Good topic, I ride alone 98% of the time, have taken several solo road trips and found that it was really refreshing. Stop when you want, no 30 minute discussion to figure out where to eat, etc.. Nobody to wait on or let you down by not showing up.
I ride alone as well, and all those things are true. I do get a bit lonely though. Seeing couples and friends eating together and always sitting alone wears me out a bit. I have no idea how to make friends anymore though. I feel socially retarded I've been alone for so long. Great video.
@chrisnevergrowold330 just be yourself and enjoy life. I have a lot of "friends", but when it's time to ride there's always an excuse or they just want to stay local. After many disappointments I decided I wasn't going to let others stop me from getting out and riding. I don't mind being alone, but it's probably safer to have someone with us on a road trip. Keep being you and you'll run into a real friend eventually and 1 true friend outweighs 100 fake friends.
I'll add one. Ride at my speed. Just because my bike can easily hit 100mph+, I have no need risk getting a ticket in order to keep up with the pack. As I've heard groups swear, "If we ride as a group, they're not going to waste their time trying to ticket everyone of us". HaHaHaHa...I've seen it happen twice.
Exactly, it's why I ride alone. I eat where and when I want, or not at all, I stop where I want to, I go as far as I want to, no drama, no BS from people, and you don't have to worry about whether the other rider(s) actually know how to ride. I also like to set my cruise control and sit back and enjoy the ride, when I do it don't ride 100 mph like some fools.
Could not agree more. Add a day to your trip, cut a day off. Leave when you want, stop when you want. No 30 minute gas stops every 2 or so hours. Go as fast or slow as you want. The list is limitless. Some look at me strange when I tell them I'm going out alone on a 7-10 day trip. I respond with you're not talking to your fellow riders on the road other than when you stop. So what am I missing.

I rode in a staggered pack from California to Washington DC over the course of ten days. Called Run For the Wall. (RFTW) Shit did happen. It was quite an adventure but after the DC to Illinois part I was in my own back to California. What a f’n relief that was with nothing but air in front of me 90 miles per hour. Stress went way down. The mission was achieved however by bringing awareness to KIA, POW and all sorts of military related things.
When I first started riding it was suggested that I join the local HOG group. They taught me how to ride in a group, but not just that, they taught me how to ride with people that can't ride, and with people who can ride. I enjoy riding by myself. I rode across the United States from California to New York alone. The schedule is mine, my kickstand went up when I wanted it to, and if I wanted to ride 600 miles or 400 it was all on me.

I am with you on the self evolving by socializing and being in groups. Making a mental punch-list review starting with end of day events through to morning is how I analyze, reflect and deal with things. I can't stand group rides though. Most people are too slow. I prefer solo most time or a few friends once in a while. The whole reason I bought a bike is to separate myself from cagers and the pack mentality.
I did the ride from Sydney to Adelaide just before Xmas. I'm returning in the next couple of days. Riding alone gave me plenty of time to ask questions of myself and the decisions that i made in my life in 2023. My returning to Sydney will be enjoyable as well because there is someone who i dearly love at the end of my ride. I took my Harley to the states in 2019, I did 19 States in 3 weeks and averaged over 700miles a day, i also road in rolling thunder for 2019 which was the last on from a national perspective. I did this ride on my own and my 2009 Road King with an S&S stage 2 engine upgrade. I had no issues and my bike never missed a beat, met some outstanding people and some really great bikes. Not sure if I would it again as i was 63 at the time. I also did all my own logistics for transporting both ways.
Riding with a mate or 2 is fun but riding on your own has its own rewards i listen to music, take in Gods wonderful creation and stop when i see something worth photographing and the voice in my head constantly reminding me to know my limitations. Happy days my friend .
Very good discussion sir. Thank you and Merry Christmas! My preference is to ride alone about half the time and with 3 other friends on other occasions. I don’t like to ride with people I don’t know because I don’t know their riding style and can’t anticipate their moves.
Interesting perspectives. I ride alone 99% of the time, but instead of helping me to escape my thoughts it helps me to sort out my thoughts and to calmly deal with any emotionally charged issues that have popped up. Riding alone is good for my "soul", if the word soul is used to describe mental well being. I like riding with small groups too, but for different reasons.
Mostly alone or small groups with friends. Riding in bigger groups in the busy traffic in Western Europa is not comfortable or fun. Thanks for video’s.
