💜💙🌹
I own your album. but i wanted to let you know that i realy loved seeing you having fun, rocking to the song and enjoying you self. I was joining in with the dance and head bangs. When you are smiling and happy you are so cute. 😍🥰♥ I like you very much. you are a wonderful woman and human beeing.💕 And by the way i love your album. i own the vinyl. Are you planing on recording more Music?
If you like this audience, it is from my country, I am Argentine, you should come because we treat all the metal bands that come here like this, we celebrate each band, everyone leaves very happy, we are very effusive. They even made a documentary that you should see about our public and music. I mean about the Argentine public and the passion for music, any recital you come from any band that comes to Argentina feels like that, even the recitals of our local bands
36-24-36 are also what is considered as a womans ideal measurements.
I love watching Beth dancing away to rock songs!
You can so see her up on her mans shoulders just going crazy to this. You can see her love for the music.
Me too 🤤 yumma yumma
For realz. Isn’t she just adorable?🔥🔥🔥
Criminal an original Bon Scott performance wasn't chosen. I love Brian, but this is a signature Bon track for me.
I like Brian Johnson but I always have a little bit of a tough time when they do Bon songs. I understand; what else are they going to do? But Brian Johnson is no Bon Scott!
Took me a lot longer than I thought it would to scroll down to the first comment about this.
Is there even a decent video of Bon performing it live - not lip synched for a TV promo?
@@WhatHaveIMade ua-cam.com/video/iJDc3TbZPkU/v-deo.html
Nah, Bon had many signatures.
My recently passed identical twin brother (11-17-2023),and myself had the pleasure of seeing them on 4 different concert tours.. We absolutely LOVED this band, they Always put on a Great Show !!!
Thank You All for the love!!😪,Still struggling but trying to stay optimistic!!💔
It's always fun to chair dance together with you Beth 🕺💃❤
I love the way you react to this song and especially to the band. AC/DC is one of the few bands everyone reacts kind of the same. They feel the positive power those songs bring to you. And I love how they bring a whole stadium to jump to their songs. It was amazing when I was at Hockenheim in 2009. Unforgettable!
In Australia, at the time we used to say the number 0 the same as the letter O. One of the main TV channels at the time was Channel 0, pronounced the same as the letter. And if you listen to the original version sung by Bon, he definitely says "0", not hey.
I’ll be taking my son, who’s 6, to go see AC/DC at Wembley Stadium in July… I cannot wait and neither can he!
Ah good 'ol "Dirty knees. Thunder chief." 😊
AC/DC never lets ya down. I’ve bounced in the crowd right up front several times at their shows
🤘😎🤘
G'day Beth,
Growing up in the 70s-90s down here in Australia once I heard Aussie Pub Rock I was Hooked, It was not "They are having Success with that style so we should copy" like much of todays music there were just so many AWESOME! Bands having a blast doing it their own way in local pubs.
You mentioned the song was produced by Vanda/Young, Harry Vanda & George Young were part of "The Easybeats" (60s) & wrote "Friday on My Mind" then going on to have a Writing/Recording/Producing Career, their story is amazing.
Another Awesome Aussie "Call Back" song is "Am I ever gonna see your face again" by The Angels, The Call back was not originally part of the song but started by an audience member.
You brought a big smile to my face.😊It warms the heart when you see someone in their happy place. I was lucky enough to see them in 2010 when they brought this concert to Adelaide. It was the best concert I`ve ever been to. The atmosphere that night was truly electric & everyone was on a high like you were. Keep smiling Beth, it suits you.
One of the iconic audiences i have ever seen in a stadium. They are rocking it in a legendary way! I hate large crowds but this is one of the exceptions i wish i could have experienced!
They still tour
When the crowd is into it then it's an amazing experience
Like Slipknot's "Spit it Out" for the "jump the fuck up!" moments as can be seen in their live from Download 2009 show. The right crowd can take a decent band performance and make it something epic. And when the band is also putting on an epic perfomance? GOLD!
This is an absolutely amazing song and I'm so happy you've done a video on it!
