For the sugarcane juice, in India we just wash them, no need to clean some of the peel. Anyway, one trick I saw these sugarcane juice vendors are doing is, they are freezing the cane in freezer for 1 day before making juice out of it. Eliminating the use of ice (removing contaminants as we are not sure how good of a water the ice came from). The cool fresh juice tastes amazing.

I worked in a Medicine Factory and every machine had to be tore down and washed, Put back together. Cleaned the walls and the floor and all the tools. That was in USA everything might be different in another country. The Sugar cane place looks very dirty and the machines also.
Probably they water-hose the entire thing at the end of the day. Sugar-cane thing seems like a separate video taken in places like Vietnam or something. Medicine factories should not be compared, as they have different regulations.

There’s not much profit at the sugar cane place. They are selling sugar cane juice at $0.60/litre based on the sign. They can’t afford to clean the machine thoroughly at the end of the day.

Sooo much human involvement - way more than i thought --- would loke to see what they did to recover the wastage though ... if they do -- assume that becomes canned crushed pineapple maybe.
Wow. I don't think we have this in the States, at least not that I know of. Imagine the production costs of these individually wrapped pineapples. Then wrap again in a tray container. Oh well, it's Del Monte.
