@Riding in the Ozarks if I was going to buy one, I would get the orange and black, however I would have to see them both on the floor as 99% of the time the pictures 📸 can be deceiving.
Orange more, but red pretty sweet too. We did out 2005 FLHR as a Vicla tribute to the iconic 68..might be a 1 of a kind, love it still. Our 2012 CVO for wife and I road tripper still rocking!
Honestly I like the Orange one. As my friend said, she called the Red one Highway Queen , saying it was so nice they made a girls and a boys bike As for pricing, two tone and abs and rdrs was 21,779. Still a $5200 jump and honestly for that price I would have expected full LED lighting all around. As for that Hog... did you notice how they avoided showing the symbol in all the press. The "hog" is actually very cool. Helps make the bike even more unique. If I had the money AND if I was ready to give up my Sport Glide, I would be running down to the dealer to order the Low Rider ST.
I personally like the hog in the paint job, but I'm a little different than most . I'm also kind of old school Harley. I love chrome on my bikes. Never been fond of the current craze of all blacked out bikes with no chrome, but that's just me. To each his own! Ride safe...

I was gonna buy an ultra in black, but I wasn't sure about all the weight as I age, I'm 60 now.. this bike is just like the 68 Electra glide but it's better.. I had considered buying an actual 69 in green at $25k but figured this having modern technology can be a daily reliable driver for me and unlike my RK classic it has locking bags. Ride what you like, it's your money, for me, this is a rare bike that won't look like everything else on the road, there's only another 749 like mine and only a handful in my state.. it's a work of art, love it, love Harley's.. be well everyone see you out there ... Hey, Man Mountain Mike, I really like the bikes HD are turning out as of late but the prices...to steal a line from the old Batman television show, HOLY COW BATMAN!! A price increase on the relabeled Road King from 20K to 27K! A $2,900 price increase for a paint job on the ST models...da fu#k? The prices are absolutely outrageous. HD, that paint scheme cost $2,900 to do? I know something about painting, NO WAY! Moreover, a $7,000 price jump on the RK? Where is the 7K at? I cannot see it myself and I'm a RK guy. I don't know about y'all but HD is at the point that I am priced out of the new bike market. If I am going to spend 30K, it's not going to be on something I don't want to use for transportation on cold and rainy days. The older I get, the more I enjoy my heated and cooled car along with a wallet that has something in it other than a bank note to HD! Great points in the vid. Man Mountain Mike. As always, I love your efforts and content here brother. That's all I have for y'all today. Y'all keep on riding and I will catch ya on the next vid.I'm out, y'all peace out.
Ozark rider you commented that Harley picked the low hanging fruit releasing the Highway King as an Icon. You would be right however nostalgia sells, and I think it was a wise move on their part. Being a Road King rider and owning an old Shovel dresser this year's Icon is more appealing to me than the previous one. Harley nailed it with the paint, the orange would be my pick.
I love the highway king and have been waiting for this bike since you and HD vibe mentioned it’s possible release a few months back. I liked the revival but wasn’t a fan of a fairing with all the modern stuff in it, I personally think if you want the old school retro look then this is it. Fingers crossed I get my order 🤞🏼 for the gold. YEAH!
I think the Electra glide Highway King is as you suggested way to similar to the Revival and as for the Fast Johnnie bikes well I don't think just a different tank set warrants the price. Also here in Australia a Roadking Special is around $42,000.00 au, so I would guess the the Highway King would be around $55,000.00 au as a CVO for us is around $60,000.00 au.
I love that orange hwy king. It is a true dream bike I’m a road king man so of course this bike hooked me HARD. But damn.. the FLHR was somewhat attainable. Now it’s all for the RUBs
I really like the Highway King- they nailed the look .... but I like my current '21 FLHR (Billiard Red, RDRS) more. Downsides to the Highway King for me are 1. Seat height- almost 70 years of gravity and multiple leg surgeries have reduced my inseam from 32" to 29" .... tippy toeing an 800lb motorcycle isn't my idea of fun. 2. You lose the TPMS because of the spoked wheels which require tube tires. 3. 12" rear shocks- I noticed that too and suspect you might be giving up some ride comfort . 4. PRICE- Out the door this is easily a $30K motorcycle which is almost $7K more than my RK cost a 1 1/2 years ago. As much as I like the Highway King, the 114, two tone paint and exclusivity isn't worth $7k to me. If I was going to break the bank I'd put myself on a Street Glide ST.
good points. the short shock is necessary because of the pogo seat. This is going to be a great riding bike. I like it very much but it's a little tarted up for me. I don't really need the candy colors, white walls, higher price because I'm not a collector, I'm a rider. That's why I loved the RK.
I own a Revival. I have previously owned two RKs, one was a police model. While I like the look of the Highway King, I think they just devalued the Revival or vice versa. In my opinion, Harley has become complacent with their Icon models. I know people will snap these up, but taking existing bikes and changing a few things like a seat and new paint is just taking their customers for granted. As for the Fast Johnnies, they look cool and I like the little piggy. All these bikes will depreciate significantly in a year or two, so I would not spend the extra money for one.
The changing of the paint, swapping of fenders and removing / adding some parts…. Are you kidding me?? That’s exactly what Harley has done for the past 40 years now! Ever since the EVO engine. Except for the Springer models. Those were exceedingly different & they perfectly captured their iconic past! Watch for a Springer model in the coming years.
It's possible they will do a standard version for all of the Touring line and then the New Frame for the specials and up..... Kinda like the Sportster and the Rev Max Sportsters for a crossover year. They did say they wanted to focus on what they do best, big bikes and touring. When the CIO was with Puma they basically did the rebuild not on products but marketing. He is really good at building excitement, thats what sells these bikes!
I like the Highway King, but not for $27,000. It feels like Harley has lost touch with its customers. I paid around that for a 2021 Ultra Limited with all the bells and whistles. I want to see HD succeed, but they need to come back to earth before they lose more customers to competitors.

