I love my 21 Revival! People don't realize how comfortable it is to ride with the pogo stick seat. Plus it handles like a dream! You can put it anywhere and it doesn't complain! 😎
The Icon collection is really cool. As a Road King owner and rider, I'm glad HD is still making the RK Standard as part of its Icon collection and hopefully not discontinuing the RK altogether. The magenta hits my sweet spot. I've seen the orange in person but like the magenta better. Good video as always!
One of these with a 135 in it would be a dream bike. Love my Road King Special but would have gotten this if it was available at the time. Beautiful bike. The Magenta one is my favorite.
I seen the magenta colored one in person today at my local harley dealership Powder Keg Harley Davidson in mason, Oh. Anyways it was literally the most gorgeous bike on the floor, it blew me, my dad, and uncle away and left us talking about it for many hours after!
Hey Matt....the Highway King is awesome ....love both colors...you should do a full video with Jerry ......industrial knowledge in his head is crazy huge...their must be stories for days ...lol...thanks for another great video..kr
That was simply a absolut awesome Bike ... this is a Modell that let my Heart higher ... a real HD Style ... I like the Red one but the orange is awesome too ... THAT is my Way of Style ... Best Quality in Classic Look I SIMPLY Love it ... Thanks for showing it Matt 😊
Hey Matt, absolutely love it! The magenta color is my favorite. If I could add another bike to my garage, I would buy one in a heartbeat. Also, the memories from Jerry are priceless. Later…
Matt, They're both awesome colors but, the orange stands out! It was just certain parts of the video that made it (side view while test riding) appear shorter in length. I've seen that happen elsewhere. You rock and thank you for sharing!
Always enjoy listening to Mr. Jerry talk about Harley's. Would be nice to have experienced decades of selling Harleys. What would be cool is to take him to the Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley, NC and just stand with him and the staff to just listen to them talk about the motorcycles.
This shouldn't have been a limited icon. This should've been a part of the normal range with the 114 engine I feel personally. Great video as always Matt 👍
When I was growing up Vans were skateboarding shoes. Apparently sometime in the last 10 years they became the motorcycling boots of choice. This is a very nice looking bike; love the classic styling.
Still have my stock 75 Electraglide. Glad to see those Hi Fi colours back. One thing Americans excell at is spraypainting. The top of the windscreen should be set to be level with your nose height .
Now dats ol' skool cool! HD needs to go back to its roots with bikes like the styling of the 77' Superglide Low rider and Sportster. Those 2 along with this Electra Glide are the 3 last really prettiest bikes they made.
Just got one from timber town Harley in Salem Oregon, what a steal rides like a dream, seat height could be a problem for smaller riders I am 6ft and it only just works Reno here I come (north meets south)
The blue and white harley Elvis owned was for sale in Bedford, Texas at the dealership. It was there when I got my 2021 sportster. $16,500 not a bad price....
Traded my '17 Road King for a '21 Road Glide Special. While the RGS was certainly a nice bike, I felt "Buyer Remorse" after a season on it and longed for my Road King back. This looks to be the bike for me! Love the content of this channel, especially the road trippin' vids!
What a beautiful bike. I would love it in red but the magenta looks pink - not to my taste. Love the bottom of the screen coloured as Harley did with the Heritage - love that old school look. 😊 Thanx. Matt. Ride safe. 👍🤜
🛑🛑 That’s a REALLY Cool Bike!💯 Harley is hitting a Home Run with these Icon Bikes. The bike you featured, should be a DeLorean. Those bikes presented as they are, become a Time Machine; taking me back to a time that I can remember my “2 wheeled fever” beginning. I remember watching guys riding bikes like that past our house when I was a kid. 😂👍💯 It is the nostalgia and memories of those days gone by, that will sell these bikes quickly. 👍 Great Video Matt. 😀👍 You looked good riding that bike. 💯
Nice review with your dad! The Orange wins,as any designer would say the color pops and I'd have to agree. As a tc Road King owner these two put a smile on my face. Elvis has one on order for sure.
Damn your dad has pretty good recall. The stories he could tell. laughed my head off when i heard in the background that he wouldn't qualify after a credit check... 😆🤣