You can always tell how far along in the concert they were based on Angus's clothing. Hat and all of it still on, very early.
I have always thought that voice of his is pure natural accent. When he sings, and belts out, this extremely distinctive voice comes out.
Aussie singer Jimmy Barnes also has his very own very distinctive voice.
Thank you for highlighting these band's. There are 3 band's that I can immediately think of where the Audience takes over the vocal. AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Night Wish. All in all some of the best music out there. The stomach issue you refer to. (Acid reflux). I was lucky enough to have an Emergency Medicine background and realized the issue with pH problems. I was on stomach med's for probably 10 year's. I started including a Vinegar based meal into my weekly cycle. (Italian dressing basically) And since have been off stomach med's for an additional 12 year's. Something to consider. May not be for everyone but can imagine it will work for some.
Love you for loving AC/DC
It's refreshing to watch your videoes. I'm tired of all those "first time reaction", so seeing someone who has a big clue to who she's watching AND actually knows what she's talkin about... AND clearly enjoys the music. For the record, I was in that crowd. It was a crazy, electric atmosphere. Those South Americans knows how to rock
The River Plate concert looked crazy. Maybe not the psycho big crowd in the Moscow Monsters of Rock concert, but the energy in Buenos Aires looked fun af.
I am so glad that you add graphics now where you explain technical details. It means I can literally watch one of your vids over and over again, taking notes and learning a whole lot more about music.
Angus Young, one of the greats!!
Love your energy Beth! Thanks for sharing and hope all is well.
What a great reaction/critique.
Proof positive that musical technique alone, although awe inspiring at times, is in and of itself, just a set of tools.
When those tools are masterfully applied to musical expression, theatricality and passionate interpretation, something memorable happens.
Magic stuff. Thank you.
This song should always be listened to with Bon Scott.
Shout out to Buenos Aires .. Every video ive seen of River Plate has been amazing. Those Argentinians can rock the F out.
Beth it is so good to see you! UA-cam has been hiding your vids from me glad to see the algorithm is getting it right again!!! Great job on this reaction!
This review was so awesome! Loved your dancing.
I saw this tour, and it was hands down the coolest, loudest, best concert I’ve ever been to. Nothing has topped it for me. 😎🤘🏽
Bon Scott was an amazing singer, but I've been an AC/DC fan since the Back In Black album introduced Brian in 1980. I've only recently started listening to more of the early years of the band. Brian has said in interviews he was living in Newcastle when he received a call asking him to go to London and audition for AC/DC. He was reluctant as he was working in a shop and didn't think he had the time, but he also received a call to do some voiceover work for a project so he decided to do both things in one day. And the rest is history.
Another great video! Lovely analyst bringing us a fun and educational take on a classic. Keep up the great work!
There is a good reason AC DC are a legend :)
Beth.
I am so happy that you have ventured down this rabbit HOLE. Me being an old fart, I prefer Bon's rendition. I am impressed that these folks are singing the song. I don't think English is their native language. That is a sign of success.!!!! Thanks girl...
You gotta do the Bon Scott version too!
I was so excited to listen to some Bon Scott. So disappointed. :(
Great Song, I remember looking up the lyrics when I first heard it, I have never seen you so livelly while reacting to a song, (You are a hard rocker at heart).
All of these visual features and facts makes me feel like I’m take a music class. I love it
“Beany and Cecil” was a kid’s cartoon show in the late 1950s to early 1960s.
Thank you so much for including some history with Geordie! Finally, a reactor who's using this comparison. Excellent work! Brian has had quite an adaptable voice over the years.
In case you didn't know, Geordie were playing a gig in Sydney at a pub called Chequers in the '70's, which they did a few times. Malcolm, Angus & Bon were watching them play, (Bon got to spend a small amount of time with them while his band Fraternity were touring England), & Bon was so impressed with Brian this night in Sydney. Brian was throwing himself right into it! He was rolling around on the stage floor bellowing! Bon was quoted to say "If anything happens to me, replace me with that bloke!" Little did he or anyone else know, Brian's appendix burst, & refused to stop performing. He played out the gig like this before going to the hospital for an extended stay in Sydney. One magic moment when the singer of Accadacca actually chose his successor without knowing it!