When were they not “overpriced”? In 1997 a new bike cost $19,000 out the door. Not bad if you ask me. It’s 2023/24 and you can still purchase a new Harley for that amount. Or for 8 $8,000 more you can get an awesome looking bike! It’s the cost of things and is what it is.

I like the look of the Highway King but wouldn’t want one. And wouldn’t you have to be around 80 to have $28k worth of nostalgia for a bike from the 50’s? Thats why I think the Low Rider ST is selling so well. It’s takes cues from an era current Harley’s buyers can more easily relate to, 70s and 80s mostly.
Doesn’t it depend on the era in which you were born and saw your first Harley-Davidson??? I grew up in the 70’s & 80’s and I absolutely love the older style bikes!! Especially that Heritage Springer when it was introduced 1997! Talk about iconic! The lower rider st…. It sells because it light weight, has bags for storage, the front fairing is absolutely horrible looking but hey, it’s what west coasters like. Kind of reminds me of that bike Prince rode in Purple Rain.
I like the looks of the Highway King. I like the idea of the hog but their rendition not too much. Make Fast Johnny look like a real wild hog with no stupid helmet on his head.
I agree joke! Highway kings is ugly! What’s with the limited editions! I mean and still leave the same ole same ole bikes for the Consumers! On the daily buy! Ole not to mention the higher prices hahah
Harley’s too expensive for next generation. I raced professional motocross 60-70’s. All European bikes, CZ, Bultaco, Jawa, Maico, Penton, Puch, Husky, montessa, etc. Japanese bikes arrived now all gone except Husky. President. Reagan with Tariffs on bikes, etc. Harley needs more entry level bikes that are appealing. USA becoming like other countries less supersizing and now downsizing as everything too expensive. Hard to afford a $50,000 average new car and a $20,000 motorcycle with still food on the table.
The Highway King 👑 is definitely the one I like from this release 😊

$27,000 bike and no LED lighting.
I like the hog on it
I like the looks of the Highway King. I like the idea of the hog but their rendition not too much. Make Fast Johnny look like a real wild hog with no stupid helmet on his head.
I need a new hog!!
The Hog looks like Alf, not a fan
It's a money grab. A low effort, greedy money grab. I hope prospective buyers see right through this.
Im from joplin br
Joplin MO?
Harley is taking their customer for fools. A seat and a different paint job and a huge price increase. It's a Road King.
I think the pig is cool… but it does look a bit like A.L.F.
Being a hog member. I freaking love tht fast johnnie road glide
Harley has lost their freaking minds on price.
Okay I understand a hog is a Harley but that thing there looks more like a piglet
I really don’t know who these bikes are aimed at. Too much money for paint. The pig sucks.
just give me a road king standard with a 114...black...keep it simple.... these new bikes can shoved up you know what
Roadking, Highwayking, it’s all an FLHS to me.
They are trying and it’s not electric 😂
True that.
Not a fan of the hog to be honest, but I do like the paint overall.
Have to say calling the hog ALF is even better, go chase some cats!
I agree joke! Highway kings is ugly! What’s with the limited editions! I mean and still leave the same ole same ole bikes for the Consumers! On the daily buy! Ole not to mention the higher prices hahah
Not happy with the pig
Not a fan of the colored windshield on the king. I think is tacky and so is the pig on the tank.
I’m not impressed with those colors just my opinion
Overpriced again
Harley’s too expensive for next generation. I raced professional motocross 60-70’s. All European bikes, CZ, Bultaco, Jawa, Maico, Penton, Puch, Husky, montessa, etc. Japanese bikes arrived now all gone except Husky. President. Reagan with Tariffs on bikes, etc. Harley needs more entry level bikes that are appealing. USA becoming like other countries less supersizing and now downsizing as everything too expensive. Hard to afford a $50,000 average new car and a $20,000 motorcycle with still food on the table.
People realizing that a 5-7 year financing really makes you underwater as these are depreciating liabilities not assets
No hog 😆👎
Ugly in my opinion.
Hmmmm...way overpriced for what you get....cost more than a car.....overpriced junk for sure...
