Good job, you are one of the luo/Acoli who can still speak the language fluently and purely. Eg.of people who r fluent are Dollo, O.Otunnu, Mao, Ocwer, Aryem, Olanya, Odonga, Ayaa, LC 1 Apaa, Onyala, etc keep the good work...
Similar spellings, same sound same spelling. This is important since luos are losing their language to contemporary culture. You are so passionate about luo culture ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have not spoken luo, for over 20yr since am not in the country. Let me test myself with you. BUROO,or Buru, ashes, Bwu, or Vuu, There is no v and s in Acholi luo/lwo.
Please put into consideration that letter "R" has never been in luo vocabulary. Its an acquired foreign letter and I want you to test, just like "h" "ch" Just like no "Z", no "V", X? Any newborn luo baby will really struggle with that letter. Its through training that they get it right. Very aparent. Let me hear from others too. Luos from Alego are the strangest ones, but these people were acquiring women along the way as the conquered southwards. So the Alego still speak the original Luo as they would pronounce that as Bur. Work on the quest of the real origin of Luo as I suspect the name similarity with as far as China and Japan and Western Africa. Happy Conquest, wont you?