I generally ride alone. Except when I'm riding with other people and they are a finite group of three others (1 brother, 2 cousins). We get together about once a month for a day ride and once a year for a several day road trip. Of the three options my favorite is the road trip.

I agree. I bought my bikes to ride them. Joining an MC club was never my intentions. I always go my way anyway and never liked follow the leader. Now I'm 65 and had enough of most people that listening to my Big Shots barking is my blissful place. Dialed in.
I mostly ride alone. I don’t like group rides, the last charity one I did there was some dangerous riding, it was luck no one got killed. I have a tight knit bunch of 6-7 usual suspects I enjoy riding with, know well, and we know each others riding. But usually it’s alone, and generally I prefer that. I’ve been around Australia and every which way by myself, and never once thought I wished I had a mate with me. And if you’ve ever done that type of thing you’re never really alone, always someone wants a chat.
Riding in a group is great for people who like to ride with others. You get friends, meet new people go on long trips have fun. That said I ride alone, most of the time. I don't like riding in a group for the most part because where they go you go. Sometimes it's too congested, too many riders. When your alone you go where you want to go when you want to go. I know it's dangerous sometimes, but in today's traffic every time you swing your leg over your bike it's a roll of the dice. If you like it more power to you.
I don't ride in groups because I've always been an outsider and an outcast. Didn't even fit in in a Veteran Memorial Ride and I'm a Cold War Vet. So I've quit trying. Plus I've mainly owned Kawi's, including my current Vaquero. Only been on one ride I felt welcome, even my wife noticed the difference. A Goldwing Poker Run in Louden, NH on my 2nd bike, a mint cond 79' GL1000 16yrs ago. I'm 57, need to accept the fact it'll probably never change and stop caring. It hasn't since I got my lic 18yrs ago. Peace.
The crew i ride with is over an hour and a half away. So... I ride alone all the way to the meet spot THEN do a group ride THEN ride alone for another couple hours. Funny part is the "home" texts that come in as i do the 2 hours back home to where i can finally send mine (typically last). 2B honest, i wouldn't give EITHER up 😎
I’ve been riding and traveling alone for a lot of years, been on some pretty desolate roads alone, have traveled with others, but I find it easier to ride/travel alone
Huge congrats to Kevin Rain for the $1000 Resurgence Gear prize pack. We will be in touch to sort out your prize pack 🙂 Merry Christmas Aymen & everyone, another great vid, loving the channel!!
I prefer to ride alone. Group dynamics are not for me. Alone, I'm as free as a bird, the best way to be for me. I'm not a leader and I'm not a follower, I march to the beat of my own drum and I like it that way.
I'm 60 ride alone, a few group rides 2, 5 riders and one 120 group ride. Enjoyed all the rides prefer riding alone though. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Still haven't bought a Harley. Can get parts from Japan for my Suzuki for the rest of my riding days.🤣😂😅
I ride alone and enjoy each trip, (5,000+ miles in a week) I take. I rode with relatives and what a disaster, they changed the itinerary without notice which impacts the trip schedule, normally not an issue but I did get tired of being MF'ed for picking stop overs to far. Being on the top of Beartooth Pass for seven hours while one member was calling for a helicopter to take him and his bike off the mountain doesn't count. There were many rubs like that and I never experienced any more when riding alone.
Nice one Aymen. Congrats to the winner. 👍🤜 I like to ride both alone and in a group. Riding with people who are better extends my skills but I am careful to still ride my own ride and not over stretch myself. I don’t get the chance to do it much tho, as I work odd hours and ride when I feel like riding (which is any moment I get the chance). Safe rides 👍🤜
I used to ride with friends, three to six at a time but we all knew how to ride and each others habits. Now it's mostly a solo thing 'cause most people are too busy trying to survive, but I don't like to ride with people now because most of them suck at it. They ride without regard for others of the group and they have bad and even dangerous habits. I find that I spend my day watching out for these fools and I'd rather be tooling along without the constant threat. Say what you like, but I'd rather ride alone and safe.
I don't do toy runs or huge organised runs but small groups are ok on occasion, if riders are nervous about group rides don't go on an actual "MC" ride if you're ever invited, you ride beside each other, stay in that spot, go the speed set at the front and overtake cars as one so the group isn't broken up, stressed? LoL, peace.
