies.
It's so good.
