I actually installed the Tab performance slip ons with the zombie baffles purely from Motorcycle Micks video. After I bought my bike I looked into exhaust, watched and loved the sound he had. They are super nice slips ons for a good price. Keep rocking on Dan. Ride safe
I have Tag Zombies on my Road King and love them!! The guys at Tab are super cool and the best part is they will sell you different baffles to change yourself instead of buying new pipes if you want to try the Zombies!
Just ripping through a bunch of old comments sorted as "Comments I haven't responded to. Then I come across a comment where I left John Maxwell hanging with a simple thumbs-up. How dare me!!! This is like Jesus descending upon me to say "Hey man, great UA-cam video" and me just giving him the shaka sign and walking away.
Awesome video man! Thanks for the shoutout, and glad you love the pipes, they sound great! And yeah the factory pipes did sound like a sewing machine 😂
I've actually added VnH add ons ..not sure I'm going to keep them..I do find the noise too loud and similar to yours..also heading to Spain and France from here in Ireland Ireland and might just be an issue..possibly will swap out again before the trip
Harley told me that adding slip ons is perfectly fine. Actually better for the bike. And no tune needed unless you do an intake. Those are pretty loud, only imagine how the zombies are lol
Very informational video ... thanks. I still have the OEM mufflers in my 2020 Heritage Classic. I was told by the dealer that the cats were in the header pipes, not the mufflers and that if I wanted to eliminate the cats, I would have to replace the headers as well. Could that be a difference between your 2018 and the 2020?
G’day Dan, love your Harley vids. Just bought a 2021 heritage 114 here in Australia. Same tabs slipons as you. Have not done a tune yet. Do I need to. It does seem a bit flat on power 5th gear roll on 60 mph onwards. Did powervision tab calibration make a big difference in this area? Thanks if you can help.
Great choice for slip-ons! I had TABs on my 18 Fatboy and they sounded great! Unfortunately, I had to sell the bike because of financial reasons 😕. I’ve always used V&H pipes in the past, but going forward it will be TABs!!
I have this same bike color and everything i was thinking of going with the tab slip ons 2.25 S&S 475c cam then dynoed with tuner. I wonder if I would get as good of results as if I used a 2 into 1 full exhaust or would I be waisting money on a full 2 into 1 exhaust?
I agree on the increase in volume on stockers. I have 14K on mine now and they got deeper. Nothing at all like a replacement such as TAB, but I travel 60 miles round trip and don't want to be deaf lol. What? Hahaha Good install/review
I know the video is a little old but I just came across it. I'm jealous of the black turn signal bar on the back and I think it would look pretty good on my own (black) FLHCS. Is that the H-D one or something different (and hopefully cheaper)?
Sorry for the late reply. I actually just pulled mine off, lightly scuffed it with a dremil and hit it with rustoleum lol. Super ghetto but turned out incredibly nice and has held up for 2 years.
@@GearsGadgets no worries, I appreciate the reply. Ghetto or not, looks pretty good to me! And more importantly, scuffing and rustoleum is wayyyy cheaper than the $200 or so Harley wants. I might have to bring myself to do that too.
Was definitely more noticeable with this video on the before & after 👍 Bonus points for your Dad 🤘🏼 Only concern was you were installing the slip ons with flip flops & shorts . Should’ve been wearing boots & chaps ! Good stuff !!
Haha fair enough but it was 106 in my garage and I was sweating balls. If it wasn’t for UA-cam / my fathers terms of service policy against nudity, it would have been a different kind of video.
You will get better sound from new mufflers the good low end toque cam with a good tuner will put a big smile on your face. Just try to check out other staged 3 Softails 114s ....
I want people who leave comments like this to start their own channels and create content better than mine but instead they just take the easier path of criticizing someone else’s effort. Someone’s gotta do the actual work for everyone else to have something to armchair QB I guess. I’m just happy to be on this end.
Yo! Thanks for the shout out, brotha! The exhaust sounds great!
Thanks Mr. Moto Garage. No Problem!!

That's awesome!! Appreciate the comment. How are those zombies in your ear holes? Do you find the need for hearing protection?
They are loud but they are not obnoxiously loud. I’ve never had or used hearing protection.
I have Tag Zombies on my Road King and love them!! The guys at Tab are super cool and the best part is they will sell you different baffles to change yourself instead of buying new pipes if you want to try the Zombies!
Yeah the interchangeable baffles is awesome. Lets you buy one option then switch if you don't like it.
Solid video. Loved the shoutout, and the bike sounds great!

John Maxwell how would using these affect the factory warranty?
Robert Meier ua-cam.com/video/Nc4ZRzL_XTE/v-deo.html he answers that question at 11:24
the beer step was essential - I completely understood the steps once I mastered that one! Awesome...
Thanks
Awesome video man! Thanks for the shoutout, and glad you love the pipes, they sound great! And yeah the factory pipes did sound like a sewing machine 😂
Thanks I appreciate it and no problem. Are you still running the zombies?
Yes I am! They are loud af

No, the cats will be in the slips

Do you need to retune
With the slip ons do u really need to tune it or no?
Thanks for the assurance. 2" it is

Oh sorry to hear you had to sell the bike, that sucks. I really like the TAB's they sound awesome. Are you getting another bike anytime soon?

I wonder the same... Good choice on bike tho!! Lol
I like the sound of "Deep Burble" and TAB nails it.
I totally agree. Are you running TAB's currently?

Great video and the sound on your channel is great!! 👍🍺
Thanks Eric I appreciate it.
Good video, subscribed!
Thanks
That is really a great sound.
Yeah man, they are really quite incredible sounding. Perfect rumble without sounding tinny which I hear sometimes out of some pipes.
Yep - 2.5 Baffles BEST 🤩
Wow those sound amazing!!. Great video wish I would of known of these pipes before I purchased v&h for the wife's 18 heritage
Yeah they sound really good. How are the Vance and Hines overall?
@@GearsGadgets they lack the throatiness that I was expecting of a VH product. Not bad when you really get on the throttle.
I just cored my stock pipes, back in y2k, gets alotta people say sounds like a hot rod coming and going.
I would love to hear it.

Gears & Gadgets 😂😂
@@Beerbellybo - It’s called busting balls … He’s my nephew & it’s what we do 🍻
do you need to have a tuner to install these?
I probably wouldnt do it without a tuner.
Dude dig it. I'm a desert boy my self.
Thanks, where are you located?
Threw my tab with zombie baffles on last night. They are loud.
Yeah thats why I went with the middle of the road baffles. Even mine are still pretty loud. They do sound good though.
@@GearsGadgets - wife rolled her eyes. The youngest boy was giggling and covering his ears. So you know it’s good.
Sounds great 👍
Thanks Mike!!
Love it!!!!
Thanks SP!!
5:13 👍👍👍
Appreciate it. Cheers!!
Are you open to selling me your TAB Performance slip-ons now that you install Rhinehart 2-1s headers/exhaust?
Sorry already unloaded them.
Cam that bike partner and u will really feel some needed power 👍👍
Really? How much do you think is gained with a cam?

I wanted to hear the pipes not a video of talking for most of the video.

Too much talking way too much talking!!!!!! Horrible video🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I will check out your channel to see how it should be done.