I love the fact that she did some research of Brian, about the origins in Geordie, his technics, the link with bon and where this song came from for people who maybe didn´t know. Cool video here´s your like
Seeing someone who usually gives me Mary Poppins vibes rocking out to AC/DC - quite a juxtaposition!
Live at River Platte was the best crowd ever!
Well done on your new album Beth 👍
Haven't seen the lads in person. I did see a concert film at a cinema.
Kinda a sad story, though. My friend's car was broken into and his stereo stolen. This mattered in the '80's.
Saw them twice, Razors Edge and Ballbreaker tours, in Toronto in the SkyDome. Flipping amazing live concerts!!
You are an inspiration to watch!
En el amanecer de México escuchar esta canción llena de energía y la coach de alegría es que el día va a estar al cien bien Beth por contagiarnos de esta buena vibra 👏👏🍀🍀
Hello Beth Roars, did you know there are two eras of " AC/DC ". The Bonn Scott era and the Brian Johnson era. " Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap " is a song from the Bonn Scott era. It would be the correct version to listen to. " Hey! "
Love your reaction. Thank you.
You have to 'react' to the Bon Scott version, this is a classic of that era of AC/DC
Every radio station I listened to played it when it came out. I'm 55 and grew up in Chicago.
I love the way you not only analyse voices, but also the music with it. I forgot your seated dancing. You keep getting better!
Acid reflux can be caused by many causes, but meds are available. Don't suffer in silence.
Angus and I are almost twins, but I wear a Brian hat!
I saw them at The Marquee Club in London on July 25, 1976. Amazing!!!!
Hi Beth from Australia ❤ Love AC/DC, but on a small note, Bon Scott was actually the second lead singer of this band. The original line up included Dave Evan’s as lead singer. Bon was a great lead singer though before his passing which was due to over consumption of alcohol. He was left to sleep it off in a car overnight and chocked on his own vomit. There is a lesson here. Look after your mates when they can’t look after themselves. It was his family who wanted the band to continue, and Bon liked Brian. I am glad they continued on. We have a Statue to Bon in Fremantle, Western Australia.
RIP Bon Scott and the incredible Malcolm Young from this band 🕊🕊
dave evans is just a footnote in history because he briefly sang with the band. yes he was the first but never recorded an album just a single that Bon did over. if you ask dave evans who was the best AC/DC singer and he'll tell you it was him. he's just a prancing pony with dyed hair.
He recently did a version of "Killing Floor" with Slash and his voice was a lot smoother (for lack of a better word). That iconic grit comes through in spots, but if somebody played it for me I don't think I would have guessed it was Brian Johnson.
Listening to Fable right now on a Friday night in Cape Town. Body Armour is insanely good. Well done girl.
I saw them 3 times... 1996, 2009 and 2015. This tour was the best, and also the last time with Malcolm... rest in peace Sir. ❤ But according to Brian's autobiography, the gig in Edmonton in 2015 was the gig (in pouring cold rain... it was miserable except for the band, who were troopers and were as always excellent!) was the cause of Brian's hearing issues for a few years (which was followed by Axl Rose replacing him... thankfully only temporary). I'm so glad Brian's back, I hope I can see AC/DC again very soon! ❤🤘🎶
It never ceases to amaze me how the rockers knew when lyrics were tongue in cheek and the "establishment" took it seriously. Thanks for the trivia about Cecil and Beanie, flashback to 60s tv!
You have to come to their show in Argentina
While I occasionally enjoy watching other React Videos, you're the only one I subscribed to as you're just.. you. You're "normal" and enthusiastic. I love it! With all the knowledge you have and the explanations you give! It's amazing.
Still would love you to do one of the many, many songs I listen to haha.
Here's my suggestion, VulfPeck - BackPocket (live at maddison square garden)
My first concert was AC/DC in 1985. It was the Back in Black tour and it was Amazing!!!! Still one of my favorite bands and concerts!
Back In Black Tour was 1980-1981. In 1985 they were doing the Fly On The Wall Tour.
