This is important to remember. I had to remind my nephew that our ancestors built this country - the infrastructure, economy, inventions, arts/entertainment etc. for free and that's more entitlement than any yt person could ever have.

He graduated from Harvard Law School a few days ago and already has a job at a law firm in NYC. That’s why Tamron gave him the briefcase for the start of his career as an attorney.

Paula - There are plenty of men out there just like him. There are men, especially Black men who come from similar situations, or who have troubles past who turn their lives around and accomplish their goals and make their dreams come true.
You don’t have to graduate Harvard Law or become a success; success is very personal and should be defined by the person striving for it.
My cousin is one such man. He was a disgusting bum, crack addict who grew up in the projects. He used to steal (including from family, me included) and panhandle to supply his habit. He never went past the 8th grade.
Fast forward to today. He turned his life around, completed his GED, got several certifications in HVAC, etc.
He has had a well-paying job for over two decades now. He bought a house in the most affluent Black county/jurisdiction in America.
As we speak, he is on vacation in Ghana (West Africa).

He seems like such a sweet, humble, good young man. I know his dad is so proud of him. His dad sounds like he is a wonderful father.

Tyler Perry about to make a movie about his life I see it coming. For the record being a garbage/sanitation worker is nothing to be ashamed of, it’s a honest living and respectable job to have.
There are many brilliant people out there who just need an opportunity to excell.
Humility and patience coupled in a character of integrity is what this young man is filled with. When you can understand, especially at a young age, that rejection is not a disappointment but it is wisdom in understanding that what is not for you has to be removed so that only what is for you can come. I feel like a proud big sister for this young man and there are even greater heights than this that will be at your grasp, just keep your mind focused on the Lord, keep being who you already are and know that you were already blessed before Harvard, Harvard was already a designed stone in your story, you only needed to walk through the seed form of process to allow the transformation of what was already destined to come to manifest in your life. Keep God first and your center focus always…be blessed

Your job is not always linked with your intellect. Most of the young kids at your local grocery store or restaurant are in college. Nobody wants to be at that job forever.
