Really clever of ford to use a 'chip' for the DRL than integrating a LED strip inside the headlights. Saves the hassle of opening up the headlights as the chip is external.
They've been using it in the Transit for a while now and I presume the same for the Mk 4 Focus. It'll make repairs a lot easier/cheaper.
Brilliant video mate, loving the look of the MK8! Just a quick question, I’m looking to buy an ST diffuser from PumaSpeed for my MK.7 black edition and just wondering if it’s a straight flush fit all round? I had a TRC one but TRC told my that I have to cut plastic parts away from underneath my car for it to fit properly and I don’t want to have to do this with the ST one. Also do you know if the PumaSpeed kit comes with screws to secure the diffuser? Cheers

This looks great, but when you use the car does it start on the standard colour LED’s for road legal safety and can change them when you feel like ?
Very cool mod for fiesta light. But are enough bright like the stock drl ?
Anyone with these know if you can get the colour of them to stay a set colour? If I change mine to yellow like I want them to be, after a while or if I turn off the car the lights come back on red which is illegal when in motion.
Hey Ash I know this is an old video but do these DRLs have the option to act as indicators? Kind of like how the new SEATs have their DRLs just flash orange instead of having separate bulbs ?

Hi, I purchased some of these after seeing your vid, do you find that when used in the day time as white DRL the brightness is not great? Or could it just be my set?
They look great at night but useless as normal DRL’s
Titch 007 the thing with aftermarket equipment it’s a hit or miss in this case the led board is not as strong as the oem ones

Only legal with white when on the road according to the manufacturers website.
It looks amazing. I am a bit concerned that they don't have that aluminium cast housing housing with cooling ribs, which means they might overheat and catch fire OR they are not as powerful / bright as the original ones. What do you think?

Please tell me what wind deflectors you’ve got and give me a link I have the mk8 fiesta st and been searching everywhere and it never specified that they fit the mk8 only the later models
And can you do some interior lighting like the headliner lights please I wanted to see if there was any that look like the blue the same as the dash and clocks

one question your car's led when you unlock it they turn on with the normal led units.what about them?will the unit still work like that or you only control them via the app? @Ash Holder

Wish these could integrate into the indicators.
Especially for us without the full LED unit.
Yeah I went ST2 without - I have the mondeo Vignale and when you have the LEDs in that they are leagues above the ones in the fiesta so I’ve just upgraded the bulbs.
All there needs to be is a port into the DRL that receives the connection from the indicator and then the circuitry would detect when indicators are on and trigger a program to either flash, sweep etc the indicator.
They could do it yesterday...

It's apparently a safety thing, it's to show pedestrians there is a car coming towards them... How they can't just see the car I don't know!!!.....