I prefer to ride alone unless I know the other guy rides like me - 100 miles stop, piss, gas, go, repeat. Typically Paris to Caen would take me about 4 hours. Then I rode it with Fat Frank, who was a good bloke, but a pain to ride with. Half an hour, cig break, half an hour, tea break, half an hour, piss break, repeat. It took us ten hours. That's why I ride alone.
Most of the time I ride alone, during the week mainly. On the weekends I ride with mates, just a couple! Never been on a big group ride, would like to though!
Merry Christmas And Have a safe ,and Happy New Year May God bless you and your Family . This I Pray for you , You have brought a lot of smiles to my face , watching your Channel . Thank you ! From Digger 👍✌🖖
Personally I ride alone and far from noisy Harleys as I can get. I am old have hearing loss already and do not need to be close to cannon firing exhaust from other motorcycles. Let them ride as they wish, but I will avoid them. The fact I ride alone or solo is my choice from riding with others who do not wish to do as I like to do and are not willing to compromise and only do what they want and expect you to do the same. I do not see my choice as bad nor do I ride and down grade myself. I enjoy the rides for what they are and spend many hours do so.
You had to be from Australia to win because I’m in the USA and I ride alone a lot even from the East Coast to the Midwest and now I resign on the West Coast and if everything goes right one day I’m hoping to do a walkabout on my Harley to the East Coast and wherever it takes me.
I like to meet up with people at stops etc. but I prefer to ride alone. It’s about the freedom to control my own journeys - you sacrifice this freedom when your actions are governed by someone else’s poor preparation or decision making. The hours I’ve spent waiting at fuel stations, pee stops or cafes for “tail end Charlie’s” to get their act together or standing by the side of the road as someone gathers up their spilt luggage or needs to go back for their lost wallet. Factor in the additional danger of group riding where you’re so reliant on others around you not messing up and taking you out and I personally find it just too stressful to enjoy.
I'm 51 with some city miles lol. I'm working on it though, I've lost 50 LBs in the last 6 months and now I'm hitting the weights and I feel great! I haven't felt this strong in 10 years. How old are you?
I was all for alone learning then i branched off into meeting groups but i found alot of ego and mental health issues in some the guys some of them projecting on to me when i wouldnt be subservient so that all said im back to riding alone happy out. Meeting the odd guy out and about. Beware of fake brotherhood. Conditional love. Arrogent ego maniacs and the never shifting old biker vs noob dynamic. That said i suppose its like anything all types folk everywhere in everything. But for me im happy to lone wolf it. Im free to be witch is why i got the bike not to go into rules and set times and ppl telling me what to do etc🎉
Riding alone is great. Only time I love riding with ppl is with my Brothers. I won’t ride with ppl I don’t know exactly how they gonna react and exactly how they ride down to knowing when they shift to keep that 6’ distance to the bro in front of me in check
Great video again i especially loved your balanced aproach as useual and that shows maturity shows manhood vs manchildhood. Man the immaturity from some grey beards out there is shocking..
I ride mostly with a group of friends who are extremely good riders. I enjoy group riding because we all look out for one another. We ride in a staggered formation and are very good at anticipating each other’s moves. We signal for road hazard and debris in the road to be avoided. On occasion we will invite new people to ride with us. When we do we usually inform them of what hand signals we will be using and put them is the middle of the pack so we can monitor their motorbike skills. And we always encourage people to ride their own ride and to not ride beyond their skill set. We usually have a planned route so if someone falls behind they can meet up, we also will pull over or slow down for a rider to catch up if needed. My ride skills have increase by riding in a group of experienced rider who look out for each other and if someone goes down😮 help 😊is there. Be safe however you choose to ride.
I pefer to ride alone unless with my local HOG group or others I know. I trust all those riders ! Bigger groups with other riders doing burnouts and weird shit bothers me.. I make some distance between me and thiose riders. I dont want to be taken out by Ego.

Very good advice.
Thank you
Merry Xmas mate thanks for the great vids ride on 👊
Thanks, you too!
Prefer to ride with only a couple of mate's. Riding in a pack is annoying.
Thanks, yes it can be bad
2B honest, i wouldn't give EITHER up 😎
Fuuuucan hate people but love my dog… just saying. Sometimes riding in a group is alright though. Prefer to ride on my own.
I’ve been riding and traveling alone for a lot of years, been on some pretty desolate roads alone, have traveled with others, but I find it easier to ride/travel alone
Many will agree with you
Merry Christmas to all from Oregon !
Same to you!

Same to you!
