    Aladdin’s father traveled the world while his son grew up on the streets of Agrabah poor, struggling and alone, but there was a reason behind his departure and a force that drove him to stay away and it is these justifications for his absence that I’m after today. Today we are going to fully explore the journey of Aladdin’s father and who he was.
    I post every Tuesday and Thursday, so check back then for more Disney, Pixar, Harry Potter, Star Wars and movie videos! If you have any questions about the Disney universe that you would want answered in a video, please ask away in the comment section!

      Honestly, you could be on the right track about why Cassim would have left Aladdin when he was a kid having to grow up roughly as a poor "street rat". And no, because I am a real person, it is unlikely that genies would ever even exist. But if I had one, I could have three wishes like the well-done worlds of fiction like most of the Aladdin animated trilogy turning out to be really existent, for example.

      Disney Theory : I think Disney remake Aladdin is about Cassim when he was young before he meet his wife and was prince of thieves! Aladdin father ( Hint 1: you had a genie did u used all 3 wishes yet) ( hint 2: and it called Street rat) I( I think genie last master was Cassim the king of thieves

      As much as Iam glad that Aladdin's father is alive and is reunited with his son, he should never have left his wife and child in the first place. The best way to survive a cruel world is by love from a family member or a love one... that actually sounds smoochy, sorry

Believing the rest of their family is gone they throw themselves into their work, they want to provide and be in a better world than they currently are in.

    He didn't leave Aladdin to be living in the streets. He didn't know his wife would die, and he was trying to better their lives. One thing I didn't understand as a kid is why he left at the end of the movie, but now I get it. He could have stayed and had the lavish life his son had, but Aladdin had changed his heart. Another reason too is that watching Aladdin have that lavish life is all he'd wanted, and he set out to find a new dream.

No matter how poor or grand one may live. It is a parents nature to want to give all they can. This is also a great example how the Sultan did with Jasmine I feel. Since Aladdin is one of the figures in the 1000 Arabian Nights series of stories, as are the 40 thieves. I have to ask what I feel is an important question, where is Alibaba? The forty thieves appear a few times in the Arabian Nights series of tales, chief among them are the tales of Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp, Sinbad of the Seven Seas, and Alibaba the King of Thieves. Cassem, in Aladdin and the King of Thieves, is the King of Thieves, and at no point is Alibaba ever mentioned over the entire film, even though Alibaba in his tales is the one who carries the title "King of Thieves" and gained such a title by actually stealing the treasure of the Forty Thieves in his first tale. Honestly, I'm disappointed that Disney never tried to bring Alibaba into the mix, given the immense success that Aladdin's stories seemed to have among Disney's library.
    Alibaba could have been a nice sort of comparison character when held up to Aladdin, if written and presented properly. Aladdin is shown to be a nimble, streetwise, and compassionate character with the potential to be a great leader someday but lacking a lot of the social skills that could assist him in statecraft and governance after his marriage to Jasmine. Alibaba could have easily been presented as a juxtaposition, of sorts, with the same kind of cunning and compassion as Aladdin but just as skilled in socially as Aladdin is physically, he wouldn't be as physically nimble or strong but show a level of social agility that could be comparable to Aladdin's own nimble body, all with a gift for storytelling and embellishment, which would show that he tends to be a bit of a pathological liar but most people don't really notice or care because of his naturally high charisma. Alibaba, while being a pathological liar, could be shown to also be excellent at seeing through the ruses and facades others put up and be shown to have a heart of gold by giving items of immense value to those that truly require them but with the caveat that not say where they got it from and tell a little tale he spins for them to tell instead. Alibaba could be shown as someone who prefers to be one who acts heroic but chooses to have his heroic actions not be sung or praised, preferring to be one who's good deeds go unsung while portraying the facade of someone who shows little to no regard to those less fortunate than him. Alibaba could even have a very similar background to Aladdin, being that he had been forced to grow up without parents, but unlike Aladdin whom had been restricted to the streets of the well-doing Agrabah, Alibaba would have been forced to grow up on the streets in towns and cities he came across while also having spent a good portion of his early life having to grow up in the wilderness and learn survival skills on his own with no help from anyone.
    And all that suggestion literally just came up off the top of my head.

    Fun fact about Aladdin and the King of Thieves:
    the original pitch for this movie was to explore the relationship between Aladdin and Mozenrath from the Aladdin tv show. When that voice actor was unavailable, they decided to refocus the movie onto Aladdin's father, Cassim.

    • @Kay-gc4dp
      @Kay-gc4dp 5 років тому +1

      Aladdin and Mozenrath were also meant to be twin brothers, but as well as the voice actor being unavailable, the team wanted to distance the tv series away from the film series (even though King of Thieves was the sequel and finale to the tv show). Another theory is that Mozenrath is Jafar's son, due to the similarities, but that is unlikely as it was never implied in the first two movies that Jafar had a child, or wife of his own, and Mozenrath's similarities to Aladdin in age would not spurn from being fathered by Jafar.
