I will add my own sentiments to those already here. Glad Cam is recovering and that his injuries were not even more severe. Bren's line was truly representative of what freeride is, no score from garbage judges changes that fact. Probably my last watch of the event now that they've sucked all the purity out of it. No way on Earth Semenuk should have won over Godziek.
I would say the award for FREE RIDE SOUL goes to BRENDOG, OLLIE and DEAKS. I just loved their combined comradeship leading up to the final day. That to me is what this event should be reminded of and was about. It’s not CRANKWORKS. This event is totally what these lads created and should be acknowledged as moving forward.
Impressive riding. Loved the barel roll from Isted. The goat skills from Fairclough. The tricks from Semenuk. Front flip from Tom... and overall madness in all the riders. I just feel the judges dont deserve much or any attention at all. The prove long ago they suck at their job
Couldn't agree more @pinkbike, Bren was defo top 5 material 😉 I know nothing about the existing lines as others are claiming but the fact is we all come together to watch Rampage for heart stopping gnar (I was literally shaking after watching Bren's, Isted, Cam's first hits) and Crankworx for the mind bending aerobatics. @Red Bull, can we go back to mad raw lines, big transfers and creativity with the trail rather than the tricks? Otherwise the goal is just to weave a slopestyle track into the hill, and that just seems wrong somehow. Big up Bren and team for another incredible line. Overall though another incredible year of riding 🤘 Nice edit PB ❤
Semenuk seemed so shocked and confused like he wasn't expecting it to be a win. His run was amazing trick wise, but there were others that definitely deserved to be #1. Brendog had the most freeride run out of everyone and didn't even make it. It was a shame. I'm all down for tricks, but they really need to change how they judge these runs.
The overall note multiplied with a sort of coefficient of rawness 0 to 1 (antouched ground in the line with a shovel or whatever) could be a good idea, what do you think guys ?

for the win, he only had to go for the last trick.
PS: here they showed us that Rampage isn`t a Freeride-Compilation anymore....
thank you for playing the 11th place at 4, his ride was my favourite.
Cette année du haut niveau ! merci aux rideurs 🤘💯
So stoked for Tyler!!
Brendogs run was beauty
The prove long ago they suck at their job
brendog should have atleast got top 5.
LAUGHABLE judging again this year. They should make the top 3 ride Brendan's line.... then we'd see who's boss
EXACTLY! Two out of 3 podium placers would DIE trying.
Brendog completely robbed, Red bull are taking the piss now, not sure if its even real "freeride" anymore
Well done @pinkbike love the editing! What @brendog deserved!
Turning into dark fest, slopestyle, nothing like what rampage should be. Brendon keeping its originality.
Tvs front flip was worth watching rampage alone ....insane ....its always going to be tough deciding who is a winner ....the talent is of the scale. Well done to all , Bdog deserved a higher finish his run was incredible.
It’s called RAMPAGE not slopestyle. Should be awards for hardcore gnar. Brendog was sick!!
Best part of this rampage was the judgement getting boos
Damn I'm glad the general consensus is the same as mine and know Brendog was underscored massively
I started Mountain Biking in July. And even I was shocked by Brendan Fairclough's score. Do the judges not like him or something....? He deserved at least top 4 I think.
Bring back mtb freeride competitions! Next it will be BMX, ramps & xgames!
Bren got the real win, Red bull needs to think about how and why this event came to be....
Again people rewarding brendog and the judges rewarding slopestyle and the big names… this event is toast
Worst Rampage ever. 👎
Great performance by the riders, terrible performance by the judges.
Been like that last 3 times in my opinion @@Schmiddelwutz2000
Hardly the case
Why?
Amazing riding, ruined by terrible judging
Well said Pinkbike
Brendog got ripped off, love how the editors thought that, too. But I do agree with Semenuk placing in first. He has the best style and the hardest tricks.
I think I'm done with rampage.... How can they give Brendog that sh#tty score........ Again.
The GOAT proves it again!!
Nice touch PB, putting Brendog closer to where he should have been 👍