Hi Matt... I had a Road King Classic in black years ago and miss it terribly... So, now I have a deposit on a hi-if magenta with a local dealership here in NJ and it will not arrive until next month so they cannot comment on it, I am 5'10" with a 32" inseam, hope I can fit on it, but I believe the seat is adjustable.. can you please comment on adjustability of the seat height? I'd be interested in knowing if it is possible and how much it can be lowered, also, on the back of the bags are those reflectors or working lights? thanks in advance if you can help...love the videos!
Love the look of the hi-fi orange. Also the general look of the bike overall is just very very nice. I'd be tempted to trade in my 2020 RG for one but I'm kinda tempted by what the next generation Road Glides are going to be after seeing the new CVO. The new fairing, suspension and engine overhaul really have me drooling.
Orange all the way. This is a fantastic looking bike. RK Standards and Heritage Classics scream vintage Americana, and I’m here for it. Even tho I ride a Limited, those 2 bikes have a special spot in my heart. My first Harley was a Heritage. And the Highway King kicks it up a notch.
Matt, another good video. If you are interested in more of the changes from year to year, join the AMCA. They have a lot of information on line. Or, you can go to the SoCal chapter meet. The senior judges are pretty knowledgeable. Your dad was close on the year the Linkert went away. The 1966 Shovelhead had an "L" body Linkert. (One year only) I think the Sportsters got Tillotson carburetors and the big twins got Bendix. (I could be wrong, but maybe correct) I have an original paint, unmolested 71 Electra Glide. It has a lot of carry over parts from the 60's.
I've got 2 harleys already, but after I got run over again the ol lady aint going no more, so that solo seat and 114 engine and classic look is really appealing to me.
Would be the orange one for me. I had a '99 standard RK I bought new and now have a '14 RKS I bought with 500 miles on it. I also own a '17 RGS. I like my RGS especially for long freeway rides crushing miles but if I had to sell one it would be the RGS. Deep down I'm a big RK fan. I really think that extra weight of the RGS takes away a lot from the riding experience on most types of roads we ride for the most part. Lucky for me I get to keep them both. My wife has an old '98 Heritage with over 100k on it. We used to tour with it and my '99 RK for many years but now she and I switch off with the '14 RK and the '17 RGS when on trips, keeps us from getting tired butt syndrome on those long day's in the saddle. The old '98 is just too old to be dependable on a long trip but it is her baby and will be passed down to our daughter after we're too old to ride anymore. I might try and find one of these Icon RK's in a few years after the price devaluates some. I'm retired so I have to watch my penny's a little closer these days. They are gorgeous bikes for sure!
Great bike! Unfortunately. probably won't see these bikes around. People who buy these will store them away never riding them. You will see these show up on Barrett Jackson in 10 years.
Looks a lot like my bike I painted my roadking with white top on bags and rest bel air pine crest green turquoise. About 14" bars really clean and looks 60s. White walls. My 2002. Snaps necks when I'm out riding it. Nice that they are doing this with roadkings.
Thanks Matt. Great video, spectacular bike combining classic looks with modern power and traction control tech. Need Harley to provide couples therapy to help overcome the “not another motorcycle” hurdle with significant other…!
I have a 69 electra glide shriners parade bike with all the extra lights. All original except the lifters, brakes and carb which I still have all the parts in a box. Hell of a machine with the sealed lower and shovel upper thing of beauty.
They pretty much nailed it and I love that thing! I’d for sure change the air cleaner out maybe to an S&s teardrop, something that would look a bit more at home on that bike. But it’s a beauty!
My local dealer will have a $5000 dealer mark up on this bike. They had a $5000 dealer markup on the 2021 Electra Glide revival two years ago. That means this bike will sell for about $35000 out the door.
My dad's first brand new Harley was a 68 Electra Glide that he bought from you guys (Laidlaw"s)
Wow nice!! Gonna pin this comment.
@@MattLaidlaw
WOW~ A missed opportunity to invite him down to get a deal on the "68" revival !
Oh well , at least I bought one !
Wow!