@@multicamprojects6185 you are correct. It was a long time ago and I am getting old! lol
Great reaction Beth. 36"-24"-36" was also considered by many men as the ideal 'measurements' for a woman at that time.
I grew up watching Beanie and Cecil and even had a Cecil doll with a pull string that would evoke some of his best lines. My mother-in-law, for some crazy reason, had tapes of all the Beanie and Cecil shows so my four daughters got to see them. There are so many brilliant, meme worthy quotes in these episodes.
Great reaction to a great heavy metal band! 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for doing such a fine reaction to one of my favorite bands on my teenage years!
Congratulations for doing your homework so well - so many informations about AC/DC in this video!
I'd just add some of their songs to your AC/DC's hits list: "For those about to rock we salute you"; "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock'n roll"; "Who made who"; "Money talks"; "Jailbreak"; "Let there be rock".
Something fun for Beth would be to type this into her YT search: "Jim Breuer impression of AC/DC doing the hokey pokey"
😄 I was just thinking of that yesterday!
Shake it!
Shake it!
Shake it!
I saw them in 76 on the 'Dirty Deeds...' tour. Outstanding and sooo loud!
The real difference between Brian and Bon singing this song, IMO, is the you believed that Bon could do this stuff. Brian, great voice notwithstanding, not so much.
Like the difference between Sean Connery and Roger Moore 😎
Such fun!
Would love to see you do For Those About To Rock We Salute You from this same concert always enjoy your reactions and analysis
Great review, Beth! I was lucky enough to have met AC/DC years ago during their “Who Made Who” tour in the mid 80’s. One of my friends asked Brian why Angus does the scream at the end of “Dirty Deeds” and without missing a beat he answered “It’s simple lad, because he can’t sing”, lol. Also, as to the phone number it is a girl’s measurements, lol. 36-24-36, oh! Same in “Whole Lotta Rosie”, 42-39-56. 😂 Cheers!
ACDC spellbound is a must.brians vocals are on point.👍
* AC/DC spotted on sewing machine by Margaret Young..Malcolm & Angus' sister. Not sure Malcolm be anywhere near a sewing machine. Margaret used to make Angus' performance costumes including Zorro, super ang & other things b4 they settled on schoolboy.
The joy in your face is brilliant. Have you done a video with Annie Ross? She does amazing vocals like a trumpet I can never describe a singer as you do I can recognize a singer by their voice if I know them. Ella Fitzgerald sings like an angel and the trill in her voice is gorgeous, her voice aged beautifully. I love your videos
This song was created with Bon Scott as lead vocalist. That would be the interesting reaction. I love how Brian sings... when he's not with AC/DC
I can't listen to them without Bon. 😢
AC/DC's iconic song Thunderstruck has been covered by a bluegrass band Steve 'n' Seagulls. You should check it out. A friend of miners first concert was AC/DC and they opened with that song. He loves hearing covers of it so I keep my ears open and that's how I found this excellent cover, with spoons, gut bucket and acordian!
Mate, I love your take on this!
Thank you!
🎵Killing Floor 🎵 Slash & Brian Johnson
I just listened to it today...so goooooooddd
This is a great video. I love how you include information. I even learned some things, and I teach this stuff (This is actually one of the first songs I teach my guitar students because it has so many different open chords in it). As for Brian's vocal style, I can tell you that it's a combination of style choice and abuse. My voice has gotten more gravely with age and over-doing it, but also trying to channel people like Mojo Nixon and Noddey Holder. I know the guys in AC/DC had a soft spot for Nazareth, so that may play a part. I also smoke and have severe acid reflux and those things have scratched up my voice. Another aspect is the cause that also made people like Little Richard sound the way he did: volume. Older equipment had trouble keeping up with the volume of both the instruments and the crowd, so singers had to scream to be heard. Look at old footage of bands like Black Sabbath. Ozzy was using two mics taped together, and he still had to scream sometimes to be heard. Mostly though, I think Brian Johnson sounds like this because it's how he wants to sound. Too bad he got the earplugs memo late in life though.
