A question. What did Jesus mean when he said that the gospel of the kingdom would be preached worldwide? Are Jehovah's Witnesses the ones who fulfill that prophecy or who are they?
I really don't know why people have a problem with understanding this. People lack critical thinking skills and also comprehension skills. If the father did not receive life from anybody and has life in itself and granted everlasting life to the son, how in the world can you conclude that jesus is God or that they are on the same level? Hey Greg. First of all - thanks for all your work and the great series on destroying the pagan belief of Trinitarianism. I've challenged a few evangelical and orthodox blend pagans on John 5:26 - and so far, a lot of waffling, but no real tangible answer. I can tell you that some have reacted crazy, which is what you'd expect. Recently, one of them came with an interesting thought though. In order to let the discussions continue, I strive not to react to harshly on their pagan lies and empty pagan philosophy statements - I try to listen with empathy, and try to see things from their viewpoint (it renders me utterly confused at times, which is why I appreciate your truth bombs). The interesting statement is this one (again stated by one who accepts the Trinity as truth and with it the dual nature nonsense): "Jesus was given 'life in himself' by the Father, only in the flesh - in his human nature. In his divine nature he obviously always had it. It was given by the Father as when Jesus was on earth he was in a subordinate state. According to Aquinas, almost the whole of John's gospel is about the Son of God in the flesh, including eating the flesh of Jesus that contains life (John 6:35)" How can we counter such statement without having to go too far into debunking the dual-nature non-sense?
@GsWitness The context is clearly talking about eternal life the Father already has in himself, which is not human life. That's the life he gave to the Son, as it was already in him but not already in the Son. So unless they can prove the Father had eternal human life in himself, and gave that to Jesus, then he was given the non-human eternal life the Father had but the Son did not, proving my point and validating my question.
@GsWitness If they're inventing answers, as they are, it's already over. Just stick with the life the Father has (eternal) and which the Son was given. The life in the Father is the only life under discussion. So it has to be that same life given to the Son, proving they did not share it eternally. But don't expect them to accept clear biblical teaching if they already believe traditions over the Bible. Just plant the seed and maybe later it will grow.
Shamoun struggles really hard, and fails, to explain John 5:26 in a coherent way.
Good point. How can the Son be "given life" if he has always existed? Outstanding!!❤

What day is the Sabbath: Seventh day (Gen 2:1-3, Ex 20:8-11) or the first day of the week?