Great vid Aymen, loved it & Merry Xmas 🎅 🎄 For some reason I was thinking it was Sunday today haha. A day behind 😂
Thanks Aaron, merry xmas to you and your family
I ride alone but it is cool to ride with people also
Thanks
I really like watching your content well done.
Thank you very much
The only reason I ride with groups is just their documentation. They took photos, just that. Nothing else
Always great to get photos, awesome memories
I prefer to ride alone. Group dynamics are not for me. Alone, I'm as free as a bird, the best way to be for me. I'm not a leader and I'm not a follower, I march to the beat of my own drum and I like it that way.
I'm 60 ride alone, a few group rides 2, 5 riders and one 120 group ride. Enjoyed all the rides prefer riding alone though. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Still haven't bought a Harley. Can get parts from Japan for my Suzuki for the rest of my riding days.🤣😂😅
Lol
I have done group rides in my past, however. I only fly solo now, it fits me fine as a pensioner.
Always appreciate your positivity! Merry Christmas to All 💪🏼🎅🏼🎄
Thank you
I ride alone and enjoy each trip, (5,000+ miles in a week) I take.
True peace comes from above.
Nice one Aymen.
Congrats to the winner. 👍🤜
I like to ride both alone and in a group. Riding with people who are better extends my skills but I am careful to still ride my own ride and not over stretch myself.
I don’t get the chance to do it much tho, as I work odd hours and ride when I feel like riding (which is any moment I get the chance).
Safe rides 👍🤜
I ride alone most of the time. Accordion groups where riders don't go constant speed and breaks that are extremely long are intolerable to me.
Yes they can be a pain the ...
LoL, peace.
Thanks that's the way I like to ride in a group. It requires trust and competence
Always best if others ride like you do, thanks
Most of the time I ride alone, during the week mainly. On the weekends I ride with mates, just a couple! Never been on a big group ride, would like to though!
Happy New Year to you and all your family and friends...
😎👍
Happy new year!

My soul was sold with my cigarettes to the black-market man.
Lol great song
I love riding alone el solo loco
Thanks
I prefer riding with a couple bikes but don’t think twice about riding alone with my total focus on the ride.
Thanks
MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄
Thanks and same to you
I like to meet up with people at stops etc. but I prefer to ride alone.
I love group rides but after about an hour of that my nerves are shot lol
Lol must be a hard to ride with group
Look into Meyers-Briggs MBTI.
For some using it as a form of escapism is bad but others it may be the best form of mental health available to them.
Yes that's true, but that too deep for this video
I'm 51 with some city miles lol. I'm working on it though, I've lost 50 LBs in the last 6 months and now I'm hitting the weights and I feel great! I haven't felt this strong in 10 years. How old are you?
🎄🤙
Interesting…..I don’t need to show the world anything. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a happy life.
Merry Xmas to you too
i dont know what you mean? In a group ride its always ride to your own pace ,puts me on my own at the back 😂😂
Lol fair enough
Wise words, thanks
Riding alone is great.
Only time I love riding with ppl is with my Brothers.
I won’t ride with ppl I don’t know exactly how they gonna react and exactly how they ride down to knowing when they shift to keep that 6’ distance to the bro in front of me in check
You missed a good ride today mate. Only rained a little at the end.
Yeah that was unfortunate but couldn't be helped
I ride alone. All my friends think im crazy for riding.😅😅
Lol thats tragic
I ride alone hell everyone I rode with up and died at 72 still riding
Great to hear you are still going
Happy 2024
Thank you - same to you
Why is your group blocking all 3 lanes?
if it's the part i think you are ref to, the road was blocked off from traffic for this ride
I work alone, I live alone on 30 acres, I ride alone. If I don't know you by now you got nothin I want you got nothin I need & visa versa.
Great video again i especially loved your balanced aproach as useual and that shows maturity shows manhood vs manchildhood. Man the immaturity from some grey beards out there is shocking..
I appreciate that!
Harley riders have a hard time saying "ride" without saying "my Harley".
Great scenario you describe
Riding in packs is extremely dangerous.
Yes it can be, but it's also fun
Have a wonderfull chistmas everyone🎉 and i ride alone. My friends dont ride motorcycles unfortunatly 😊
Sorry to hear that! Merry xams
I pefer to ride alone unless with my local HOG group or others I know. I trust all those riders ! Bigger groups with other riders doing burnouts and weird shit bothers me.. I make some distance between me and thiose riders. I dont want to be taken out by Ego.
