I was actually thinking of doing this upgrades to my ST mk8 too. Specially the fog lamps as they turn on a lot because of the "cornering" function when you turn. Thanks a lot for the video.
No problem hope its helped you, just be careful removing the surrounds can be a bit tricky.
Really late bro, but consider getting a unit that can switch from white to a yellow colour when going for LED fogs. You'll regret using white when you need them!
I like the fog lamps upgrade rather than the reverse lamp, Nice job and easy to do. Look after that nice ST, same colour as I would order
Thanks, yeah the reverse was more for me as we have very little street lights etc near us so just makes it easier to see where you are reversing in the dark.

The LED Fog Lights are not legal (right know - don´t know whats in the Future). LED Backlights could be a Problem too. Adding other Lamp Units (H7 Phillips LED Lamps 4 xpl.) are no problem.... Looking forward for your installment of the hood lifters (Don´t know what´s called in Englisch, but i saw your comment on Instagram :-p )

Great vids mate, I got the mk8 st3 fully loaded performance blue back in March, I've just one question... I've got the LED's ready to fit, it's just that the OEM bulb connection doesn't say which goes to what, ie... black&brown wire if I remember could be black&green = positive or negative.
These LED's have + and - on them, and they light up which ever away round i put them on but better to be safe than sorry.
BTW your video on the panoramic roof I asked for was great, I drive around at night with it open.😂🤣😉👍
Undoubtedly the led fog lights are way nicer than the stock ones ,but what do you do in a case of a really foggy road that you need them?I think that’s the reason they are yellow and not white..did you happen to meet a fog??
Nickmic13 hey Nick yeah thought about that also but they are white LED fog lights on our Evoque and it’s not been a problem so used that as my benchmark for knowing if it would be ok and this far no problem at all and if anything they really do illuminate more than the standard ones 👍
You can buy lights that go from yellow for fog and back to White when there is no fog, all you need to do is switch it off and on again and it will cycle from yellow or White
Now that you have had the reversing LED's for a while, do they make much of a difference to seeing when reversing (i also live in a rural area).
In addition assuming you have now done a few thousand miles by now, how do you rate it for build regarding creaks and rattles (including your sun roof). I really hate little rattles so would greatly value your thoughts.

Hey Tim yeah reverse lights help a great deal no doubt so well worth doing, regarding build quality etc I have over 8k on mine now and I have to say that I have 0 rattles. Trust when I am super OCD over such things and I am super happy with it so far. I appreciate this is almost a car by car experience so I could not say for sure you would experience the same but for me it’s right as a drum 👍
Thanks for your reply, I have recently driven one after some far more expensive German vehicles and its a no brainer to go for the ST. This was the only area that concerned me so i think I'm going to take the plunge for a 3 door ST3. No doubt I will add some of your modifications so thanks again.
Tim Williams thanks. Tim like I said the rattle thing really will likely vary from car to car all I can tell you in my car it’s a non issue 👍 shout if you need anything else

s2huk Hi there, yeah it’s a bit tricky I think one of mine did break but there are 5-6 on that piece so wasn’t a major issue just need to be careful
What are these like when used as a dipped beam? Still give off the bright white light? Rather than hazy halogen yellow?

Totaled Biff TV sorry that wasn’t so clear, I’ve just bought the reversing kit upgrade and the front fog upgrade kit but I want to use the bulbs as dipped beams rather than the front fogs? I have an st line so haven’t got the upgraded front cluster already
dan cartwright ok got it yeah the light is very white and bright so should work really well for sure deffo over the standard orange bulbs 👍

Heya, fantastic looking car! I'm getting mine in August and be doing the LED upgrade front an rear. But, how do you remove the plastic round the fog light?
Vehementi hi there removing the fog surrounds needs to be done carefully I recommend you get a panel removal kit from Amazon about £15.00 has all the plastic tools need so you don’t damage the paintwork of your car when removing the surrounds check my video on the carbon upgrades for the link to the kit 👍

Vehementi I think the roof is good value and dependant on your climate if you have decent weather it’s great to have the option of opening the roof, I went for the Milltek exhaust because they did Carbon tips and in felt the noise was a bit louder when in sport/Race mode
Nice upgrade but. Did you have any dash error after installation ? Do they have canbus cheater ?

Just a Question. Are the rear blinkers also LED like in the front or halogen ?
Hi there I believe these are Halogen and they are definitely not Dynamic like the front indicators in the LED headlight.

Might sound a daft question but how did u take the light off haha I’ve took the nut off and all that I just can’t seem to dislodge the panel from the car? Any help?!
You mean the surround ? or the light fitting itself?
I’m trying to fit my LED reverse lights. I take the nut off and everything then when I come to taking the light panel off from the boot I can’t. The side of the panel which is on the edge of the boot doesn’t seem to budge and I can’t take the panel off. Just wondering if yours came straight off and it seems you didn’t have to really pull it to get it off.
Yo sorry for the reply again aha but you’re the only guy on UA-cam I’ve seen do it. Any help on what I need to do? I can’t get the rear light cluster off to change the reverse bulb.
TBGameRz ok so you have undone the wing nut and the light fitting won’t come out?
If so you do need to give it a bit of a pull as it has a couple of locater pins that hold it in place but they should release with a bit of a pull ?

Totaled Biff TV yeah I took the nut off then one side was coming off however the side which is on the end side of the boot will not budge no matter how hard I pull. From your video it seemed to just pull straight out.