Nice! Harley brought back a bike from the 60's and Matt brought back a mustache from the 70's.
He has an Instagram account for his mustache. No kidding. Great sense of humor.
@@mojomanmurph1925 I didn't believe you at first. That's too funny!
I don't know what to say other than the most beautiful motorcycle I have ever seen!!!
Agreed, gorgeous.
The Highway King just makes me happy. A big smile everytime i see them, and it's impossible to choose color because both are stunning!
The Electra Glide Highway King in Magenta has to be the best looking bike H-D have launched in a long time, a truly beautiful looking bike.
I like it - can't afford it - bring back the standard Road King!
Have a strong hunch it will be back with updates like they did with the Breakout.
68 was a good year. I was born. Love it.
I love my 21 Revival! People don't realize how comfortable it is to ride with the pogo stick seat. Plus it handles like a dream! You can put it anywhere and it doesn't complain! 😎
I'm speechless - what a beautiful bike - it's unbelievable beautiful
Huge respect to your dad. He didn't miss his guess by much. Proud Revival owner here in VA.
The magenta looks off the charts nice. Wish I had that kind of moolah
Close your eyes and listen - the two generations of Laidlaw sound IDENTICAL!! Great stuff gents!

I would go with the orange. I love this bike...it's unique, really fuckin' cool, with current technology.
The motor company did a great job in my opinion, it looks awesome and is a classic beauty.
Absolutely love the Orange
I'm digging these Icons. That magenta is where it's at
One of these with a 135 in it would be a dream bike. Love my Road King Special but would have gotten this if it was available at the time. Beautiful bike. The Magenta one is my favorite.

I don't usually comment. But I love that trivia bit you did with the owner. That was awesome. He knows his stuff
Beautiful Bike! I am considering buying a bike and from you guys!
That was simply a absolut awesome Bike ... this is a Modell that let my Heart higher ... a real HD Style ... I like the Red one but the orange is awesome too ... THAT is my Way of Style ... Best Quality in Classic Look

A fabulous bike, i want one in orange, hope Harley keep doing stuff like this.
Matt,
They're both awesome colors but, the orange stands out!
It was just certain parts of the video that made it (side view while test riding) appear shorter in length. I've seen that happen elsewhere.
You rock and thank you for sharing!
Thanks for weighing in man. Yea the fish eye lens makes it look shorter
I agree. I definitely like the orange better than the red.
The orange color is very cool...
I love the look of this bike. I'm a sucker for whitewall tires.

Another outstanding video Matt! Your ICON REVIVAL video, made me buy one! Great review, see you soon. FRAN
Nice overview and always enjoy the history as well. Such a nice bike!!
Thanks Matt, and Jerry! Love the icon idea, look forward to the next ones!

When I was growing up Vans were skateboarding shoes. Apparently sometime in the last 10 years they became the motorcycling boots of choice. This is a very nice looking bike; love the classic styling.
I think what happened was the new generation chose style over function. They look cool, but would probably not hold up well in a crash.
@@LA-ff6zk no they wouldn't at all.. lol

“120 years of continuous business” 🤣🤣 love it!
I just bought a 2023 Street Glide Special in Baja Orange so I would have to go with the orange
Nice man. Enjoy the bike 🤙🏼
Great video Matt, as usual! Amazing bike, get mine delivered to Germany in orange in August, will look beautiful next to my 2020 CVO Street Glide.

I’m fighting this one off HARD.
I have a 2019 FLHR that’s paid off ..
That hi fi orange … it makes me weak in the knees
Love that magenta windshield !
I'm pretty sure I'm getting the orange tomorrow. I'm 5'10" and I'm flat footed on it. I do plan on getting a Corbin for it.
Oh thanks! I am 5'10" and ordered the magenta !! Good luck !! I'm in NJ

New Bike but an instant classic. This bike just screams Harley Davidson...love it!!!
This is the perfect Icon model. I wish I could afford just a regular RK.
A nice looking bike well done Harley Davidson.. great video Matt

Yea, that’s a nice addition to the bike.
The Orange gets my vote but they are both beautiful bikes..
you look surprisingly comfortable on this bike wile riding!
The bike is beautiful, actually visually more balanced than Revival. I would go with the magenta.
Great of Harley to tap into their many many years of history. Not many have that much history to tap into
