    Floorboards on cruisers like Heritage are to be set a little loose, not cranked down tight. That way they gently fold up when you lean into a turn and scrape. I live in the mountains and scrape all the time. The first time you experience floorboard scrape through a turn it might startle you but, it's no big deal.

    • @dadwithabike
      @dadwithabike  2 роки тому +3

      Yeah, it's no biggie. I scrape on my sport tourer when I'm getting on it ... that is a little more questionable 😁

    For those of you who don’t know, he was killed a month after posting this video. He sounded like a nice guy, but you can’t ride like that every day without it eventually catching up with you. My motto is, “ride to live another day.” I crashed in my early 20’s riding like this. I should have died that day but miraculously I didn’t. I did, however, spend the next 18 months in and out of surgery. But what hurt me the most was how much I hurt my family, especially my mother. I saw the video of this guys funeral; he had a lot of friends and family, and it seemed a wife. When we ride we have to be mindful of those who love us along with those who we love. I don’t know why but a part of me feels like I knew him.

    • @FranBunnyFFXII
      @FranBunnyFFXII 2 роки тому +5

      Did he die on a motorcycle? Or do we not know?
      I ride my fat boy pretty hard, like they do a sport bike or those king of the baggers riders.
      The big problem I see with this guy's riding is he's not motoGP leaning over the tank into the turn, he's counter leaning, which means he's adding more lean angle than necessary.
      I personally ride really fast and hard, but I also wear a motoGP level helmet, and an airbag vest.

      I had a quick look and there is a memorial video on his channel. In the comments it confirms that it was a bike accident.
      Have to say he 's not hanging about in this video, and that's on an easy going cruiser.