Again, excellent video. AC/DC will always be what rock and roll is supposed to sound like.
Edit: Malcom and Angus Youngs' sister was the one who suggested AC/DC. She used to make Angus' stage outfits and that's why she noticed the acronym. They tried a number of different outfits before settling on the school boy one. They wanted something to suggest that he was very advanced as a musician, a whiz kid, if you will. In early videos you can see him in a Superman suit, dressed as an angel, and I think he wore a gorilla suit once.
Beth você precisa ver o clip Deo Vero de Guilherme de Sá, é simplesmente uam montanha russa de técnica e controle vocal
Beth you need to see the clip Deo Vero by Guilherme de Sá, it's simply a roller coaster of technique and vocal control
I was quite impressed with the song Decibel from the Black ice album.
Some pop band in the early 2000s had a song called, I think, "High Voltage" that sampled Bon's singing of the lyric.
It is a great song. I had no idea how well it would age when it was released.
Great video, love the deep dive with background info and even some Geordie footage!
If you wanna hear what Brian's more natural voice sounds like today, check out his recent collaboration with Slash covering Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor". I'd love to see your take on it!
Now I'm a fan of Brian Johnson, but this was one of those songs, that Bon Scott just brought a little extra to the performance. His vocals just gave the song a more sinister edge.
listen to Shake a leg from the back in black album, in that song you can tell he didnt fully get rid of his clean vocal sound in the early part of his acdc career, it was around the release of the bands album Blow up your video in 1988, it was clear that Brian was going raspy full time with his vocals, Fly on the wall, flick of the switch, and for those about to rock, those were the 3 after BIB and each have brian using his clean vocals in some way, Blow up your video was the first one that you dont hear any form of clean vocals from brian.
Ive been to a lot of concerts starting in 73 with Zeppelin, i was 13, and I've seen most of the greats. The Stones. The Who, Floyd, The Almond Brothers, Skynyrd , you get the idea. Never saw AC/DC ,but the videos I've seen, i can't think of a band with a more interactive participation with the audience. My loss... Beth makes it even more fun. 😊
We had a coworker, we sang this song "Julie's deeds and they're done for free"
Eric Burdon is also a Gordie and their voices are very similar . Eric said it was from the stench of the polluted river and the grinding poverty of his youth. His school was between a slaughterhouse and a shipyard , misery. angst and anger in those voices. Love the way you dance ,you would have been right at home at a Status Quo concert .
Love the parody "Dirty deeds, done with sheep"😅
you are awesome Beth Roars
❤🙂
You should check out the latest thing Brian just did with Slash (Guns & Roses) and Steve Tyler (Aerosmith) Slash feat Brian Johnson - Killing Floor (Howling Wolf cover). I think you’ll like it.
Beth is a candidate for "ultimate fantasy girl" ...ESPECIALLY when she "rocks"
(Love her dancing/bopping!)
Brian is AWESOME beyond mortal ability
but
Bon was a GOD!
One word was their secret weapon: fun.
I really enjoyed your technical breakdown. I hope you actually enjoyed the song.
40 seconds in and i'm getting B-52's "Love Shack" vibes....awesome
Slightly tangential but as it was mentioned how influential Little Richard was there's an excellent documentary for those that might want to learn more about him. It's called Little Richard: I Am Everything. Not sure where it's streaming now but worth seeking out. Hard to think of anyone that's had more influence on modern music.
Thanks for your knowledge and the video. You can analyze AcDc Back in black live at donington?. Greetings from Argentina
Hope you do more AC/DC
Also hope sometime you’d consider Cian Ducroit “Part of Me”
I heard that Bon Scott went to a performance on Brian Johnson's but left before finding our what was going on and he told the band about how he loved his performance he said it was great he was rolling around on the ground and screaming but what had happened was that Brian's appendix had burst so he indirectly was responsible for him becoming the lead singer of AC/DC !!
other songs that you might study for audience response are Somebody to Love and 39 by Queen, War Pigs by Ozzy or Black Sabbath and Master of Puppets by Metallica!
I love this song. ACDC and Joan Jett both made it awesome.
